So I crafted my vog armor. Now I can use it with swiftstrike buckler and fallen hat to make a hybrid swordy+gunner set focused slightly towards swords... giving max for swords and vh for guns. I can also use it w/ a number of helmets to gain immunity to flame whisps/oil spills, as it has a fire low and normal med uv on it. I'll probably test it out later when I get back from class+dancing... right before bed. Lol.

What armor do you guys think I should craft next? Next meaning after I'm done with the divine mantle I'm making.

Just got back from dancing.. had a great time. I'm incredibly socially awkward, and tend to be jagged in conversation... so I'm hoping that going and doing some form of social something will help to remedy this. I don't want to be intimidating for a plethora of reasons that I shan't list. Things like MMOs are nice, and make it easy to talk to people. Steam is especially nice, as it limits all conversations to directly conversing with others.... but I feel that using such things as crutches is not a good idea. Is anyone else like that, notably due to using such things as crutches?

I'm an officer. The only change I've noticed is that I now have to shove off all responsibility directed at me to drdrj. If this is the first guild you've tried, I'd say you should try visiting some other ones to know what to expect before you get too tied down. You could marry your first love and never realize that there was no such thing as "punch your spouse day". This is all assuming that you haven't been to many other guilds, though.

And I've always been incredibly award, so it's kinda hard to gauge that. It'd just be a drop in the bucket.

Anyways, I just bought a magic hood with freeze max normal mid for the low low price of 55K cr! Now I've got to decide what to do with it...

I could-
A) Resell it for a profit... but thats boring and I'd like something with "MAX" on it.
B) Make it into a divine piece.. but I've already got one piece of divine, so I'd be losing out a ton, and I don't know why I'd bother replacing the divine. Its good, but not THAT good.
C) Make it into a chaos piece.. but then I wouldn't be able to do that cool thing with the whisps, and I'd like it to match my other piece of chaos in its 3 UV-ness.
D) Make it into a feathered something. I don't know when I'd use the feathered awful set, but then what if they come out with a patch that makes it into the feathered defense-is-now-worth-something set? Feathered something set would also give me fire+shock+ice defenses if I got it. That could be useful in the scenario that a level bearing all 3 of those comes out... like lizard lounge, but in danger mission form. And actually hard.

If you're that paranoid about a buff for the feathered suit hold on to the magic hood for a bit, but the buff may never come out. Or you could sell it to me for a 25k profit? But to answer your earlier post waste some time and make some SL gear, they look cool. If you have those already then you should craft a dread skelly suit, the buff they got made them way more usable in the clockworks.

Played a bit more. Did the dailies; up to like 35K prestige. Yeah, I don't play every day so I feel like that's a decent amount.

Did some clockwork levels in Tier 2... found a kilowatt pulsar recipe and a lightening capacitor recipe that I was able to double via Tuhui not buying them... though if you plan it right, you can find people who will buy and sell it to you for 4K on almost all occasions. If I sell both, that's 80K for 12K... add the 10K for the seven levels that I made, and I made 78K in T2 over 7 levels.... coming out to about 9.7K per level. Seriously, I don't get these T2 players who are all "Oh no, I can't make a profit!"... If they work together, they won't even need the recipe profit as well- I made like... 2.5K per level on the later levels. That's the equivalent of FSC, but I made it faster, and the materials were worth more.

The way it works- 5 Players collude.

1.Players 1-4 fight the jelly king to blow time.
1.Player 5 fights through T2 with 1 random player. At the hub w/ basil, he maxes out on 3* (or 5*) recipes.

2. Players 1-4 should finish Jelly King at about the same time as Player 5 gets to the terminal. They now join him.
2. One of these players obviously won't fit in the party; this player starts a new party. He fights to the terminal.

3. Players 1-5 (minus the guy who is now doing what 5 did at the start) now fight through as many arenas, jelly levels, and other profitable content in stratum 4 or 6.
3. Player X (who is on a recipe run) runs to basil while the others profit.

4. See step 2. Rotate players.

Its not that hard... what is hard is finding people who will actually go with it... Sometimes it won't work due to a lack of arenas, but for the most part it all checks out. The levels that take prevalence are-

Arenas
The jelly farm
Scarlet fortress/Beast
Clockwork tunnels (danger rooms are nice)

These are the only names you even need to know... make sure you're going through as many of them as possible, and you'll be fine. Even if the odd player who has to fight with randoms to a terminal never gets any good recipes to double up on, she'll still at least break even and then some with materials.

TL;DR- T2 players are ignorant and don't know how to cooperate. T3 players aren't much better... but they've got other ways towards making revenue, like FSC.

