double post, i apologize
The Clockwork Renegades RP Revived Than Closed.
((Sorry for the long absence. Got a little caught up in my birthday (which is today), and had trouble posting. But now that I'm here, I can do what I need to do.
@'Hokuu' Your app was AWESOME!!!!!! I'm extremely, hate-myself-for-this sorry I can't accept your app. If you have read the rules a little harder, you would see your error. Please study them until you find your error, correct it (yes, I would like you to put a little downfall into your character to counter balance all those weapons) and I will accept you.
@'Vinnydime' I already accepted Vin. Enjoy your NPC!))
Takun
"Thank you for joining us, little Kleptolisk. Opea, is it? We will be glad to have you on the Clockwork Renegades." Takun replied. Then Colin slimed his way up to Takun.
"Having trouble with communication, are you? I'm not sure if a slime like you can learn sign-language, seeing that it requires hands, but I will do my best. I can't believe this problem hasn't occurred before. Hmm, try going to that tent over there," He said, pointing off towards a tent, "That's where [Insert name of NPC slime here] lives. She/he might have a solution."
((This will be were you can make an NPC. If you don't really want one, never have it pop up ever again.))
Whatsit
Whatsit sighs at the devilite's question.
"How many times do I have to answer that question? I'm Sky Bushtrimmer, but everybody calls me Whatsit because of all the questions I ask. I'm here by accident. I used to live in Haven, but I got curious about the elevator. I mistakenly hit the elevator with the razors on my wings, it broke, fell down into the Clockworks with me on it, then landed in such a way the made an explosion, and launched me to here. I have no way to get back, so Takun let me join the Clockwork Renegades, I think." He turned and shouted towards Takun, "May I join the Clockwork Renegades?" The stranger was too busy with the slime to notice him, though. Whatsit turned his attention back to Frosty.
"Hmm. I'll take that as a yes."
((Everyone seems to be ignoring Thor. He keeps asking questions, but nobody answers him.
Happy Birthday Ebil-Bunny!))
Fixed my error, plz tell me if im accepted.
Btw, if i am accepted, may i start RP'ing at the point where she runs away from Seerus (read bio)?
Well, happy birthday, and consider my app an entertaining present for you. Plz accepts
Just so its easier to find, imma repost (so u dont have to go back n forth between pages) my app. Sry if u find that annoying... XD
NamE: Kaleth
GendeR: female
AgE: (just felt like adding it) 19
RacE: Gremlin (she is half Ghostmane, half Mender)
PersonalitY: kind and loving, used to be known by her fellow Ghostmanes as "The Nice Murderer" since she killed, just like them, but always did it quickly and painlessly, unlike her demented coworkers, who taunted their prey with their invisibility and ruthlessness.
AppearancE: the same as any Gremlin, only her fur is grey and she wears a black assassin's cloak bestowed upon her by Seerus himself (it looks a bit like Connor's outfit in AC3). Her robe is midnight black with fiery red designs down the sides and a small crest on the chest part, identifying her as one of the feared Ghostmane Stalkers. She also has a gauntlet on her arm that can expand into a Lionheart Honor Guard, a gift she got from a kind and dying Knight she stumbled upon in the woods. She has a small burn scar on her paws from when she was little and tried to play with Seerus' hammer. Her eyes are azure blue with flecks of green in them.
EquipmenT: a special War Cloak given to her by Seerus, which, in addition to being light and flexible, is incredibly tough and was built to withstand the power of a Darkclaw Thwacker's hammer. The cloak also enhances the power of her melee weapons, like a wolver coat. It also has the bonus attack and moving speed of the vog and quicksilver armor, along with a slight degree of shadow defense. Her main weapon is a specialized Acheron modified by Seerus, given the code name of "Thanatos" after Hades' lieutenant of death. It is slightly deadlier than even the horrid Gran Faust, and its charge attack produces an effect that is a mix between the Acheron and Retri charges: the sword is swung, creating a wave of black shadow energy, but where that wave ends, a blast not unlike the retri occurs; 3 small black shadow balls circle around the area for 2 seconds, then disappear, returning to Thanatos. Other than this deadly blade, Kaleth wields two twin tomahawks, which are slightly weaker than a Thwacker's hammer, but are as fast as a Cutter's strikes. Of course, she can throw these axes, which are dipped in Yellow Chromalisk poison, a toxin that momentarily stuns the foe. Kaleth also has a belt filled with 10 small throwing knives, which are also dipped in the same stunning substance. When using Thanatos, Kaleth usually wields it in one hand, gripping a tomahawk or throwing knife in the other. She occasionally uses a black longbow which can fire poisoned arrows that can cause status effects (it changes depending on the poison used, but it is never deadly). This combination of shadow, stun, surprise, range, and quick strikes was originally created to be a counter to the Knight's versatility, but it is also useful against other foes.
