I'm amused by the people saying "it's not hard, you just need this and that and that..."; as if getting enough CE and crowns to build or buy set of 5* gear is cheap/easy for everybody.
The amount of... un-goodness of this thread makes me sad.
I go into everything with proto armor helm and shield for the first time. Why? Because its to see if it REALLY is hard. If I can't use my CE to rev, then its considerable and reasonable difficulty for me. At least that's how I check if its worth playing normally.
Why do I use proto? Because alot of people can do FSC in it and not die, and if we can do that, then what's to say I cant do the rest of the content.
I'm happy its really difficult. I'd say compound 42 does seem borderline to false difficulty and unfairness, but if its completeable then who am I to complain /shrug

stop whining about something thats supposed to be hard. Its meant to make you lose. In fact the only reason people are upset when they lose is because we're all too used to winning and never dying in a game. And who are the people that don't die? Either the ones skilled, or the ones on the easiest setting, or whoever has a good connection.
If you cant do it, then you are not skilled and/or have a bad connection and lag. Because these are THE HARDEST parts of the game. You aren't supposed to win. What don't you understand.

TL;DR If its MADE to be extremly hard, then why are you complaining that its hard? If its impossible to complete that's a different story, but the fact that nearly everyone else can complete it makes your argument invalid on all levels. If people can finish it, then its not unfairly hard. Plain and simple. So really what this thread that you made tells use that you are a underage, are not skilled enough to beat the levels, and like to call people a "noob" and a "no life" because they do better than you and can prove what you say is wrong.

Well considering the fact it was made FOR the people who are end-game, and maybe want the challenge of a SL without having to pay to test their skills instead of attention span (really, thats all FSC has come down to once you've done it enough.)
Yeah its not easy to get to, especially with the price of CE so high (i like it that way but meh), but just because you aren't in 5* gear doesnt mean its impossible. The missions are unlocked technically based on your rank in missions, so assuming you're at the lowest rank, all its doing is testing your skills, and it expects you to have them. Of course gear is important, but if you just run in, NEVER shield, NEVER dodge, and overall aren't ready for the challenge, then obviously you shoudln't play it at that time; such as the OP.
I personally think this is much better than LoA.
LoA is EXTREMELY gunner-unfriendly. Tight spaces, lotsa turrets, lotsa mews and LOTSA HONKING SILKWINGS THAT WE HAVE ONLY 2 VIABLE WEAPONS AGAINST, ONE OF WHICH TAKES US A HUMONGOUS AMOUNT OF TIME TO USE AND ONE OF WHICH EXPOSES US TO A LOT OF DAMAGE.
This is why I never tried getting better at it and abandoned it.
