Can we have one? It would stop from people giving repetitive/bad suggestions and give an idea for what you guys are aiming for.

Example:

http://yppedia.puzzlepirates.com/The_Anti-list

EDIT: heck, you can even just make a locked thread and put posts that you liked or didnt like

Repeated threads is one of

Repeated threads is one of the main ways that the devs and people in general can tell that an idea is popular. If people keep suggesting the idea without knowing that it's been suggested before, that must mean it is needed in the game.

And putting up a list of what NOT to suggest will limit the playerbase's creativity as well as insult players who come up with those ideas. There's no need for any of this.

I am not sure if you read the examples or not, but the list and anti-list was created for things that the Devs said that they would or would not do. The player base would be limited in their suggestions, yes. But thats the point. People may REALLY want a suggestion. But if the developers say no, that "no" is only there for the life of the thread. Meaning that if there were developers active in this forum (there are not many really), they would have to repeat themselves over and over. The limits, as you cay, would be limiting idea that are not possible, or against the spirit of the game, or too complicated to code. There may be no need for a list or an anti-list, but it would improve the quality of the suggestions here.

The developers has been rather quiet regarding a number of forum suggestions. The result is circular threads that keep reiterating the same points without any finality to settle the debate.

A list and anti-list would be easy, the Wiki team could implement it quickly and then the link could be stickied at the top of the suggestion forum. There just needs to be some answers to link to before it would accomplish anything.

90% of the suggestions in the suggestions board are "REMOVE ENERGY FROM THE GAME". Hivemind stupidity is not uncommon.

This ain't elementary school. Being creative is not necessarily(or even remotely, in many cases) beneficial. And if players suggest bad things on a regular basis, reminding them that their suggestions are bad will encourage them to think future suggestions through a little better.

But they never made a final judgment about it.

For what it is worth, the

For what it is worth, the "list" and "anti-list" on Puzzle Pirates was player created, not OOO created. Neither list has been maintained very well, and a lot is based on very old comments from various ringers. Much more recently (a year ago?) one of the developers basically said that the "list" and "anti-list" have been anti-listed. They suffer from players taking vague comments, and reading much more into them than were ever there. There were off hand comments from OOO artist talking about programming, comments from GMs (OMs in YPP) talking about the art, etc. There have been several things that were on the "anti-list" that have been implemented anyway, and many many things on the "list" that seem unlikely to ever be implemented.

While us players *could* just create lists and anti-lists the way YPP players did, I don't think OOO would much like it.
