Hey Spiral Knights!

As the London 2012 Summer Olympics gets underway, the Spiral Knights will have its own olympics as well! There are 5 events: 6v6 or 5v5 Lockdown, 4v4 Blast Network, 2v2 Trivia, Fashion, 4v4 Clockworks racing. Sign up with your guild and represent them PROUDLY! There will be prizes for each event, as well as a digital prize for guilds who rack up the most Guild Points! Sign up your best players and compete for Gold!

Note: All dates do not have a specific time except for fashion for a reason. It's more of a matter of first ready, first served. Whichever matchups has both parties ready to go and have met up and the specified location will be starting.

To sign up your guild:
Make sure your guild members can make it to the days of their participation of the events.
Comment all of your participants in this thread, use the "Apply" button on the website, Mail Zaderules or PM him in game.

IF you have any questions/concerns/etc., PLEASE read the website BEFORE coming to Zaderules. Chances are the website might have already covered the question. If not, ask away and I will make changes to the website.

Now as for addressing the major concern of Lockdown. I am thinking there will be AA and CE Reviving and UV's. There is no way for Hosts to check EVERY SINGLE PERSON to see if they're breaking these rules. I'm sorry but theres no possible way. All I can do is make them ALL available. Everyone use what is at your disposal.

Could my guild, um, maybe hold an event too? I could mail you the specifics. It would be called the Heartless Runners. It would involve contestants going through the clockworks with a judge with him to monitor and record using a recording program. The point system would be inverse, with the contestant holding the least points would win. You would get points for picking up hearts. There could also be other point modifiers. It could be a battle related competition without requiring a whole guild to be in on it. (Although, I may change it to allow for teams.)

Anyway, this idea seems great! Why, I might stop calling Tersa Larry for this! XD

Cool, It Works but the game doesn't. :( Anyway back to business, Shidara what are the names of those Olympic Halos. I would like them to follow the torch in the Opening Ceremony. Also unfortunately, the Lockdown Tournament is full but you can sign up to some of the other events the Spiral Knights Olympic Games 2012 has to offer. If you want, I can put any guild interested in participating in the Lockdown on the Waiting List, but do not guarantee yourself a place.

I meant I wanted to host my own event as part of it. But the Olympics has 5 rings, and there are 5 events currently. Having a 6th wouldn't make sense IMO for this reason. Anyway, I am going to enter my guild. I'm just rounding up people who want to join. We'll likely be part of the trivia and the clockworks. Maybe the BN too.

EDIT: If this is all in PST, than it is easy peasy for me because I live in CA. :D

The Post of Reminders/Shtuff

1) I put a website at the top that allows you to bypass the blockage of Youtube. For some reason, they don't allow Beat It-Michael Jackson in America.

2) @ Autofire Well, the main problem would be gathering up the prizes. I don't have enough prizes for 6 events. I'm only covering 4 of those events. Apparently, Theoncomingfire got Rubyeclipse to donate prizes for the Lockdown event. Also, I don't want to add some event into the mix at the last second.

3) Tomorrow is the LAST DAY to sign your guilds UP! So, if you want to participate, HURRY and SIGN UP!!

4) If you are in the fashion, make sure you have submitted your outfits ASAP.

Yes, I'm hurrying.

I know today is the last day. And no, we don't plan on fashion. Since our guild is aura based, most everyone (who is rich enough) has just a set with accessories on it. I'm sorta the only exception, but I stupidly put divine dragon wings on my dragon suit (got the ruby bombhead like you recommended, Tersa :D) and now I'm too attached to the wings to remove them unless I can find some toasty ones. *Facepalm*

I can't find a time

I can't find anywhere that says the times of the trivia matches or the clockwork matches. It's hard to organize people when I can't even tell when they start.

EDIT: it also says don't join the clockworks team if you don't plan on using mist. Why not? I think I'm going to use mist for reviving, but I'm going to buy an ele pass. Is this a problem somehow?

EDIT2: oh wait, I might not have to get an ele pass; if it is just missions and not full clockworks. :P At first I thought it said from depth 0 to the last level of the clockworks.

@ Autofire The reason there is no time is because it runs on a "first ready, first served" basis. The matchup with both teams online and ready to go will be the first ones to go. I figured putting times on everything would screw everyone up, especially the people that live like literally on the opposite side of the world.

In my opinion this "fire come first served" policy for matchups is not going to work. You're essentially taking a crap shoot with the probability of participants being online at the same time on their own whims. You should be assigning time windows for certain matchups to occur so that guild leaders can advise their team members to be online during that time. It is too much to expect people to be able to be on call 24/7 in case another team just happens to have their team ready.