I'm ignorant and find myself incapable of fully understanding your logic. What is the purpose of the 5th random knight? This process is simply to try and keep large teams in fourth/sixth stratums as much as possible while smaller teams travel to the terminals to serve as transportation anchors?

@Windsickle: Really? Kilowatt Pulsar recipes can go for 15k if you're lucky, although I normally just flog them for half that to get them moving. Lightning Caps are fairly popular, too. But yeah, most of the other recipes don't sell all that well any more. The fifth guy (recipe hunter) is so that the whole process can continue smoothly, without the other four guys needing to start from scratch.

@Fehzor: I find myself doing t2 recipe runs more and more frequently these days. It's mainly because I can't be bothered to do a full clear down to t3 but still want to make some cr. And then I get bombed with people who turn up at the terminal for 5 seconds before leaving the party again. I am the fifth guy. It is me.

Both to CE price rants and to the system that both forces players to do these things (that they are obviously unable to derive on their own or follow through with) to make crowns. CE price rants are to some extent valid, the complaint that T2 players cannot make enough crowns to advance, or even to play continuously, however, is not.

Went on a run. Died once. Party leader soloed a bit and then kicked me without reviving. So I quit In The Jelly.

No, being given a piece of the vend price does not compare to getting a free piece of 5* gear, especially when the person giving out the gear just cut into your party.

Whenever I'm offered to take "a fraction of the vend price" I turn it down. Burning bridges is not always a bad thing.

So I logged in to do some dark harvest whatnot... got 2 boxes in like 15 minutes. Also joined "Deadly Nightshade", which is Bella-Donna's guild. They seem alright, much smaller than In The Jelly.

Played a ton of dark harvest... I've got a pretty epic system of people inviting me constantly.. I'll probably hunt for rooms and invite people for a bit on Saturday, but until then I'm going to mooch.

Anyways, I made 1,600 CE and 160K Cr, as well as a ton of random Halloween junk after opening like... 15? 20? I don't know how many boxes. It was niiiccceeeeeee. But I still want a ghostly aura and wings. So I'm going to keep at it until then. And I want 2 auras. One to use in the far future, one to sell in the far future. Extra wings and bomb hats etc. would be nice too, for gifts etc. whenever the time comes. I'm loving this Halloween nonsense though. Drdrj was all "Oh, I play for fun, not for profit" and I was all "Pfft, I don't even bother choosing." Good times. And then Soral was totally like "Orange is fugly and I hate everything" and I was like yeah well I like golden-orange+black, its a good colour scheme and I like what are essentially free costume items because free stuff is amazing and even then the ghost aura is what I'm really going for.

So ya, that's what happened.

Though to be honest, the armor that I'm really wanting from the shadow lairs is the angelic-robot-esque thing. Specifically one with a fire high/max uv on it. That would be lovely.

Then I joined In The Jelly again. I think I'm just going to join whomever invites me last. That sounds nice. Its not like "I'm leaving ITJ! I hate them all!" I don't hate anyone.... although I do dislike certain entities from time to time <69.

Anyways, no wings. Or auras. Or anything, and I've opened quite a few boxes. Not as many as some people, but then I've got a life... and over a hundred confettis. Yeah.

Opened another box to finally get my very own... draped armor.

Then I did some dailies. I did all of them. Except LoA. I did half of that with this one dude, then I got bored of SK and when I get bored of SK I just kind of die. So we wiped without my support, and I left. And then I read some more.

Been a while since I've updated this... either I haven't had time, or I just didn't feel like it. Wonderful. So anyways, I had a nice few runs the other day with ITJ... I want to stay with them for a while, or at least until after the guild-hall update.

I also finished making my ironmight plate shield. More good times at the crafting vending machine. And no one ever makes any good UV'd angelic, chroma, or drake items. Its almost as if those being 3* scares people off. Imagine that... anyway, they should get 2* versions of themselves. Another thing that the game is bad at. Telling players their options and directing them to things, the missions system addressed that a good bit, but didn't ever really dump them into the arcade... and instead made them dependent on itself. IDK. If Lord-Hood is reading this, he should talk about that on his thing. Wait no, I already suggested that, and I think that he did. IDK, I always feel like I know more about what they're talking about than they do... its almost as if I put too much time into researching things and reading these forums.

On that note, I do spend too much time on the forums. Its probably like unhealthy or something. But whatever. I enjoy writing articles for people to piss all over.

