As I was walking along the gravel-filled path, I noticed a chittering sound near the bushes a few metres to the right of me. Then the Greavers came. They charged at the bushes, almost as if there was a person there. But I already knew that. The person in the bushes shot some of the greaves with his Cyrotech Alchemer, but more kept coming, and swooped down to scratch him as he picked up his rusted wrench. He got rid of three other Greavers, and so let his guard down(literally). He was scratched by the Greaver on his left arm, leaving it lacerated. He fell to the ground just as a force-field materialized around him, electrocuting Greavers that bumped onto the force-field. Gwen drew her rapier from her sheath, and in a display of amazing swordsmanship, took down several Greavers within a few seconds, before she sheathed back her rapier again. Gwen knelt beside the stranger, and healed him, as if by magic. She spoke to him for a few seconds, before I decided to eavesdrop on their conversation using forbidden telepathy. "You know who I am, but not by name or face, for you take orders from me." was what I heard in Anubis's mind, and instantly I knew it was Gwen who sent it. "But magic is supposed to only be for the Chosen,"I thought. "I sense no Chosen aura from her. How is it that she can wield magic? Or perhaps it's not magic. Or maybe.... she's an incarnate. Of what?" I started to walk towards them, while turning invisible.

"My name's Anubis, Ma'am,"the stranger replied. He was dumb-founded at what Gwen could do; heck, I was dumb-founded at what Gwen could do. Anubis went on an asking streak."Why are you here?" Before Gwen had a chance to even mutter a word back to Anubis, Kyrto bumped in on the conversation. "Kill it! We have no use for it." Gwen materialized a force-field that protected them both, almost instinctively. Axis piped up. "Well, if there are others following us, we can use this one as bait." Kyrto thought about it for a moment, before returning to his own, melancholy state. "Fine, but if it it escapes, I want it shot down immediately." Gwen was obviously surprised that someone would say something like that, and shouted back. "Why is it okay to destroy a life simply because it is useless to you!? Why can you not simply let it go free?" Kyrto seemed hesitant to answer, but looked at her with the creepiest of stares, before arguing back. "Because it will go get its buddies and return in greater force." Gwen scoffed. "He would have had no reason to do so had you left him alone in the first place!" Kyrto slapped her across the cheek, and she was knocked onto the metallic wall. "Have you no sense, woman? These monsters attacked us on sight! We left them alone, and we were rewarded with death! Now get on your feet and move your lazy arse before I whip it." The other soldiers laughed their heads off, while Gwen turned red for a moment. Khazaim tried to help her up, but she got up on her own and pushed him away. As they were walking away, I turned visible again and walked behind the group. We found the elevator, and pressed the down-button.

"We're here."I spoke, before walking off the elevator onto a hard, metallic ground. The air smelled of morning coffee, and lured most knights into the pit boss's lair, where they got killed. The Morai soldiers, one by one, got out of the elevator slowly, and I turned to face them before speaking. "Here's what to expect. Devilites. They throw things at you. They're purple. If you kill the Pit Boss, but don't kill the Devilites, the devilites turn into overtime-devilites, where they're much faster, stronger, and their accuracy is parallel to that of a master bowma-I mean, gunman. But watch out for other types of devilites. Especially the shock ones." With that, I started walking along the pathway, gesturing for them to follow me.

We soon found an office, and I took several glances at what we were to expect. Devilites; Pit Bosses; the usual. Kyrto stepped up. "Let me go in first, boy,"he commanded, before laughing for a moment, and pushing me aside. I decided to treat him the way he treated others. In a burst of my normal speed, I appeared next to Kyrto in a milisecond, before I kicked him into the air. I jumped up and landed a chest strike on him just as we were about to land on the ground, leaving a huge crater with Kyrto in it. "And I didn't even use my abilities yet,"I snickered, before noticing that the others heard me. Kyrto was badly bruised, and Gwen rushed over to heal him. "Why.... would you heal me?"Kyrto asked, in pain. "Because I'm not like you. I treat all beings with respect. That's something you should learn from me."Gwen replied, while healing his wounds. A few seconds later, Kyrto was fully healed, but had trouble standing up. I sighed as I walked into the office.

