spiders
monster type : beast
heath : low
speed : very high
damage : medium~high

very heavy and fast enemy that run faster than the knights and so slow attacks but deal big damages

attacks
throw web (stun player on hits + do dmgs , if miss , land on the ground and stuns only people walking on it) (range 5~8 blocks)
scratch (hit a player with one of the front legs "attack anticipation like lumbers")(range 1~3) blocks
bite(deal heavy damage and inflict poison)(range1~2 blocks)

movements, dashing avoiding gunfires like develites , they also jumps in the air (above camera view) and land near a knight if he somehow managed to escape too far from the spider

Erm, I don't think "Spiders" fit in beasts.

What's the new family name? What kind of versions? Sure, this can be added, but we need details. Otherwise, no. We can just add spiders for an extra creep in candles keep

when did i ever talked of candlestick .. i see them more in forest themed level .. we need more of gloaming grimwoods style levels whitout bein an exact copy of snarby level style since boss levels have to be unique

Spyders?

This has been suggested many times. They aren't bad ideas, you just have to make them better. Spyders can also be put in the fiend family. I agree with Benightz that this Spyder family should have original name. Maybe make a set of levels that show off these enemies. Also, do these spyders have status variants? It would be nice.
Good work here, just add some details

thx for the addition , well i was just bored of always encountering undead or constructs , beast dont have enough all place monsters ... they dont have enough monsters in general ... ill work on some stats and original concepts and name then write them down later as edit as main post

This thread reminds me of something I was supposed to type up somewhere because I used to write my ideas in a notebook which I thought I lost but then I found it again a while ago but never bothered to finish because of how complicated only a third of the boss battle was since it forced players to be competent gamers or fail miserably which would be a very unlikely addition to the game since almost everything is absurdly easy aside from the occasional cyclops bats and white collar hellspawn and this sentence is getting silly long so I am going to stop it right now.

Now sing for our entertainment.

Your "spider" version looks like greaver to me

If we go on spider tangent let me extrapolate and give my awesome detailed suggestions, took only 30 minutes to write it down so... ENJOY IT!

***WALL OF AWESOME TEXT INCOMING***

Mini-spider (spiderlings)

Health: Very low (1 charged 5* brandish = dead w/o UV, w/o trinket and with same dmg type as spiderlings defense)
Attack: Med-Low
Type of Attack/Defense: Shadow + whatever elemental type you get
Movement Speed: a little faster than wolver, slower than moving mewkat or jumping devilish

Sort of attack:
Bite : Kinda like mewkat but moving 1 block instead of 2-4 so only an uncoming bite (would look like a zombol jumping too) (range 1~2) blocks (main attack)
Mount: (jumps on you and "immobilize you") resulting in you mashing the attack button to "free" yourself (range 2~4) blocks, time vary by how much spiderlings you have on yourself. Can "last" up to 10 seconds with 5 spiderlings and 20 button mash (4 per spiderlings) to free yourself (maybe 5-6? per spiderlings) (would use this whenever a spider is behind you, maybe put a charge before the jump so you can see and dodge it)
Explode (blows up after 1.5 seconds charge), spiderlings explode into a 4 block diameter round elemental status effect that deals no initial dmg that last 3-4 seconds and inflict only Weak/Medium elemental status(rare close attack)

Medium size spider (Spyders)

Health: Med-Low (2-4 charged 5* brandish, depending on elementals dmg, UV and trinket)
Attack: Med
Type of Attack/Defense: Shadow (main) + whatever elemental type you get (fire/ice/poison/stun/elec) (like devilish, wolver, zombol, etc.)
Movement Speed: Medium, little faster than zombol, somewhat like wolvers

Sort of attacks:
Web (stun player on hits , land on the ground and stuns only people walking on it) (range 2~6 blocks, covers 3 block diameter space for 2 seconds) (main range attack)
Scratch (hit a player with two of his front legs, like a single charged swing from devilish )(range 1~2) blocks (main attack)
Bite (deal medium damage and inflict elemental damage)(range1~2 blocks) (mid-range attack) (like spiderlings mechanics too)

