A faint distress call finds its way from deep within the Clockworks to Cradle's surface. Is it a cry for help? Is it a trap? In any case, you'll need to be properly equipped to find out, and the Haven Treasury can help!

From now until 10:00 AM PDT on September 24th, 2012, we're giving away free Surge Prize Boxes with select energy purchases!

Each Surge Prize Box has a special prize inside. Possible prizes include unique variant tickets, as well as a variety of blue-and-red-colored Surge costume gear, such as the brand new Flak Jacket and Draped Armor styles. Not only that, but a lucky few players may find the very rare Hacked Aura accessory inside! Each box also has a chance to contain a piece of bonus equipment, such as a Slot Upgrades or a Heat Amplifier.

There is a known bug with the

There is a known bug with the hacked aura's name not being displayed properly, but instead as 'a.hackedaura.'

It does not affect your ability to use the item, sell it, etc. and will be fixed as soon as possible.

It most likely is 24.80% for items and 1.3% for aura. It just sounds nicer and more promotional. Then again, this still ranges in the "do not want" kind of promo.

To be honest, i like the idea of a promo, but maybe if there was some color themes people actually want to see. people like the look of dark armor like snarby and shadow items. why not make a shadow costume promo, and do some things with black/purple or black/green to go with other darkly colored armors?

oohh a black and purple virulisk helm with a black and purple snarby coat xD that would be awesome... but i digress.

Were you truly blindsided by this?

Also, at the time, you considered $9.99 for a CE a fair trade, since you initiated the transaction; you can't be telling me you are not finding it a fair now.
If so, you seriously need to think more when you buy stuff, IRL and here.

Accept they do .. /all/ the /time/ or do you not watch all the TV adverts advertising upcoming presidents day sales, Christmas sales, fourth of July sales weeks before hand huh?

Fair trade for the moment yes, but its unfair that people who bought CE two days before this promo weren't included they were excluded just because of a special /date/. I think its nebulous we weren't included yes, nor it wasn't announced for people to make a decsion weather to buy then or wait for the promo. Your getting something extra special while people who didn't buy anything on these special dates get nothing. Yet we're the ones using real money to put CE in to the game just as much as you are and not all of us can afford nor are willing to do this all the time.

Actually, I rarely see commercials in advance for sales. And like Sypsy said, wasn't it good enough for you then? Why not now? I bought TF2 when it was $20. Was I a bit disappointed when it went F2P? Yes. For about a minute. But then I realized that when I bought it, I was happy with the price and I got over it.

Not able to afford it all the time? One word: patience. Wait. It's really that simple.

Sales are meant to gain more business, and more people show up for those sales when they knew about them in the first place. If people don't know then people don't show.

The people that show without knowing then find out there's a sale - that's us. We just happened to be strolling by and noticed the sale; we didn't have any idea beforehand.

I opened 4 surge boxes in haven 1, got ok stuff:

1 UV ticket.
Surge Cloak
Surge Crescent Helm
Surge Fur Cap
Trinket Slot Upgrade
11 Confetti.

However, i would like to sell my Fur Cap but it's bound. (because i was testing it to see it would look like) Could i suggest that cloaks should be unbindable? Would be nice.

Next time, use the preview functions at vendors and crafting stations. The button is on the bottom of the left panels that pop up when you interact. this allows you to look at stuff without binding.

Or, you could find the same item in the AH and press "preview" on the bottom.

Sucks that you bound something only to look at it.
Unbinding costumes would be nice, but I think it would kill a "market" that people believe should exist.

The hacked aura vaguely recolors to your PC. Hadn who has a cold PC has a blueish aura.

Tersy. I ish disapoint. Yes, this promo is not as horrible as the hunter promo. Hunter itmes matched absolutely NOTHING outside the promo, which made it extremely expensive to use any of those itmes. At least we have a couple things outside the promo that will matchf the hacked stuff, but... It was a lot better when you had lots of different color choices, to make lots of different costumes. Got a color you didn't like? You could trade it for the color you want (ofc prisma, shadow, divine, and volcanic were harder to get and cost more, but it felt fair).

Thimol - Basically it is, yes. However the hacked aura is a prismatic item and will recolor to your personal color, so it will only be orange if your personal color is orange.

It doesn't recolor perfectly. A player with viridian PC has their aura a blueish tint and red parts still show up.
