Just don't bring your DVS anywhere nearby. Or any Dark Matter.
My own, limited idea: a zoo or menagerie. We've pretty much settled that pets aren't going to implemented, but this would be a relatively harmless way to add fauna that doesn't want to kill you.
Just how many rooms are we going to be looking at anyway? Kage no Senshi is already trying to work out a budget ...
A theater where we can watch our Anime xD
OR AN ARCADE GATE IN OUR GUILD HALL :O
Apparently you can have more than one floor so it's going to be a lot of rooms. Maybe.

awesome update and congratz! but i see a few bugs in it.
1 the storage which allows players to grab any weapon or gear they like and make it theirs forever aint gonna catch on as nobody wants their divine avenger falling into another freeloader. id say you make it limited time and players can only use them for a limited time .like a day or so(so they can taste the awesomeness of that combuster and go immediately to get it probably buying energy) + players only need to get to a guild to progress through missions as they can get gear for free!!.
2 also make the treasury accessible for GM *to pay for furnishings and expansions **only** so that all the cr going into it does not go only to pay the upkeep.
tnx
Stealth patch!
Hey, it's me, talkin' to the workers about the Guild Hall update! Yeah, I haven't gotten any intel yet... they sure are quiet about things.
Regarding Point 1, 'Guild Storage' is in quotes, so that isn't the final name, assumably because it doesn't quite capture the spirit of its function. "Guild Gear Dump" might be more appropriate... It isn't to temporarily store your Gears, its a place to dump whatever Unbound Gears you want to donate for the other Members of your Guild to take and build up their own personal arsenals. I doubt anything over 2* Gears will commonly be found in there...
Regarding your Point 2, I agree that someone should be trusted with access to the Guild Treasury, assumably an Officer or GM that is voted by the Guild Members into the position of Guild Treasurer, if not the Founding/Senior GM by default.
And regarding the Guild Treasury, I think a Lottery/Raffle system should be associated with Donations... And the prizes can either be Donated as well, or purchased with Guild Treasury funds by the Guild Treasurer, with the majority approval of the GMs/Officers...
I would like a spawn pad for our guild hall.
Beryl Greaver spawn pad please. Enter at your own risk!
In real life, there is about nothing I dislike more than the neverending offers from vendors offering to "make my life easier" by attaching my credit card to their system for automatic payments.
I like being able to pay online, but I really don't want someone else to decide when this should happen. Get your fingers out of my pockets please.
NO AUTOMATIC PAYMENTS
For both guild members, and for guild hall treasuries, a human hand should be required to make the payments.
Caveat: Before now, if someone complained about an absent guildmaster, I would have told them to get over it and found a new guild. Now that this guild hall issue is at stake, I think some remedy or appeal process should be added to allow for GM succession if the current GM goes missing for something longer than X amount of time. Probably equivalent to the time period in which rent is due, or maybe two rent periods. If a responsible GM is going to be missing that long, they should name a second GM on their own. They can always demote them when they get back if they wish. It should be an issue decided by the more senior guild members. Officers, then oldest guild members.
NO AUTOMATIC PAYMENTS
When I read Eltia's comments about merging Recruit, Member and Veteran into one guild rank, my first impression was negative. Same reasons as anyone. I did not see the point and I like the prestige of being called a Veteran.
In the actual game, guild rank means nothing. The party leader is the highest ranking player. In reality, your actions and words mean more, but for first impressions, your game rank and accoutrements mean something because they are visible to all players. We are judged by what we wear.
MERGE MEMBER AND VETERAN
After reflecting on it, I see Eltia's point about simplifying the ranks. In some SK guilds, being promoted to Veteran means something, and in others it is nothing more than a meaningless expression of popularity. Boil it down, and the only ranks that really matter in the context of a guild are the ones with responsibilities: Officers and Guild Masters. Everyone else is a member.
But what about my prestige for being a Veteran?
We now have multiple methods in game for acquiring prestige. Armor, weapons, accessories, and now even actual Ranks up to Vanguard with the option to acquire more Prestige stripes by completing prestige missions. Game Ranks aned Prestige mean something because they are earned by completing missions.
ADD GAME RANK AND PRESTIGE TO FRIENDS LIST
What I would do, is make that GAME RANK and PRESTIGE visible in the Friends list and the Guild member list, so you can see the relative current ranks of your listed friends without needing to hunt them down and inspect them. It might even prompt a few ATTA BOY message to friends when you see them achieve a new level. Such a visual marker is also of some practical use when determining who is more appropriate to invite to particular missions. Current guild ranks are meaningless in this regard.
RENAME RECRUIT TO GUEST
Many guilds instantly promote recruits to members, simply because people do not like being called a recruit. It is like being called a newbie. But, there needs to be a rank for new and prospective members until they show whether or not they will be a good fit. That is why I also like the idea of renaming "Recruit" to "Guest".
Guest is a friendlier term for people who are trying on a Guild. How long this Guest status should last must be determind by the GuildMasters themselves. My idea is that Guests should not be required to pay any dues, because joining a guild now has a financial aspect when members are expected to pay dues. Some guilds will set long introductory periods, and some short. That is up to the GM/s of each particular guild, and should remain their perogative. No one should remain a Guest longer than the rent period, in my opinion, but again, that should be at the discretion of the GuildMasters to decide. If someone makes a contribution in some other way, they might remain a Guest indefinitely. At least in theory.
ENCOURAGE MULTIPLE GM/s and ALLOW GM SUCCESSION
I am not a big fan of guilds with multiple GM/s, as I find it waters down the guild authority and decision making ability. But with the issue of paying for guild upkeep, any guild would be remiss not to have more than one. I would not change the current system which recognizes seniority, so the founding GM retains the most power. That is as it should be.
As I mentioned in a previous post in this thread, I am in favor of devising some method for GM succession in the event the GM goes missing. We can discuss and debate the details of that until we are blue in the face, and hopefully the OOO solution will resemble what we might come up with as a compromise.
I suspect people will be more attentive to finding ways to contact their GM/s in case real life gets in the way of the game for a period of time. There are ways to do this without compromising the illusion of privacy most gamers thing they have when they cling to anonymity.
MERGE MEMBER AND VETERAN RANKS, ADD GAME RANK AND PRESTIGE TO FRIENDS LIST, RENAME RECRUIT TO GUEST, ENCOURAGE MULTIPLE GM/s and ALLOW GM SUCCESSION
Ah... the temptation. I'll definitely need to stop by to try out all these new features once the update arrives.
It's uplifting to know that these long-awaited guild enrichment features are at last becoming a reality! This is the most exciting update I've read about in a while now. (From a bystander's standpoint at least!)
It's nice to see Spiral Knights still running smoothly, and I hope to see more great updates such as this one in the future. Three cheers for Three Rings! :)