Sorry I haven't been posting much, lots of IRL stuff. So anyways Sir Didymus DID send me a hat with the poison low on it. So thank you to him. He is my favorite. For a while. And I heated some stuff, got one piece of 4* demo that I'm making, got the wyvern scale helm and now I've got a 4* jelly hat that I'm making into the ice cream clown next I go to a shadow lair... Last night I logged on for the guild halls, which were very interesting as an update. The idea of expanding a guild hall was favored by myself for a few reasons-
-To go with the "Control the world" idea presented in the about tab above.
-To allow for guilds to strive for something via teamwork.
-To make guildhalls do something
-To replace Haven as the "hang out place" in favor of an all guild one, forcing cooperation

I was a bit disappointed when most of the features cost a ton of crowns that I couldn't afford to lose, although altogether it was a very nice update. The moving things around was well done, albeit the "guild training hall" should have this feature as well (provided that it doesn't, I only saw EoS's guild hall training thing)

What was really interesting about it though, is what will likely come of it.... Right now, several guilds appear to have "bitten off more than they can chew" with regards to how much their upkeep is. Financial situations could be huge in this way, and so I expect many guilds to fail to these types of things. I'm not talking about the EoS like guilds that can afford to have the largest guild hall of all time, I'm talking about the other ones that can't without taxing their members to oblivion. Essentially, this sounds a lot like whomever is able to absorb the most players growing into something monstrous with factions (as people cannot physically handle being part of a truly gargantuan society of 150+ without being factioned)... such a guild is likely to arise for a few reasons- namely the fact that small guilds should be more likely to die out now due to financial stress. Likewise, large guilds can use their guild hall as a beacon- you see this? You get in you can use it.

Of course, then there will always be players that just want to steal from the mist well. Since you can't make those only for member+, it is impossible to tell if someone is going to just join+go to guild hall+get energy and then say screw off as you kick them and their now full mist tank- it would be very nice to keep them at recruit for a while because of this... the mist thing does however, give a better reason for applications and that sort of thing. Only time will tell though, these are just my thoughts.

...so I hate to necrobump this like so, but one of my fans wanted to read more about my life rather than put up with my failed jokes. Albeit that I'm not entirely sure how that figures into dramatically pretending to leave the game, I'm glad to receive such kind input from my admirers.

Anyways, I haven't played too much lately because I'm been visiting famiry and opening presents and such, but now I am back and ready to continue being Fehzor. I went on some nice recipe runs yesterday, sold some polaris recipes, hit some arenas, made some money, all of that. Played around with the shard bombs some more, they work alright I guess... still liked the old mechanic better, but then that's what everyone says. Then I went and cried and ate ice cream and watched the notebook (I hope that's sad enough.) And then I got ready to do more crap for my life, and hung out with some people and got pumped at the prospect of snow being on the ground.

Except that this thread isn't important, and neither am I. People tend to dislike me, and people tend not to even read this, or otherwise comment on it. There are a few that have, but they are to my knowledge not in the majority.

But since you ask-

The other day I logged on and did some runs. Am running out of cr again so I sold some junk. Then I thought about the white chap that I saw someone put up on the AH and made a thread. I'm lined up to heat/craft a ton of stuff, and just need the resources for it (which will come as soon as I sell more stuff) so that's nice. Fought using chaos cloak+seerus's mask and used gun-fu... that is, I used the back side of the charge shot on my guns as my weapon. I killed slimes with my bear hands! Which is always hilarious.

Then I did some IRL crap and now I'm feeling rather depressed and thinking about killing myself again. Maybe if I get enough votes I will. But then, people always argue against suicide, which is all the more reason to disregard their ideas entirely. I'd probably be more excited to live if I did get votes, to be honest. I hate it when people try to comfort me.

So I farmed a couple tokens. I know I'm not the #1 token farmer by any stretch of the imagination, but this is ridiculous.

One hundred sixty seven tokens. Subtract eight. Divide by three. Thats right, I fought 53 kats in the wild. No books. And then I've got people who fought half, or a fourth, as many kats rubbing their fancy black kat hats in my face, some even with amazing UVs.

All in all I like the event, I just wish it would go on forever... Like, why is this limited? It isn't celebrating anything? Does OOO just want another holiday? What is the purpose of it lasting 2 weeks? I can understand the x-mas themes going away, but thats because its x-mas. It'd be like if OOO just up and said "The Lord Vanaduke Event Is Over!" and removed all of firestorm citadel until next year..... how does it make any sense? And collecting enough stuff to craft the hats is quite a challenge- and when Nick "fixes" the promotion to limit the books, no one will ever run+invite, they'll all just run and collect and leave, which means that I'll have to legitimately find all of the kats, rather than just join, kill, leave repeatedly. I'm all for legitimately finding them, but the time shortage means that if I want all of the kat hats I'll have to join, kill, leave... Bah.

On the bright side, the new kats are awesome and I love the way they move and they're mildly challenging and I really want them integrated more into the game, or made into a legit area rather than a goofy "celebrate the dev's ability to make moorcraft" event that lasts 2 weeks.

This weekend I'm going swing dancing at an event thing. That'll be awesome because swing is awesome.
