I believe everyone that uses a Divine Avenger or Gran Faust has already noticed this, but I couldn't find any official reports on this.
I found another topic of someone also complaining about this here. It is from August 2012 and the issue is still there.

When the knight has his back close to a wall, ready do release the sword's charge, the magic swords it creates simply blow in front of him without doing any damage. Also, it doesn't push back monsters as it should.

I don't know if this is a requirement for both of the charges to work (have an empty space at the back), but in my opinion, and of some people as well, this seems like a glitch.

Does anyone else in here have information on the acknowledgement of this issue?

I'm pretty sure it's not intended, it is just a fault in the programming, that causes these "projectiles" to explode when at a "Set distance" or less away from the walls.

Bug Reports

@Juances.
Isn't this forum supposed to serve this purpose?

I thought that a moderator would pick the problems and direct it to the Q&A Team at Three Rings. Since the Spiral Knights website doesn't seem to have an area to open a support ticket, I thought this was our best option.

How would you mail the correct team at Three Rings?

Yeah, this bug has been reported several times. I think that it was purposefully done though- to prevent players from wallhacking in FSC to do everything.

The problem is that the

The problem is that the "release" point of the projectiles is much further back than it should be.