SkillS: has the same skills of any Ghostmane; impeccable accuracy when throwing objects (when she was a child, she used to be the team captain of a lil demon league team for kindergartener devilites), lots of stamina, strength slightly higher than that of a Thwacker, a residue of Mender skills, and the Ghostmanes' signature stealth ability: invisibility. She is an experienced hunter and is also efficient with a longbow. Like any other Gremlin, Kaleth is weak to shadow (her cloak can only protect her from it so much), but ironically makes a habit of lurking in the shadows, stalking her enemies, just as a Ghostmane should. She also has one other weakness: a fear, not vulnerability to, just an extremely mornid fear of fire, which dates back to when she accidentally burned herself playing with Seerus' hammer. Although she is resistent to elementals, as all Gremlins are, the mere sight of a fire-based weapon causes her to flinch in fear. Her paws, burnt from the Hammer, are her weakest spot: an Achilles' heel of sorts. Even if someone were to hit her palm casually, like for a hard high five, it will cause her extreme pain, thereby providing another defense against her vicious fighting prowess
BiO: a Ghostmane stalker who was once part of Seerus' vanguard, but went rogue to join the Renegades. She was a good child; she kept her grades up, attended the prestigious Razwog's Academy (although the old Razwog was something of a pervert, sometimes trying to peek down her uniform), and helped around the house. When she came back from school one day, she found her parents (her father an honorable ex-Ghostmane, her mother a gentle Mender) dead, poisoned by Seerus. She was sent to an orphanage at Emberlight, once even meeting the jolly Impostoclaus himself (long story). Soon, Seerus came by the orphanage "completely by accident" and adopted the young Gremlin. He trained her as his most prized pupil, and made her part of his regiment, the legendary Ghostmanes. Years later, at the age of 17, she went out into the Snarbolax's lair and encountered one of her friends from the orphanage, a gremlin who had joined the Renegades. He explained to her what was going on above the Clockworks (along with some other things), and when she inquired Seerus about this, the wicked Gremlin nodded sagely. Remembering that her friend said that Seerus, her own adoptive father, couldn't be trusted, she asked him a question that would scar her for life: what really happened to her parents? Kaleth recalled that the poison used on her parents made their bodies bloated and deformed- the deadliest of the secret Chromalisk poisons: Corodisk (portmanteau of Chromalisk and corosion) toxin. Kaleth also knew that only Seerus himself had access to this mysterious poison, and had drawn a horrible conclusion: Seerus was the murderer of her loving guardians. Seerus, hearing this, laughed- not as if he was being falsely accused, more as if he was amused that Kaleth had not known this sooner. Horrified, the young Ghostmane fled from Seerus and his dreadful factory, going to the surface of Cradle in search of the Renegades that her friend had joined, knowing only that she needed to get away from Seerus.
AdditionaL factS: has a craving for jelly and in her spare time can be found having a nice talk with the Jelly King. Often, she will begin to nibble on one of the mini jellies without even knowing its alive. Ironically, she has a pet mini jelly named Shlerp, but she doesn't try to consume him. She also has two young Devilite friends, Nyra and Lyra, who always follow her and occasionally play with her tomahawks, accidentally scaring all the Snipes away.
(Sorry my bio's a bit long, i got too absorbed in it)
So... Does it still need to be nerfed? I added TWO extra weaknesses to balance her deadly skills.... Give meh ur opinion.
Caught my error, sry didnt see it in the rules.
Btw, i was thinking of making this character's story into a fanfic.... Whaddya think?
((^ Yes please.))
