Hello everyone, the papaya here ^^
I'm pretty sure everyone has played Lockdown at least once...........I'm pretty sure everyone has used (or seen someone else use) a bomb in Lockdown at least once? Remember those big red circles marking the AoE sign for the bombs when they are about to go off? Those papaya annoying big red circles that are shouting "get out of here, cause a bomb is gonna go off in X seconds". I'm not sure about you guys, but I don't think those are fair on us bombers.......

Why does OOO give players a warning about when a bomb is going to go off and what area it is gonna effect? You might as well be waving a big white flag shouting "DON'T GET NEAR ME, I AM PLACING BOMBS THAT MIGHT KILL YOU!!!".

Conclusion: Remove those blasted big red warning circles, either that, or add big white flags.

The flags should be the colour of the team, at least...

YES.

Removing the timers, at least, would be a huge step. Removing the radii altogether would be great; bombs could actually be handy as traps, especially bombs like Nitronome. We need a tactic other than "SKOLVER FLOURISH POLARIS HAMMER RAWR" and this would be it.

Whether this should apply to Gremlin Demos' bombs (and land mines in OCH) is unsure, but definitely wouldn't apply it to Mortafires, Roarmulus Missiles, and the like.

Would that apply to this? Also, can we have that? It's cool. So is this idea. +1.

Sure

Also have shard bomb shards bury underground so they can't be seen by the enemy.

SO MUCH YES. This will make

SO MUCH YES.

This will make bombs not TOTALLY USELESS. And you can still see the blast so it won't be OP for stuff like VT or graviton.

+1 from me. I can understand

+1 from me. I can understand the fuse being shown in PvE, but in PvP it makes it completely unfair for the bomber. This would punish sword users for not paying attention to where a bomb is, but possibly a way to see if a bomb's about to go off is give it a little shimmy. That way people aren't completely left in the dark if they happen to accidentally run into the blast without knowing WHEN it's going to go off.

Remind me to start shouting "DON'T GET NEAR ME, I HAVE BOMBS >:)" in Lockdown ^^

@Batabii
Exactly! ^^

@Zeddy

Honestly? I think even with invisible shards the bombs would still give underwhelming performance just from the small area they cover and low damage they inflict.

Note that the core blast would still be visible, so it's not like you wouldn't be able to figure out where the shards are anyway, it just makes it harder to do so.

while i did NEVER step into LD from my 2 years of SK, i agree that anything that helps your enemy in PvP is bad. specially when it makes it negate COMPLETELY the damage, they can even wait to put the shield up because they know exactly when its going to explode.

mmkay, so I *partially* support this thread. I'd like the hitbox illustration gone from the bombs, seeing as part of the game is learning to interpret attacks and their hitboxes. You don't see a bunch of lines displaying the path of polaris shots. However, removing the timers is unfair, and so is hiding the bombs altogether. No other weapon works like that. I'd propose just having a line spin around the bomb, like the hand on a clock. The bombs should emit team-colored glows in LD and the "hand" should be team-colored as well. Actually, I'd like to see the rendered hitboxes removed from PvE too, since they're so distracting.

Bombers need more bonuses so more people will become them, this isn't a big difference but meh.

I approve this thread, I maybe a swordsman striker myself I'm also a bomber. They should do this and make bombers more useful I hate being one of the only bombers in lockdown. Also giving bomber a shadow and piercing version of the demo set will be great also.

1+ and 1+ for blowing up skolvers strikers the way it supposed to be.

Sure +1 but to make sure no

Sure +1 but to make sure no one just spams bombs, bombs should make a quick flash before exploding or something, so you can actually have a chance to not be perpetually frozen.

BUMP

I support! I had this idea a while ago. The thing is, before a sword user swings, there isn't any warning at all that he'll swing. Why bombs?

Shards from shard bombs shouldn't be hidden. The bomb should always be visible, like normal. We're just saying that the radius indicator should go, right?

Back in my day when Johnny Cash was on the radio and baseball games were where families went for entertainment people wanted bombs without fuse warnings in Lockdown because bombs are traps and should not give the enemy any more warning than simply being on the floor completely visible; laying out the massive area of effect radius to be so obvious ruins the ruse of planting explosives in explosive preparation.

We also had jawbreakers the size of tennis balls. You could throw one of those suckers at a brick wall and there would be a dent. In the wall.

Sounds..

sounds good. I'm thinking there should be a number on top of it like the blast cube telling the opposite player when its gonna go off.

Best idea. FTW with count downs.

Let's have count downs on how many swings are left in combos and how many shots left before reloading, too! xD
