How about, instead of banning hammers outright, we ask for three rings to disadvantage hammer users somehow? I.E by causing their swings to randomly light them on fire (snicker!) or for the dash attack to occasionally blow up the hammer in gremlin knocker-estique fashion, stunning and damaging the user?

You dont got any argument. You just want them to remove them. Therefore, no, It wont happen.

people paid good money for the expansion pack and the hammer, for many reasons, LD was one of them so you might get in a lot of trouble if they banned hammer PUNK KID

I agree that hammers are somewhat OP than some other weapons in lockdown (like the cutter series) , but that doesn't mean it is too cheap of a weapon to use. Some hammer users have no skill at all, just spamming them and leaving their behinds right open for attack. There is no weapon that is "cheap" only weapons that are "annoying." It depends on how skilled the user of the weapon is. An Arc Razor or a Shockburst Brandish can be just as "OP" as a hammer if they are used correctly.

If we must ban hammers from Lockdown then we might as well ban all weapons, because all weapons have their disadvantages and advantages.

I'm now going back to what Laraso said. How could you possibly spam a hammer if you can't do anything but swing it?. Seriously, there's no spam when it comes to Spiral Knights. By the looks of it, people just act like spam means using a weapon and... what's wrong with using a weapon? Lots of people that complain about spam use weapons, so they're hypocrites because they don't have a legitimate reason to say that they spammed and if spam means doing a combo repeatedly then that means hitting is technically spamming because we have the same repeated combos, it's just one combo and you can't change it to another.

So, quit [firetruck]ing complaining about spam!