A lone Knight woke on a dirty mat, panting from an ephemeral nightmare. He had imagined thousands of dead bodies piled onto one another, all of them burnt into bloody ashes. Ever since he had forcibly removed himself from the medication The Order had prescribed him, his nightmares amplified into hallucinations. He knew this fear would become real if he didn't stop the Order from opening the Core, if he didn't warn the indigenous. Yet he knew that the Gremlins would be too stubborn, the Mewkats too suspicious, the Almirians too prideful to retreat. Had the other Knights gained an understanding as he had, the Order would have been suggesting for a diplomatic solution. Nay, the Order had been birthed from blood, raised by blood, and would be continued to be tempered by blood. There would be no forgiving, no forgetting. Nay again, the Order had been built to maim, obliterate, and capture. He knew there would be future settlers who would emaciate Cradle, and then turn the once-harmonious planet into another Isoria. He alone was to try and prevent such an event, and all diplomacy had been cast aside. No longer a member of the Order, the Knight had one and only one objective: neutralize his former faction. It was an impossible task, yet there was no alternative. His opinions had been drowned out by a slurry of ridicules and offenses, his ears boxed by the words of "...doing the necessary." In the same words of a writer long ago, "...a man must use the law as his weapon; the beast must be of cunning and force."
The Knight activated his HUD, now dyed red as an indicator of "unauthorized and corrupt use of the Order's equipment." The news window automatically covered his whole field of vision, revealing an article that publicized a group dubbed "The Renegades". In it, the article described the members in detail, commending the group for their effort. The Knight was speechless. If they knew the repercussions of their effort, they surely would have known to stop. He slammed his fist into the brick floor in rage, and then abruptly calmed himself. "...the fox must be cunning, so that he may see the trap..." he recited to himself, and then re-adjusted his composure. He rolled the mat and stored it into his satchel, and held his gaze towards the Orphanage of Emberlight. He had hidden in the town for only a week, and had only just gotten used to his surroundings. His upcoming battle would most likely put him in detainment, or even death. He had already conversed with Kozma and Brinks to document and archive his message, so that his word would be passed on to future Isorians. ((Remember that the Order actually originates from Isora.)) He adjusted his glasses and walked into the elevator. With some hesitation, he lightly taps the "UP" button, ready to observe the much-speculated Renegades.
((The quotes about man and beast [both fox and lion] comes from "The Prince" by Machiavelli, an Italian writer from the Renaissance.))
((I'm sorry, but apparently our characters haven't officially met yet. So, I can't do anything about it.
If I'm not mistaken, Ka'in should be the one replying :3))
"My name is Broal" he answers Thor question."Also, can i beat up this layofer?" Broal asked Thor.
Averting his attention from Whatsit, Jack Frost growled and turned to the direction of the voice. "It seems that I have to put you back to the ground..." Jack Frost growled and pulled his nightblade, pointing the radiating purple edge towards the zombie who's name seems to be Broal. Jack Frost grinned and twirled his blade, "I don't even care who you are, but you're getting what you want." Jack Frost landed his blade on the ground which created few small purple-colored explosions.
"Consider a quick death as your salvation you rotting freak."
((Im still waiting for an answer from Takun :P))
Soul
Instead of waiting for Takun's answer, Soul turned to look at the devilite.
He sneaked up next to the fiend and whispered into its ear, "Listen, we both hate that idiot zombie. What's say we team up and get rid of him?"
Soul looked towards the zombie and let out a toothy grin. He turned to look back at the devilite, or Frosty, as it had said its name was.
Before Colin could answer Takun's question, he heard the mischievous discussion among the Layoafer and the phantom. Aren't they supposed to be a team?
be it a joke or not, Colin quickly stepped forward in front of them and blocked them from ever taking a step towards the living skeleton. The ice jelly cube shook its body vigorously like how one might shake his head.
"Guys shut up or i blow up your head off!" Broal shouts and point his gun at Soul and Jack Frost. "Hey stranger, can you protect me from those hypocrite phantom and layofer? Please protect me from these madness!" Broal asked stranger." Oh mighty lumber, tell them that i'am joking ASAP."Broal whispers to the lumber. Instead of idling, he goes to the terminal."Wait a second, why there's a clone of Basil? There must be a spy somewhere in here. Broal suspicious about Basil."And Kozma seems have some kind message. Although it seems it has nothing to do with spying." Broal not sure about Kozma. He goes to the haven. In Haven, he saw a knight who have been knocked out by a droul. "Hey droul, i heard that you are a member of the clockworks renegade, my advice? Get a sidearm because it's too dangerous to go alone with only one gun, also a shadowsun sash will make you even more deadly! Since you don't have crowns. I will give you a shadowsun sash and a callahan." The knight advice to Broal. After wearing the new sash and gun. He returns to the renegades base.
((I know you you're whispering but he's supicious to the fiend, sees a jelly blocking them, and he saw them whispering, and kudos to those who reads this kinda awful post ))
((You... My god, we were whispering, you didnt hear us! You are disobeying one of the rules by knowing we were!))