"Bullseye," I said, after killing off the last devilite with my chaos bow, its head impaled with an arrow made from solid darkness. I unsummoned my bow, and looked behind me. As it turned out, the whole Morai army watched me destroy all the inhabitants of the office in a few seconds. I pulled out my calibur and spoke to them. "Yeah. This calibur is so sharp. It can like, but devilites in half." The others stared at me in disbelief; I had demonstrated abnormal abilities, and I was a capable fighter. Anubis, however, was fixing himself a gun. I pointed to Anubis just as I turned invisible.

Anubis took this moment to start dismantling office equipment. He didn't know why Jason pointed at him, or why this woman down the hall looked like a reverse Gwen, but he did know he needed to get out of here.

EQUINOX

The walk through the Wolver Den was...unsettling. Not that the creatures were vicious. But that was the scary part. There WERE no monsters. Nothing. I understand that the monsters wouldn't usually come out after an attack but...this was wrong. I lead ths group forward, and Ensar is at the elevator as we walk in the empty clearing. I turn, thinking I saw something in the corner of my eye, something black. But then it was gone.

We get on the elevator, and it falls down into the cold hell of the Devilites. I walk calmy through the level, following the tracks. "Hold on guys." I stop, holding out my hand to stop them. "I will confront the girl, you guys hang back just for a moment." with confirmation they would, I walk down the tunnel.

They Morai have stopped, and appear to be making camp for the night with some insta-tents that were in their supply packs. I see Gwen on the other side of the clearing near a big tent and a cage. This should be relatively easy. I drop to the snow, my Snipes on my back. Umbra's eyes glow red, and I feelna strange feeling of a blanket dropping over me. I know I'm invisible as I walk across the clearing. Lumino stays cloaked as well on my right shoulder.

I walk up behind Gwen. Hello, Gwen. I'm here. We're planning on helping you, but for now we will be on the borderlines of this troupe, waiting for an opportunity. I just wanted you to know.

I walk over to some unopened insta-tent packs behind the big tent. I haul them in my arms, them disappearing under the cloaking ability, and run off across the clearing,

I run back to the group, my cloaking long gone. I drop the packs on the ground. "Time to set up our camp. No fires though, lest we broadcast our location."

Let me know what I am fighting for

Something fell from the sky, or to be precise something from the sky fell into Haven and into the Clockworks and somehow landed in Emberlight. I was surprised myself to see someone surviving that kind of fall, "Ow... Can't I ever land correctly once?" the person spoke before he fell unconscious. I took a good look at him and noticed something unusual. "Wings?" I thought to myself as I approached the person cautiously, it doesn't look fake at all and it seems to function, perhaps that was how he was able to survive the fall?

"Oh my Vog....maybe they aren't all extinct..." Equinox spoke as he approached the man, "Got a Vitakit? He took a hard fall." he turned to Lt.Yuna who quickly handed him the first aid. I watched quietly as the Stranger treated the wounds of the man, "To be frank, I'm not sure how someone rewired this elevator's travel path at all. They'd need at least some help." he answered Yuna and carried the man over his shoulder. A somehow born leader, an-all-talk-no-action, wiseful and strong, perhaps I could look up to him in some way... "Let's go." Equinox spoke and all of us stepped in the elevator, entering into something that might risk our lives.

As I placed my boot on the placid grass, I could almost hear the distant rings of gunshots, either I am imagining things or that someoneidles is here besides us. The Bread Thief had quickly disappeared into the woods, her agility and the way she acts has so much resemblance to a wild animal, much like a Wolver to be precise. Equinox gestured us to advance deeper into the woods, suddenly three Wolvers instantly attacked us, nothing to be afraid of. I silently observed the Stranger as he brandished his blade, but something made him not to do so. "What is he doing?" I pondered while watching Equinox dispatching the Wolvers without killing them, I knew that he could easily kill them but why? Why would he spare them?

As we delved deeper into the Wolver Den, more of its inhabitant attacked us. It was easy cutting them in half with my blade but it wasn't easy for a specific someone, Equinox had received some minor injuries and planned not to retaliate at all. Instead he decided to knock them out and also choking them until they're out-cold, it was amusing at first but it rather got annoying for me and perhaps for the others. Why wouldn't he kill them?

