I really think SK needs this. Pets could be used to fight, carry ores, ride it etc.
Wouldn't it be cool if you could tame your own wil Snipe, and then use it as your sidekick.
I this this would add a lot of depth into the game, you could name your pet, then buy various armor and equipment, guilds could have their signature pet that everyone has.
This is something that I just feel would make SK even better.

Enough flaming. Say something constructive.
Pets of the kind you've described would encourage soloing, which is naturally discouraged in an MMO. Player "pets" are much more effective.
Use the search bar to get a feel for how to refine your pets idea, and to see how such ideas would be received by other players. I'll give you a hint: don't post about pets unless you have something new and totally amazing to say about it. Anything less tends to annoy most of your fellow players.
