-1º - sorry if i made any english mistake -

In my experience in game, i've seen a lot of players (almost everyone) using wolver/gunslinger itens ( skolver, snarbolax, vog cub etc... ), because they offer decent defense like chroma, skelly, jelly, angelic and it offers bonus damage ( agaist everything ) the others sets i mentioned offer bonuses too but only in specific situations, thats okay, some players prefer gettin sets for specific situations, but the ones that wants to be balanced have to use wolver/gunslinger equips, in my opinion more sets for every situation would increase player sets diversity, making more uniques players, wich to me means more fun.

sets reducing charge time would be nice, maybe one reducing damage in trade for defense, sets that offers bonus in several situations instead of one ( like arcane salamander that offer bonus against beasts and slimes ), sets increasing atackspeed, charge reduction and damage ( all low, maybe one medium, maybe 2 medium, any way it dont get overpowered or underpowered) would make more balanced knights for every situations... and things like that..

also i was thinking about a new variant ( or even a bonus from sets ) that increase shields health.

Again. sorry for bad english, i hope it was understandable.

If English is not a fluent language for you I highly recommend using the forum closest to your natural language. If you are using a translator check with someone fluent in both English and your normal language to make sure it works.

Yes, there are clones. Those other armors are underused because Wolver and Gunslinger (SDemo is also up there, but there are very few bombers) reward use of a specific weapon type. Creating more situational armor like Chroma and Jelly will not make the already underpowered equipment any more appealing because they still have very little advantages in versatility and practical use when a player has to decide what to invest their time and money into.

Chaos armor gives +1 charge and +1 damage for all weapons per part. Mad Bomber and Volcanic Demo give bomb charge time reduction bonuses. Swiftstrike is a shield which gives +3 attack speed for all weapons. The Seerus masks give +2 gun charge time reduction each. These things exist.

Almost all shields of the same star rating have the same amount of health. Shields also already regenerate within seconds even if they were recently broken. A UV improving shield health would outsource the only advantage Omega Shell line has.

Still a good point. The only real difference between defensive armors and class-specific offensive armors is that the offensive bonus is traded for a status resist. A poor trade in most situations.

Actually, the first difference is offensive armor gives usable bonuses while defensive armor only helps if you get hit; even then, the difference has been tested to be so minuscule it may as well not exist between, say, Royal Jelly and Skolver. Both are 5*, but in defense RJelly is just Skolver with the normal and pierce resist in terms of defense against damage types. Then if you compare status resistances RJelly has stun and sleep, one of which is invalid until it gets rebalanced, while Skolver has freeze resistance and a significant offensive bonus at the same time.

I plan to do a bunch of defense reworking over there for anyone who cares. Just a few more minutes of Wakfu and I should be ready to start on it.

will someone teach me how to ret rid of subject lines

Shouldn't non-weapon specializing armors/defence specializing armors give more defense, as well as a status bonus? ATM there is no reason to pick the Cobalt or Jelly lines over Wolver, as they all have virtually the same defense and status bonuses' effects are negligible at best without max UV's, which you can get on anything anyways.

Defense is still useless if you can dodge all enemies and survive with a swiftstrike and proto armor.

Ok

"also i was thinking about a new variant ( or even a bonus from sets ) that increase shields health."

You mean adding more defense? Or adding more health to your knight? Because if you want to add health to the shield for the player to recieve, you might as well get trinkets

Shields do have a health bar.... But it'd have a similar if not way better (OP?) effect than plain defense increase.

Yeah, i know but i was thinking about more items to cover some weak points, for exemple chaos armor gives charge and damage but it also reduce all resistences, if a player using a faust wants to focus on charge atacks to apply curse, he would have weakness to curse, maybe mixing sets make it less risky but there would still some sharp weak points like lack of normal ( maybe piercing or elemental ) defense , i know a good player can avoid being hit but in time he will get hit and lack of defense could be more harmful.

also, ur post about balancing items is a great point too, didnt read all of it, but it seemed right, still, in my opinion more itens would make game funnier, different sets desings and bonuses are always good. :)