"We're near Morai," the Stranger spoke as he pointed a track of footprints on the ground,"None of those shoe prints match any of the stuff senior Strangers sell, nor any. They have to be Morai.". So we're finally close to the root of this whole problem, the invaders who took many casualities, the invaders who took our freedom, the invaders who changed our lives. After entering deeper into the woods, I noticed that something odd was happening, and perhaps I might not be the only one thinking about the same thing. There WERE no monsters. Did something scare them? Whatever it might be I believed that we were lucky not to cross paths with... Whatever scared them.

As we finally made our way towards the next elevator, I could see The Bread Thief already standing in front of the elevator waiting for us, she was practically unscratched at all. As we walked towards the elevator, I could swore that The Bread Thief herself was eyeing my blade in anger.I checked it for a moment to see the clean surface of it covered in the blood of Wolvers, perhaps she is fond with those beasts? I shook the thought away as we entered the elevator, descending into the Nilfheim of the Devilites.

We made our way deeper into the tunnels but Equinox stopped us from song so. "Hold on guys." he stopped, extending his arm in gesture to stop us. "I will confront the girl, you guys hang back just for a moment." he spoke shortly and with our approval he continued to venture deeper into the tunnels. "I guess we should wait here then," I spoke softly to the rest of the group, what amused me the most is the fact that we all have the same level of equipment but different level of skills, much of a coincidence?

After waiting for a while, Equinox finally mad ehis way back to us. He was carrying few packs of insta-tents that he may acquired somewhere nearby, did it belong to those Invaders? If so, he is either foolish or brave to inflirate the enemy's camp. "Time to set up our camp. No fires though, lest we broadcast our location." the Stranger spoke as he started to set up the insta-tents, I watched him for a moment and quickly asked him a question I had longed waited for. "Equinox," I cleared my throat and paused. "I wanted to know answers."

EQUINOX

I nod, being happy that she would accept slumber. I turn to Chriss, "Answers? Well then," I sit down, motioning for him to sit down as well. He complies, a little reluctantly. "Well then, I'll tell you all about myself. When I was born, my mother didn't want me. She left me in the care of the Orphanage, but when I was 10, they kicked me out. I lived in an alley for a long time. Now, the reason the Strangers didn't want me was because I am a witch." I see the panic in her eyes and hold outmy hands. "Wait wait! Hear me out! I never chose to be a witch. For a long time, I didn't understand. I asked myself, 'What's so wrong about me? Why was I chosen like this?' and often I would lay down in the corner of myalley, crying. I ate food from the dumpsters whenever I could. And then, these guys came." I gesture to either Snipe on my shoulder. "They are the reason I am still alive. One night, there was a great, tall, dark figure, who had come into my alley. He said to me, 'Oh son, you are better than this. Better than them! Take Lumino and Umbra, and remember who you are.' and then he was gone. Simply gone. I awoke the next morning with a knife in front of my face and a man holding me down. But when I was about to die, the man burst into flames! A white Snipe, Lumino, she had simply clawed the man, and he had ignited! The one holding the knife dropped it, and started running, but a black Snipe, Umbra, was instantly in front of his face, and he was instantly Cursed so strongly, every step he took hurt him a litte more, until he knocked out at half a pip of health. The emergency crew had to help the two to the hospital, but before they did, I took these." I bring out my two Strikers. "The weapons of my attackers. These Snipes helped me out of my depression. I still lived on a thread of life until the Isorans came, but it was alright when I had these two to guide me. We eventually found an Owlite Keep together, and I learned how to exert my magic better."

I smile at him. "Well, now you know about me..."

I was beginning to regain my conscience. I had regained enough to be able open my eyes and move a little. As I opened my eyes, rubbing my head, I realized I was next to a few people. "Huh? Where.. Where am I?". Fortunately I recognized the people to be knights, rather than Morai. I looked around to get a better look of the situation.

((@thin, could I add some powers to Arch? Not like, call down a star to destroy the earth spell, but something like healing and maybe something else?))

