Make them individual/personalized or give us different wells ---->categories

-maybe make them limited per basis?

-maybe categorized different pools? 1 holds this amount and the other holds a different pool amount

The current mist wells is a reason not to trust anyone because people have abused them in the past

The point of wells is sharing.

Maybe different categories: wells for mebers, wells for veterans. But no individual wells. Besides big guilds would have problems placing 50+ wells and you'd have to bug the GM to buy one for you.

As for abuses now, you can buy a members gate and be more carefull on who you promote.

They should put a cap on how

They should put a cap on how much you can withdraw per day. If an arbitrary member wants to take more then that amount( let's call it X amount of mist), he can indicate it by sending a request to the guild-master or officer, if they accept then the arbitrary member can withdraw X amount of mist.

*whistle*

I do agree with Juances though, I put the Mist Well retrieval limits in my post prior to doors being created. It is much easier now, and perhaps unnecessary, to impose retrieval limits when you can just put a door there.

Also, some trustworthy GMs/Officers checking the Guild Log to see which people are abusing the Well is also an option. My guild has a Veteran Door (I think it's Vet, might be member) as well as people keeping track of the Mist Well Log, it works fine.