((This will be your very last warning from me. I have been observing throughout the post, and this isn't the first time this happened. Please be nice, and obey the rules before you. If you do not feel comfortable around here, do voice out. Don't take out your anger towards the rest of the players. Honestly, you did started by insulting Infernus-Dragneel's character. You owe him an apology.))
"I'am sorry fiend, i'am just kidding." Broal apologize to the fiend.
Jack Frost sighed and sheathed his blade, he turned to Soul who was standing right next to him, "Thanks.... but no thanks, I can handle him myself..." Jack Frost tried to smile to Soul despite the fact that he never had ever did such a thing.
Jack Frost slowly walked to Colin who he knew was trying to put a stop to the fight before, "Er... Colin is it? I.... could somehow understand what you meant by before, and I admire you...somehow for that. But that zombie know what's coming to him."
"Hmph..." Jack Frost grumbled as he turned to Broal, "I won't hesitate to.... kill you... next time...."
His stomach suddenly let out an empty grumble, he hadn't eaten anything in the past few days, being caught up by office work and looking to join the Clockworks Renegade he didn't have any time to eat. Devilites usually just ate something simple like cereal and toast that will be compact and handy around offices, but Jack Frost has taken the liking of eating 'real' foods. Jack Frost was able to cook up delicious foods but with the lack of ingredients it would be impossible.
Jack Frost quickly hid his face in embarrassment with his scarf, "D-d-does anyone have anything to eat?" his stomach let out another grumble of hunger for food, "W-well....I am very....hungry..." he spoke in embarrassment.
((Yeah, it's okay :) ))
((You read the rules, yes. You added weakness, I'm not sure, I couldn't find them. I believe the best way to fix your app is to, 1) Turn the Acheron into the nightblade (It would still be pretty powerful when used by a gremlin that can turn invisible) and 2) Change the cape so it wouldn't give armor, just speed and damage (You have to admit, it would still be powerful). And yes, you can start at the end of your backstory. That's what I did ;D
@Artistbma' Sorry I didn't post. I thought I already posted one to answer Soul, then I remembered I didn't have enough time, so I had to delete my progress.))
Takun
"Mend? No, I don't believe we have a gremlin named Mend." Takun said, thinking hard, "There was a Mend the Silkwing, but it died in a battle a while ago."
Whatsit
"No, I don't have any food, either. I'm hungry, too! Do you think Takun has some snipenip? ((Sure, they don't exist, but neither do snipes that get hungry. I decided it would be a type of grain that snipes eat.))" Whatsit looked around.
"It doesn't look like it grows here! I'm gonna starve!" He cried in agony.
((I'm planning a mission to Emberlight. No, Hokuu, not because you'll be there. I had this planned for a while. Just be patient, and a mission will come!))
"Hey stranger, can you give me some food? Because i'am hungry !" He asked Takun. "Oh, i almost forgot your question! Droul means poisonous zombie and brains are tasty and health." He answer the almost forgotten question.
Thor's brain gears worked too slowly for all this chaos. The last thing anyone said to him was for the Droul to say that it was joking. After relaying that message, Thor heard Whatsit asking about food. He went over to the group of Renegades, and told them that there was some lovely (fake) sunshine, sweet water, and good dirt for them to refresh themselves with. The treasure vault was a paradise for trees and other growing plants. Unfortunately, being part machine, he also required infrequent oiling, or his parts would run down.
((Again, sorry for the short posts. There isn't much occurring right now.))
K thnx for the advice, ill edits it.
Btw, since in most stories, a character progressively gets stronger, can the edited Nightblade turn into the edited Acheron (Thanatos) once the characters' strengths begin to improve? (Ill still leave the cloak as only speed and dmg, but i'll just start it as medium bonus for the first version, which she would have when she escapes, high bonus for the 4* version, i guess itll get upgraded once she learns to craft, and very high for the 5* form.
Oh, and if you didnt spot the weaknesses, ill point em out for you, along with some new ones:
Kaleth is still weak to shadow, slightly more so than most gremlins, (which the cape helps a bit with) she is extremely frightened by fire although she is resistent to it, and he paws are very weak since they were scorched by Seerus' hammer (hence the fear of flames).
I also came up with a few extra weaknesses, these times for the weapons: 1. Thanatos (the five star one) will be very effective against jellies and Gremlins, but is extremely nerfed against shadow-resistent enemies, only having the attack power of a Tempered Calibur. When against shadow-res monsters, the four star will only be as strong as a regular cali, and the three star would be rendered about as useful as a proto gun against vanaduke. For the armor, it has a slight weakness to stun, in addition to the no added defense (except for a very slight amount of shadow def). Her shield, the one in the Lionheart line (which would also progress accordingly with the other gear) has no weaknesses, but no added defenses, since its just an average shield.