"[Screw] this..." I growled as our group trekked to the elevator. No monsters, no enemies, nope. Not even a little trap. [Screw]. It. All. I sighed as we finally reached the elevator and descended into a Devilite Lair. Perhaps there would be more... Exercise there.

I plopped myself on the ground, letting loose a huge yawn. It was sunset, and I spotted the last fleeting rays of sunshine, then one of the Isorans came over, hauling a large pack on his back. Dropping the bag on the ground, he said, "Time to set up our camp. No fires though, lest we broadcast our location." I nodded my head; this guy had some idea of what to do, so perhaps I could let him lead for now. The Knight named Chrisstopher broke the silence, "I want answers." As the other Isoran began recalling his past, I kept my eyes on a series of black specks in the sky, moving unnaturally fast for specks. Suddenly, a series of earsplitting streaks broke the peaceful silence of the night as a group of Fallen Valkyries dove from the sky, prepared to kill anything in their path. I smirked "That's more like it." Drawing my Flameberge, I patiently waited as one of the demons divebombed towards me, then sidestepped at the last moment and plunged my blade into her skull. Twisting the sword, I watched with a grim smile as its head fell to the floor. Chrisstopher looked at me in awe; apparently, he had heard the urban myths about my battle prowess, but he didn't expect me to be able to defeat a Valkyrie so quickly, if at all. I let out a chuckle and elbowed a Fallen Valkyrie as it snuck up on me. I spun around and grabbed him by the throat, snapping his neck. Still, in seconds Chris and I were surrounded by Valkyries. Finally, a real challenge.

"Allow me to correct what I said earlier...." I smirked, "[Heck] yeah!"

Black wings surrounded the area. The fallen were taking flight, taking their only cooperating guide with them. Axis unholstered the destroyer for one, they weren't taking their only hope of making it to an elevator back up, secondly no one, threatened him, EVER. Three shots echoed, three valkyries dropped, their wings turning a poisonous green. "You're not going ANYWHERE!" Axis shouted in rage.

"Never underestimate the human potential!"

"Well, now you know about me..." Equinox finally finished explaining his life story which bored me to death, "I wanted answers, not your-" I paused and noticed something unusual. I looked up in the sky and saw small black specks, it was still small but slowly it became bigger and bigger until... "Look out!" I screamed as I dodged an incoming attack from the sky, our small camp had became a battlefield in a matter of seconds. "This really had became a real apocalypse with angels and demons joining the crew..." I cleared my throat and brandished my Tempered Calibur, "But I won't back down..." I continued and entered an offensive stance.

One of the Fallen Valkyrie noticed me and made a mind shrilling roar, I returned to my casual stance and beckoned the Valkyrie. She quickly darted towards me with her blade ready to kill, I raised my shield to endure the powerful blow from the demon, resulting myself to be pushed few steps back. Luckily I hadn't raised my shield and I found myself to be locked down by a series of attacks from the Valkyrie, "Dammit!" I gritted my teeth and sent a strong blow using my shield which knocked the Valkyrie back. Without wasting this opportunity, I raised my blade and brought it down at the Valkyrie who endured the strike using his exposed arm. "W-what?" I gasped as the Valkyrie used my sword to bring herself right towards me, the next thing I knew was that her hand was already strangling my neck. "Was I done for?" I thought to myself as I tried to release the Valkyrie's powerful grip.

My body had shifted quickly as the Valkyrie decided to find another prey to kill, she took of to the skies along with me still on her grip. The Valkyrie then dive bombed towards Lt.Yuna, "N-no!" I managed to scream while hoping that her life could still be spared. But I was wrong, I saw Lt.Yuna quickly dispatched the Valkyrie using her Flameberge to twist the Valkyrie's skull. I fell to the ground and gasped for air, "She killed that Valkyrie with ease..." I thought to myself as I looked at her in awe. I have seen her in actions many time but I had never seen such incredible thing, Lt.Yuna had just killed killed that Valkyrie with ease!

Another Valkyrie sneaked up at Yuna, I was about to warn her but she chuckled and snapped the poor Valkyrie's neck in seconds. I stood up and covered her back with mines, both of our blade still raised and ready to fight, in seconds we had both been surrounded by Valkyries. "Gods, angels, demons." I spoke and observed the fiery eyes of the Valkyries, "Never underestimate the human potential!"