ADD GAME RANK AND PRESTIGE TO FRIENDS LIST
I always hated the Prestige ranks and icons. I don't have a icon next to my name because I don't want to collect enough Prestige to have an ugly marker next to my name and I don't want it to be on the friend list too.
All I can say is, it's done pretty poorly. For example, the event hub is one big magnet for beggars.
"El, so you made 137k in last 7 days..."
"yea I bought elevator pass."
"Can I has 3k plz?"
"..."
Yes, it's my fault to add beggars to my friend list, only if I can know who is a beggar ahead of time... Three Rings you don't happen to sell oracle right?
I think if we are to attach those guild rank and prestige to our friend list, it's better to let the users to control what get displayed. Personally I don't like braggers nor do I like to brag. I like my privacy and just want to play the game.
So please, no more useless "decoration" or ways to brag to other people I rarely know them. This whole bragging business can go both ways. To the braggers it's a God Send. To people who want some quality gaming experience, do you think they enjoy playing with beggars?
Do you think it has to do whith getting more time for the guild hall update??
So.... um.... it's been a while. Two weeks.
You guys are releasing this soon, right?
Maybe they go by Valve time.
Oh my liquids, why did I bring that up.
Do NOT get me started on Half-Life 3...
omg we must wait so long, you told us that it is in work in april...
omg you wait so long with the best uptade (how wants danger missions than we already had 3 or 4)-.-

Thats been in the test server since GitM was in testing, so they're probably getting closer.
Well, if it's being tested, that means that it will be released pretty soon. Probably about two days before all the bugs get fixed
The extended Surge promo is because of the advertizing they got through Steam that came about 4 days before the original end of the promo.
Relax guys, the Guild Update will come in due time. Missions came out ~3 weeks after their preview, so it may come out this week or it may just come out whenever it happens to be ready.
WILL THERE BE A WATER COOLER AVAILABLE??
(And Addisond's milkshake machine?)
Refreshments are important to all knights returning from long runs!
But really: WHEN will the update be here?
WHY have I read a rumour that the gh update will come around October 3rd? How do THEY know, anyway? Huh, huh? Why must I be tortured so in this in anticipation of not knowing WHEN!? I have ants in my pants from all this not-knowing! Dx
9/26/12 was a patch that brought info to it.
10/3/12 may be the guild update, 10/4/12 may be playable at that.
Yesterday's patch was info for a new promotion not for the Guild Hall.
Still waiting.
Atleast a teaser would be nice but noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo.
We never get teasers, but sometimes we get previews, and usually pictures. I don't we've gotten pictures yet, though.
Jukebox (as suggested earlier), mini-games (shooting arcades, pin balls, bowling, etc), plants (you can have your own guild garden), kitchen (replace with charging cradle if needed).
