I'm tired of seeing countless threads about energy, and threads complaining about the threads complaining about the energy. Can someone who knows something about this stuff come up with a SOLUTION?
Alright, we KNOW ce prices are insane, but can we FIX it?
No. The price of CE will always gravitate toward the amount of crowns earned from the game's most profitable areas per 10 energy. In FSC you earn upwards of 20 energy's worth of crowns per 10 spent, and energy will continue to climb until that's not the case anymore (the upward threshold on CE price is thus something like 22k). It's simple economics, it's what the game is built on.
Reducing the payouts of currently high-paying areas will make the game more fun for most players, especially those who merely run non-FSC things on mist every day and then stop (because doing so will lower the price of CE and thus increase the value of those non-FSC floors). Specifically because running FSC is not that fun and a lot of us would rather do some of the other things the game has to offer without feeling like we're hemorrhaging money. But either way, it won't fix the fact that the price of CE will always shift, in equilibrium, upwards, until things are significantly worse than they are now. For people who want to grind on CE, anyway.
No, the price of CE can not be fixed if Three Rings will not nerf the boss missions. If you can't handle the price of CE I suggest you might just want to leave now since it will only get worse.

Apply directly to the crown balance.
No, players do not control the market, OOO does.
Nothing players can do will permanently effect the CE market, whereas OOO has it in their power to write the rules regarding the system.
If you want to "fix" the CE price, simply buy hundreds of dollars of CE and sell it at 5000 cr per hundred.
No, players control the market. They bring in the crowns that cause inflation, and they buy the energy that lowers the prices. They set the prices themselves when they post offers in the market.
@Spinex
Read this
The onli solution would be stop buying ce for a month, with less demand prices will go down to attract buyers. However, the onli problem is you cant control the entire sk population.
Slightly hypocritical?
You're making a thread about making threads about making threads of the energy 'depression' we have.
(No error there ^)
I don't get why people decide to make new threads about threads that are just repeated over and over and over on these forums.
I'm getting fed up with looking at general discussion and only seeing the 2 letters 'C' and 'E' on 6/10 posts I glance at.
How about you make a comment on the topic. Instead of creating a new thread about it. Bwcause you're going to find another CE rage thread in record time on these forums. They're literally everywhere, like my fellow Skolver buddies.
@Princeberton
Without the developers, there would be no market. The devs made everything, and it is their system to control. "The players" cannot control anything, as they are receiving crowns as the devs make them. The devs control both supply and demand, as the players will always act accordingly to how the devs make the game.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=os4W2CZcWS0 Can we fix it? YES WE CAN!!!!
That it's based on how much money the sellers want to make and if the buyers want to pay or not.
No one is going to bother finding out how much ce or cr is in the game, so it's about making money.
No, we can't, but O3 can, and soon(tm) they will.
Or, we could make sure all the boss missions start at the Party Lobby, Moorcroft Manor or Emberlight and make you go all the way down until you reach Wildwoods/RJP/Munitions Factory/FSC, and there you actually start to do the objectives that you've been given. Then you just need to rebuff the Boss Depths' Cr Payout back to where they were and the CE Price will do the same.
I did an in-depth explanation of why the Prices are high and how to lower them here: http://forums.spiralknights.com/en/node/63949#comment-527102 (Not my thread, scroll down to find my explanation.)
Why don't you see the 5 separate threads on the first page of the suggestions forum by people who think they've got it all figured out?