"Allow me to correct what I said earlier...." Lt.Yuna smirked, "F*** yeah!"

This is war.

Teyailain looked up to the high ceiling to see a swarm of valkyries, all angry enough to kill thirty-three of Dagoon in a row.
(I'm just using Dagoon as a placeholder. I think.)
Teyailain then let out a sadistic laugh as a scythe slowly materialized from the air.
"It's been a long time, Liminori. Shall we begin the dance of death?" There was an obvious moment of surprise when they all could hear a voice very clearly reply, but nobody seemed to know where the voice was coming from. "We shall indeed, begin the dance once more."

Bio:Liminori used to be a medic in one of the many wars of cradle, but once she had met Teyailain, she knew she had found a partner.
Her father forbid her to meet him after someone had let out that he had been doing missions for the Crimson Order.
Soon after, she was assassinated, and after Teyailain and Liminori's father had made agreements, Her soul was put into a weapon.
(Alright, there may be some confusion because of how I work as a weapon. Every person who is killed with this weapon is used to raise the star level, but like above requires one more kill for every star gained.)

I put my glasses on. As my eyes readjusted from my blurred vision I saw... Valkyries attacking people! I scavenged my backpack for a weapon, and in it I found a tempered calibur and ran towards a Valkyrie. My blade blocked her strike from above, and I tried to counter with a jab to her leg. She flew upwards and dive bombed towards me with her ice brandish. I attempted to sidestep it but she nicked my shoulder. She attempted to dive bomb again, but I dodged and grabbed her foot, pulling her down. Now that we were on even ground, I tried to hit her with a slash from the right. I nicked her hand, and she flinched. We both slashed, and our blades met. She pushed harder and knocked me to the ground. I brought my blade up to block her onslaught of slices. Eventually she got close enough for me to kick her feet, knocking her down as well. I got up while she was getting up and took initiative. I hit her with the flat of my blade. "Gods, angels, demon, don't underestimate the power of humans!". I heard someone say. By angels I assumed he meant the last real one alive, me. I ignored it, and attempted to charge another. The fight is on!

The Valkyries took Gwen away, but Knights were attacking them. I looked at one Valkyrie, and noticed an M sign on its back.

M for maestro... no.... M for maleficent.... no.... M for messenger... YES!

"Guys! They're just messengers!"I shouted, though no one seemed to listen to me, presumably because they though they were actually easily defeating Valkyries. Looking at the ruins the level was in, a Fallen Valkyrie ran towards me as it looked back a few times just to make sure it was safe. "Arbiter! Why do you not help us? Can you not see that we are just humble messengers, carrying out a simple order that was given to us? ARBITER!!!!"it cried. "I will save you and some of the other Valkyries, messenger; but it will be at a cost. You must not lay your hands on Gwenyvier."

WARNING: POWERPLAY ALERT POWERPLAY ALERT

Just then, an angel ran towards the Valkyrie, the Valkyrie hiding behind my back. "Angel. They do not seek war, nor do they seek a fight. They have told me that they will not lay their hands on Gwenyvier, in exchange for their lives." The blue-haired angel stopped to take all that in, but his countenance displayed that he found that hard to believe. Still, he was quite reasonable. "I'm sorry, I didn't know." He walked over to an unconscious Valkyrie and healed her.

I spotted a stranger telling everyone to get to the next level, saying that things are following us. Most of them didn't listen to him. But he was right. There was someone following us. I ran towards the elevator as my shoes were soaked in blood, leaving red footprints on the sickly grey, metallic ground. "COME ON THE ELEVATOR!"I shouted.

Mine seems more interesting. Could you follow my post? It seems more interesting to me, though if you can provide enough reasoning for the reason as to why you want to use your post as a base, I'll be easily convinced. I just don't feel like editing my post so much as to completely change what the other characters think of him.

Limmeh: "Look out behind!" Teyailain took a quick, broad sweep, spinning with his legs and hurriedly cutting off the Valkyrie's legs from behind him.
Once again: "Stop! It looks like the Valkyries have ceased fire, and are now lining up in military fashion!"