Spider Queen

Health: High - Very High (6-7 charged 5* brandish, maximum of 9 depending on elemental dmg, UV and trinket)
Attack: High
Type of Attack/Defense: Shadow (main) + whatever elemental type you get
Movement Speed: Slow, A little faster than Trees, somewhat like Zombols. During recon movement speed is 3-4 times faster (kinda like recon gremlins in OCH)

Sort of attacks:
Spawning Spiderlings: (of course, spawn 2 or 3 spiderlings, shooting them 2 to 5 blocks away, cooldown of 8 seconds) (main range attack)
Bite: (only used when in close range, deals HIGH normal flat dmg, no elemental dmg added but it triggers a 2 and half block diameter elemental effect status that last 1-2 seconds)
Recon: Becomes invisible when below 15% HP (which means you might kill it before it even happens) and start spawning spiderling faster (4 seconds cooldown for spiderlings, become visible for 3 seconds when it spawns some) + Spider Queen start regenerating at a rate of 1% Full HP per 2 seconds for a Maximum of 10% HP per 20 seconds. Doesn't stop if Spider Queen is below 15% Full HP. Spider Queen will flee until she stop Reconing
Web (stun player on hits + do dmgs , if miss , land on the ground and stuns only people walking on it) (range 2~6 blocks, covers 3 block diameter space for 3 seconds) (2nd range attack)

I think those would look awesome in the game, with some proper testing it could really add a "humph" to the game and get "spider cave" theme/promotion/costume/accessories

I think OOO should do something with Spiders for next Halloween ;)

i was trying to put a new

i was trying to put a new beat enemy even tho spider would be more of a fiend type .. they already have enough monsters for themself ... beast only have chroma and wolvers, and i would have no problem seeing a spirer doing piercing damage with sharp fangs and claws

for mini spider
Mount: sombies doed that and they dont even do damage when doing this ... it seem liek they tried to remove it or something and some part of it still in the code

and nothing to say about the normal sized spiders

for the spider queen,
the bite ... piercing poison damage would be more symbolic to its style

as for recon ... chroma already have the ability to cloack

and as for spawnign smaller spiers , i woudl rather see smaller spider spawn with the big one like a wolver and the big one bein a tank like silkwing and lumber combo like we always see than endless spawning mini spider

and even tho spiders can be beast in a dark environement like gloaming grimwood whitout bein shadow

I gave you full detail on attacks, dmg type and everything

for mount: Zombie still does that...

When I think about Spider I think about dark/shadow and not beast... they are not insect, they are arachnids... but you could dump it in the beast family "because they need one". Jelly could use something new too...

Yeah we could switch Spider Queen for piercing but spiders are iconic for their swarming, having 1-2 tankish spider doesn't make sense to me, having a spider queen that can swarm you however feels more accurate for me, we don't have much "spawners", we just got the Black Kat that can spawns other zombies and that's about it...

I'm not talking about chroma recon but gremlins recon, totally invisible... like in OCH or the Stalker in Winterfest...

Edit: Beast have Chroma, greaver, wolver and healers... they aren't so bad

Let me post my idea of

Let me post my idea of spiders:

Spyders (Beast Family)
Health: Low
Movement Speed: High
Damage: Medium
Attack speed: High

Attacks:
Bite: Basic attack.
Web: A ranged attack that has 5 tiles distance and has a small chance to fully cover knights with webs, which must be destroyed by the trapped knight's attacks.
Inject: A slow but strong attack that makes the spyder stabs knight using it's feet, also has 100% chance to cause status.

Behavior:
*All it's attack deals weak damage, but they come in groups and try to flank knights.
*It can track you.
*They try to dodge attacks occasionally by jumping, which is a little bit faster than wolver's dash.