I also came up with one slight armor change: instead of attack speed increase (at 5star) should it be melee dmg increase med and melee speed increase med? Curious about which is better.
((happy late birthday! sorry, had to go to sleep very early, so i didn't catch that.))
Happy with now having a place to stay, he went to the crowd to see what they were doing, but it was hectic and couldn't follow what was going on.
((sorry for the short post, not sure what else to write))
((Argh let's get a mission or something, Soul can't work in the same room as the Drool. ))
Ka'in sits by silently, watching the irritable Devilite exert his dominance over the majority of the group. She surmised that only the chit-chat bird would be able to rank above the fiend, and that an order of dominance would be established by the avian. No matter, she wouldn't officially be engraved into their ranks; they were too disorganized and bickery at the moment. If things settled down, however, she might help them more...
Out of the corner of her eye, she noticed a shadow inching away from her vision. She slowly pivoted her head to the left, and observed the figure's movements. It seemed that a pair of bright blue wolf-eyes were staring out from the bushes, almost perfectly concealed by the leaves and berries. Only one person she knew had such a perfect stealth skill, and that was her friend, Vin. Last she had heard, Vin had defected from the Knights, for some odd reason unknown to her. The gremlin waved at the silhouette, although no movement came from it. She threw a pebble at it, to which the bush normally shook. There was no shadow; her eyes were playing tricks on her. Or were they...?
The Knight panted as he hung on the side of the floating isle. He had almost been caught by one of his own acquantinces, a strong-bodied gremlin from Emberlight. What was she doing here? Surely, she had not joined the Renegades? The unbelievable was happening before his eyes; he thought that Ka'in would stay with the Great Colony. He had practically raised her to stay loyal to Tinkinzar's cause, despite his hate of the bastard engineer. It was for her own safety, so that she wouldn't end up like he was seeing now. Vin knocked his head against the hard stone, confused as to what to do. He couldn't hold back, but he couldn't be a coward. What to do...?
((You may now start playing :) But just saying, I don't believe you get more powerful, because the enemies don't.))
Takun
Takun answered Broal, saying, "Oh, you'll have to ask the cook. She's in that tent over there," Takun pointed to a tent across the Treasure Vault.
"But you are right. It is about dinner time."
Then Takun diverted his attention to his ear device.
"Yes, this is I... What? Are you sure?... I'm having a hard time believing that... Really? Well if you were any other spy, I might not have believed you... Yes, I believe that is the only answer... Over and out." He turned and whispered something to the Watchman. He ran over to the alarm station, and said into his microphone,
"Everyone go to the meeting area. This is urgent! I repeat, this is urgent!"
Whatsit
The snipe listened to the Watchman.
"A meeting? Urgent? Awesome!" he flew over to the elevator that he had arrived in.
"Maybe during the meeting I can yell "CRASH!", and pretend I had just arrived! Wahoo! This is going to be fun!"
Jack Frost slowly followed Whatsit to the elevator and sat on the corner of it, covering his ear with his long scarf and placing his nightblade next to him.
"I hope there won't be many people..." he gulped.
The Clockwork Renegades had hardly even get a nice little chat, and then there is an emergency meeting. Colin started to think that everything was happen too quickly, such that the members would not get the chance to build a solid teamwork spirit. Colin might be thinking too much, or the jelly cube is simply feeling uneasy under the warm sky.
Colin tagged along as the Layoafer tracked across the grassy plains, mumbling something about crowd control. Will they ever make good friends? Colin wondered. He started daydreaming about chilling out together with Frosty, literally. Colin imagined a snowball fight, then making snow angels all over the frosted ground.
Before the jelly cube could conjure up a vision of a winter wonderland, it felt itself touching a cold metal plating amidst the greenery; it was the elevator. Where it will lead to next, Colin will have to wait to find out.
((Umm... I don't think either of you know what elevator you got onto. Colin followed Frosty, who followed Whatsit onto the broken elevator that Whatsit crashed into the Treasure Vault with. :P ))
Thor was pleased that there were to be some interesting occurrences. As he started toward the middle of the clearing, as to get a better view, he wondered what kind of happenstance would create the need for another meeting so soon after the last one. Thor almost couldn't wait to find out.
