sorry for bumping, but I really think that this thread will be useful. if used propely (i.e.: with some more guys telling something) it would prevent a part of the noob spam. ergo, I declare this topic to be not a poll anymore. post bosses. I am really too busy (and lazy) to search and link all of them. also, I would find the crappy ones. so, I beg for your help. thank you (obviously, the thanks is active only for the ones who post. to others, tanks.)
ok, I know you have seen tons of topics on this. this is different. I am not going to give you another idea. I'm simply asking you to choose a boss that you remember, and say: this is the best boss idea imo(not active anymore, bt you can tell). if you would please get a link on the topic in which the idea is, you will give a lot of help. now, some questions: (optional)
1 why do you think that the boss idea you have chosen is better than the others? (of the many, many, many...< repeat for a century > many others)
2 should it have tokens? if so, what they should be?
3 do you have any suggestions/ better ideas than your chosen boss creator?
4 do you really want a new boss? (answer only if it's no) why?
fiend boss:
Aureate: devilite CEO. no link aquired.
gremlin boss:
other boss:
Luguriu wasn't actually sure about placing. undead? fiend?
no boss:
please, do it for the noobs. I am willing to bump this thread once in a while (like, right now). think of this as an investiment. (did this beg before the one above.)
thread bumps for editing the first post: 4
This thread makes me want to set up an index for the index in my thread. I am going to do that before posting this.
Anyway, bosses. I have things to say about them. Since most of those things involve violence, drugs, or nudity I have to be briefs.
Boss fights in classic games are unique and highlight experiences. With normal enemies you usually start with simple maps and traps and plane wing flaps then when you get used to a kind of enemy they throw you in some weird setups where the world is new and difficult even if the enemies are the same, but since the environment is different the enemies can seem more difficult because of new and old colliding. What am I talking about? Bosses, right. So they have some weird things you have to do before a boss fight to teach you how to beat the boss because mindlessly smashing it is not supposed to work. You have to throw a bomb in its mouth. You have to hit a sweet spot. You have to press some buttons in a specific order. You have to push something on its noggin. Normal enemies usually scale up from the starting enemies. For example, imagine if the T1 Trojan could be attacked from its shield side but it takes only 50% damage from the front, in T2 it works as it does right now, and in T3 if you attack it from the front it can immediately dash. Moral of the story, do not stand in front of Trojans. You had T1 to see something abnormal, T2 to confirm it, and T3 to test if you were paying attention. Getting off topic again. You can probably tell by now I would rather discuss what makes bosses interesting to fight but everyone knows people only care about the payouts and token rewards in this game.
