Well iv'e been playing a while and collected some nice costumes along the way and i'd like to use them in lockdown, with costumes in lockdown one wouldn't really gain any advantage only a cooler looking appearance. This is especially for people who like to use armor sets from different types of sets which together look repulsive but offer some great bonuses and protection.

I think this has been suggested before, and also it would be confusing like crazy.
For example:

Knight 1: "Ooh, look at that 'Knight 2' using a magic cloak, I'm going to stab my toothpick into him!"

Knight 2: "Hah, look at that supid 'Knight 2', he's trying to toothpick me when I'm using a wolver coat!"

It would essentially give you an unfair advantage in LD to be able to fool somebody into challenging you.
And I don't think anybody else really wants this. The second word in your post is an 'I' word. You're basically
stating that you want to use your costumes a lot, and that's why they should be enabled in LD.

Reply.

Well in any case i have used 2* armor types in ld and still played fine so one should never underestimate anyone's ability to play and treat all other teammates as very hostile and fight them accordingly.

Ugh

Sr-Fists, you are assuming that because you do well in LD, everybody else can? PAH! I've talked to the people in my guild and on my friend list about it several times, and LD is absolutely the most laggy thing you can play on a computer. This basically means a lot of people can't be good, and throwing in costumes will only make things more difficult.

Has been discussed, many solutions raised, it is not practical.

Common sense.

So if you see a 2* Wolver with a final flourish wouldn't it occur to you that that person might have decent armor?

so really it's not a bad idea but it gives ld a new look in the way knights can play.

Give in to the power of the Dark Side. Stop resisting. You're trying to make it seem like your suggestion is unique an legit. Even if you see the FF, you have NO IDEA WHAT ARMOR THEY ARE REALLY USING. You won't know if your weapon will be effective against them or not!

Solution!

After reading these threads it seems like the only solution is to have a costume feature where the person can choose to see the costume or not by a simple click in the video setting.

This way Bomber's can see the Statuses they're up against

And gunner's / swordsmen can still look fashionable to each other if they ever wished so.

Now you're coming up with real solutiojs :D!
However, you've been making them in abrupt posts.
I suggest we let this thread die and you start a newer, neater one.

Then won't everyone just leave costumes toggled off?

If costumes are default on for new players, won't that causea LOT of confusion?

But as you can see some players dont mind seeing costumes and want to be able to at least on their screens look nice and fashionable.

When people are aiming to win, I don't think they really care what other people look like.

Costumes are for strutting around in haven in and entering into contests, not wearing in PvP.