Just as I walked in to the conversation, a meeting was called. I got slightly annoyed before remembering I didn't understand what was going on anyway. I saw Colin, That devilite, and Sky Bushtrimmer inspecting a broken elevator and Thor going to the middle of the field. I walked to the area that everyone else was walking to. ((random-not-actually-player-people))
Soul sighed and trudged over to the meeting Takun had called. He scratched his face and felt his forehead. He was burning up. Soul felt sickly and hurriedly looked for some shade. A spark flew off his hand.
He yelped and shouted, "Augh!"
"Where is Colin?" he thought to himself. "He could cool me down."
Soul pulled his hood closer around his face. He tried grabbing a few leaves and placing them on his hands, but they just fell off and fluttered to the ground. He slid his arms further back into his cloak and rushed to the meeting.
"So..." Jack Frost sighed as he inspected the control panel, "This ain't working?" he growled and kicked the cold metal floor of the elevator.
Jack Frost sighed and fisted the panels which sparked few blue electricity, "Is there any other elevators we can use?"
He turned to Colin who was right next to him, Jack Frost crouched down to it and grinned, "It's alright, well soon get out of this hot place...." he paused and continued, "If only I know where to go..."
Turning his head to Whatsit, Jack Frost felt uneasy to ask but Whatsit might know where to go next, so he decided to follow wherever the snipe goes.
Sorry, double post :<
((Apparently we're all confused here xD
Ebil-Bunny, you may need to specify the meeting location for us to make further actions.))
((The meeting is taking place between the tents and the only working elevator (The others were removed to keep as many enemies and spiralians out as possible). If you red my backstory, Whatsit went flying across the Clockworks on a different elevator and smashed into the Renegades hideout while they were having a meeting. I just got up, so I'll wait a bit before posting what happens at the meeting.))
Since Broal doesn't have a idea about the meeting, he just followed Takun. "Can you talk fast? Because i think meeting is as boring as guarding towns." He whispers to Takun.
((Sorry for short post.))
After a bit of walking around, it seems I had gotten there in the first 15 or something like that, I didn't count. I found a seat near a tree and sat down waiting for everyone else.
Soul saw Opae sitting down near a tree and strode over to him. He sat down next to the Kleptolisk. It was a perfect spot, cool and shady; good for Soul. The phantom scratched his head and turned it towards Opae.
"You ready for this meeting?" he asked. "For the Renegades?"
Soul tried to read Opae's facial expression, but it did not compute. So instead, he waited for an answer.
Takun
Takun turned and faced Broal, saying "I am sorry, but if I talk fast, then very few will understand me,"
then he turned and faced the Renegades from on top of the pulpit thingy. "Fellow Renegades, I have grave news! One of our spies from Crimson Order has contacted me and said that Warmaster Seerus is planing an attack on Emberlight! Even though the gremlins from Emberlight are not officially part of the Clockwork Renegades, they are indeed friends, and they need our help! I am going to have three teams! Team 1 is going to stay here and defend the Treasure Vault, Team 2 will help hold the battle front with the warriors from Emberlight, and Team 3 will help the gremlins from Emberlight that can't fight get to safety! I will let you choose what team you want to be on, but if there is not enough on one team, too many on another team, or if I don't think you would work well in that team, then I might end up moving you!"
Suddenly, there was a CRASH! sound from near by. Takun looked towards it with an annoyed look on his face and saw Whatsit, Frosty, and Colin on the broken elevator that interrupted the last meeting. He called over to Whatsit and the snipe flew guiltily up to Takun. Takun whispered to Whatsit, who then flew sadly back to the elevator. Takun turned back to the rest of the Clockwork Renegades.
"I have assigned the job of recording who wants to do what to some devilites. After everyone is finished, I will examine the lists, then move you to a different job if you don't meet the requirements! Emergency meeting adjourned!"
Then some boss devilites walked away from the rest of the Renegades and unfolded some tables, got out some pencils and pare, then looked importantly at the creatures coming.
Whatsit
"CRASH!" Whatsit yelled mostly through the meeting, and then snickered at all the startled faces of the Clockwork Renegades. Takun looked at him for a bit then called to him. He flew guiltily up to Takun who whispered to him.
"The longer this meeting is, the more gremlin children and woman and all kinds of gremlins will die. Do you have a grudge against them? No? Then why are you doing this to them?" Whatsit sadly replied, "I'm sorry. I didn't know. I'll try to pay attention more intensely."
After saying this, he turned and flew back to the elevator.
Soul let a devilish grin slip. He walked up to the devilites and boldly stated, "I'd like to be on Team 2, thank you."
He pulled his Gran Faust from his belt and began to swing it in the air. Swing, Slash, Stab it went. The 370 year-old phantom threw the cursed sword into the air and caught it in one hand. He looked towards the devilites and flashed a charming smile.
"I think I'm capable," he chuckled.
Thor decided that he would like to be on Team 3. He felt a little sorry for all of the tiny gremlins that were forced out of their home just because of the selfish wishes of others. He tramped over to the Devilites, and signed up. As he was doing this, he thought about the chattybird, and wondered why it had chosen to disrupt the meeting. After signing, Thor approached the Snipe, and asked, "Why you yelp? You needed help?"
I was about to tell soul that I was, but then the meeting started. from that i heard that emberlight was being attacked by gremlins, and then soul went and signed up for team 2. Thinking a bit, I decided that I wouldn't be very good at the offensive or defensive, so i went up to the devilights and signed up for team 3. After that, I decided to prepare, and remembered my sack was ripped up, and most of my food was just barely hanging on, so I went and asked Takun where I could find another bag.
((My first RP post... Hope i dont mess anything up. (I apologize for the length of this post)
Btw, art. I'm Kaiju.... :3))
Kaleth sprinted through the dense underbrush, trying to evade her attackers. It had been three weeks since she'd run away from the Crimson Order, and an exhausting three weeks at that. She had had to stop multiple times in multiple hostile places, (including the Snarbolax's lair, a fire-based arena, and worst of all -which is saying something, considering her fear of fire- a room in Moorcraft Manor itself) yet she was still stooped from exhaustion while her assailants were as vicious as ever. Kaleth had been with the Ghostmanes for years, yet she couldn't figure out how they were so energized. Most likely some serum that Seerus cooked up, she thought. As she pondered this, she absentmindedly caught a throwing knife in the air and examined it quickly. It was larger and soaked in more poison, but the black eye engraved in the blade of the knife identified it as belonging to one of her ex-allies, a Stalker named Rauloz. Reaching out with her senses, she found a target and flung the knife at it. The squeal was too high to be that of any Ghostmane... Except for the newest -and the nicest- recruit, a boy named Niel. Sorry kiddo, was all the girl had to say for her fallen pal. She shook her head and kept running.
Kaleth continued dashing through the brush, trying to hide in the darkest branches and leaves. Somehow, she knew the other Ghostmanes would still find her there. She knew them and they knew her far too well from their experiences together. Kaleth silently laughed at this irony, this ability for both of them to anticipate each other's every move, and was punished for her ignorance when two tomahawk blades whizzed past her. As she ran past them, she ripped them out of the ground and hastily placed them in a black backpack she had gotten at Moorcraft (courtesy of the "What dark ritual?" Kat). No one, not even Seerus himself, could have enough weapons to be safe in these depths. Kaleth saw a bright light and started rushing towards it. She soon she burst into a clearing, where she spotted an elevator about 100 meters away. Half a second later, the other Ghostmanes emerged from the blackness of the forest. There were five of them, all part of Ghostmane squadron 9, otherwise known as the Red Claws.Traditionally, a Gremlin squad was composed of six members, but Kaleth remembered with a start that she had just killed Niel. She'd just killed another Gremlin. Shaking her head, she diverted her attention to the members of the squad.
There was the knife specialist Rauloz, the archer Katniss (hey, she didn't pick her name), the Polaris addict Gino, Deconstructor enthusiast Dino (Gino's twin), and the silent Hidashi, the melee expert of the team and an old sparring partner of Kaleth's. He wielded two twin tomahawks, but he only had one now as a result of hurling one at Kaleth. Kaleth knew all of these Ghostmanes' weaknesses, but they also knew hers. They knew her paws were weak, that she was morbidly afraid of fire. It would seem that neither side had an advantage. Except for the fact that Kaleth was outnumbered five to one. So she did the natural thing. She ran for her Core-damned life. She sped over to the elevator, sprinting as fast as her legs would allow, and then some (thanks to the speed enhancing of her cloak). Halfway to the elevator, she felt a stabbing pain in her leg: she had just taken an arrow to the knee. Kaleth flinched, but she was a Ghostmane. Pain did not faze her as much as it would a Mender or a Demo, but it still sent a searing feeling through her whole body. She slammed into the elevator and dug through her backpack, desperately trying to find the jar of Crystal Energy that she had obtained (albeit somewhat bloodily) from a not-so-friendly Knight. Gremlins did not have the Energy-harvesting armor of Knights, so they had to make do with limited CE reserves. Kaleth hurriedly shoved the piece of crystal energy into the "payments here" slot of the elevator and pressed the close button. The debiliated device creaked and clanked, slowly coming to life. The gears whizzed, powered by the power of Energy. Hearing a whiz, Kaleth instinctively held her backpack up, and just in time, too. Hidashi's last tomahawk had just buried itself into her backpack. Kaleth shoved the elevator doors closed just as a volley Katniss' arrows came raining down. The elevator glowed with Energy and produced a blue forcefield around itself. Well... That's certainly knew, Kaleth thought. Slowly taking in the severity of her arrow injury, she slid to the floor and examined the wound. She broke off another chunk of Energy and used it to buy some medicine for her wound. Her eyes also wandered to a button that said "press here for Diet Mountain Jelly". Jellies were quite delicious to Kaleth, and she remembered with a chuckle how, when she was younger, she would rebel and refuse to fight for Seerus if she didn't receive at least a gallon of Jelly juice every month. Kaleth shrugged. What's a little more money spent? She inserted the energy into the slot and received a small cup and the medicine she needed. As Kaleth healed her wounds and sipped from the cup, she examined the small letter she had received from an old Crimson Order gremlin, supposedly a secret associate of the Clockworks Renegades that she hoped to find. She was told that the Renegades would be meeting at a Treasure Vault and was determined to search all of them if that was what it took to find them. Unfortunately, Kaleth had only one Vault left to investigate, and if the 'Gades weren't there, all hope of finding them was lost. Pushing this thought out of her head, she continued reading the letter and chuckled at the words, "Beware the Snipe" then deposited all of her items back into her backpack. She then proceeded to take a nap, her body finally getting well-deserved rest.
Hers was a well-deserved rest, but who said Kaleth would get to enjoy a SUFFICIENT, full rest? Indeed, after about 30 minutes, she awoke to the incessant yellings of "Crash!" and growled. Slowly gathering her belongings, she exited the elevator, spotting a group of tents and Monsters: a makeshift base. She examined the area; it was the only Treasure Vault left, so it had to be the one she was looking for.
Kaleth took a deep breath, waited for a few minutes until she saw the other Monsters walking over to some Pit Bosses, and finally walked over to meet the Clockworks Renegades.
((So how was that? Good? Bad? Despicable? Plz give me advice))
((There, fixed the OOC and time errors, im thinking that three weeks should be enough time...)
((Epic, but remember the double parentheses when talking outside of story :D ))
((That was a pretty good first post, but remember that you should double paren when saying something out of character. also, one plot hole, the snipe JUST joined, so the letter had to be pretty recent, but all in all very good.Edit: oh, and nice references.))
((Lol, diet mountain jelly! I snickered at that. >:D Nice work, by the way. It was just as good as your app! I would yell at you for the mistakes, but beside the OOC mistake, I couldn't find any! :O ))
Whatsit
The mission ahead lifted Whatsit's spirits, and he rushed over to the nearest pit boss. He quickly dodged around the creatures in line, and rushed to the front.
"Team 2, all the way!" He shouted, but then Takun pulled the snipe out of line.
"We do not need you to mess up and kill some of our team," he said, not completely serious, "You are going on Team 3. You may practice fighting when the war is not so dire." He chuckled and told the devilite to sign Whatsit up for Team 3 as Whatsit grumbled about not having any fun.
((Arsh yoush shupposhed to waitsh two regular poshtsh or two in charactrsh poshtsh beforsh you postsh againsh? [are u supposed to wait two in character posts or two normal posts before posting your next bit?] also as a side note, since Soul has a Gran faust, can Kaleth's sword be a 4*weapon? Just 4*, since it already has all those bonuses.))
((Also, thnx for the praise, *takes a second to Tebow* but you should see some of my first attempts at writing. Only a year ago, my skills were quite horrific, indeed, they were truly horrendous. I had lots of plot holes and my adjectives, although fine for some writers, were not as sophisticated as the ones i use in my stories now. I progressed a lot... :3))
Oh btw... I'm decent (not awesome, just decent) at drawing, mayhaps i could do some arts for our characters?
If I fill an app for my character or one of mine from my fanfic, if they are denied then I just leave. Simple, Vinny. Thought I already said 'excluded' O.o
EDIT: Sorry I didn't clarify I am talkin to Vin
