I think Three Rings tries their best to improve the game, but I can't simply stay if it doesn't work for me. I haven't left the game yet. I love this game, and it feels too good to leave. It's not easy to like a game if you've gotten really bad from a certain update. I don't want to ruin the fun for people who like the new user interface so I only want it toggleable.
Can these people who "quit" please try that again. Due to some bug you are still here.

As for the whole thing against Papaya, maybe they deviated a bit from the title of the thread, but this is the General Discussion category, not just a bunch of people posting their opinions and then not communicating with one another. Also, for some of you disagreeing with Papaya, they had given facts to call out people for saying things that aren't infact true, and you're just going to sit there and say the facts are wrong? You're practically going up to a scientist and claiming everything is happening because of magic.
As for the reply to the question in the title, I have immense respect for OOO, especially at a time like this. They're all working on things in this game, trying to please every one of you by adding in things suggested earlier on in the forums. (No matter how small they may be) Meanwhile, they need to put up with all of this bull and don't drop the ban hammer on you people for being ignorant, mindless pricks who complain about the tiniest things possible.

Keep in mind, that SK has a very large community right now. OOO has a lot more customers
than just you guys, and they need to please everybody at least a little bit. Every update
they make, was put there because they've heard somebody chatting about it, or seen some forum post
that inspired them. Don't think OOO just wants to troll our brains out. Because they don't, since when
you start doing that you start losing players.
"Crap" is not considered bad language here as it is not censored in the game. In fact, I don't know of any forum that considers it unacceptable language.

Last time I checked, the forums were for expressing opinion. If you can't handle the fact that someone has a differing opinion from yours, then why are you even here? Many people think that OOO did a bad job with the last update. If you think differently, then fine. Immature name-calling doesn't tend to help anyone's case, though. So if you can't put together an argument without resorting to childish insults, you probably shouldn't post anything. Whether or not you actually have a good point, the moment you start to think that your opinion is the only valid one and that everyone else is (as you so eloquently put it) ignorant and mindless, your argument loses all credibility.

People who are basically asking others to stfu about the crappy new update R the minority right now.. just cause 1 random person asked for new UI.. or someone complained about the difficulty of wolvers without thinking of the consequences.. DOESNT mean the devs should implement every request ever made.. without thinking the CONSEQUENCES.. is that how we think? no further than the moment? o someone asked for something derp alright here u go kid.. (o look at that EVERYONE else is angry because noone else liked the thing we did... o WELL.)

Why? Because of the very same implementations that 'everyone' seems to hate.
No, I don't -entirely- like the new UI. Yes, I'm disappointed that they nerfed devilites and wolvers.
But these changes were implemented following suggestions by the community.
Some people may be irate because "Just one random person" suggested a change and OOO ran with it, but isn't a community just a group of individuals tied together by location or interest? If OOO didn't have the balls to run with an obscure suggestion that a single person made, I do not see how the commonly-sung song of "OOO Doesn't listen to us!" would be any different. We'd just be crying "OOO -NEVER- listens to us" rather than "OOO listens to the wrong people! (And who are you to say they are the wrong person to listen to for that matter?)"
OOO does listen. many people just don't like it when they do, and if that is the case some responsibility lies on the whims of the community in addition to the company trying to please them. OOO developers are not the same as us, and some suggestions are easier to implement than others, so since they -do- want us to realize they listen, they are most likely running with the simple suggestions.
I am certain it is much easier to remove mob tracking than it is to, say, add a slew of new levels or a new game mode altogether in a reasonable amount of time; and it could very well be the case that, in an effort to listen to us, OOO implements reasonable requests or suggestions that have received community attention. (And people DO support these suggestions. There are several "yay, nerf them!" responses to 'devilites are too hard' threads.)
Further, it could be equally reasonable to expect that OOO devs, busy at work, do not have the time to sit around and read every single thread, and could be pulling suggestions at random that seem simple enough.
I'm glad they're doing -something.- I'm glad they're putting in the work to do -something.- Eventually, maybe that -something- will be something the majority of the community wants. Until then, I'm willing to wait. at least until I get bored.

>Mind you enlighten me why OOO chose this 1/1000 good suggestions to implement? It was clearly unnecessary. And the best evidence I can support with, is Luguiru's thread. Just go check it, and you will see the countless things that should be re-made, fixed, edited and even new things. Threads like Thrillhaus's shouldn't be ignored like that for a year. I can't remember people asking for a new UI, yet they asked for some additions on the older one. But yeah, OOO likes to troll us from time to time, and I have no objections...
"Crap" can be considered offensive depending on how a person uses it (and probably the country they live in; you never know). I'm guessing the Papaya is one of those people (Kats?) who finds the word - or the context - distasteful anyway.

"Stupid". How is this thread defined as that? It's just people discussing OOO. You just came in here, randomly flamed the thread, for no reason. If you hate people who disagree with OOO, can you at least give reasons as to why you disagree, just not randomly flame?
That may well be true, but you really can't expect anything on the internet to carry anything less than a PG-13 rating. If someone finds the word "crap" to be unacceptably offensive, then I'll feel sorry for them once they reach the rest of the Intarwebz. But I think this discussion is getting a bit off topic...

Why would it be better for OOO to release an update that, from what I can tell, the majority of the playerbase dislikes simply because a few people might have suggested it than for them to work on content that the majority of people are asking for even if it takes them a bit longer? They just seem to be in denial about the whole issue right now and think we'll just get over it. But many people, myself included, have genuine gameplay issues with this update. Increased graphics lag from new hitsplosions, UI getting in the way during battle, etc. All these things make the game harder, but it's not a challenging type of difficulty, it's all just Fake Difficulty (falling under the "Bad technical aspects make it difficult" category).

No no no no. I don't think its fine just because someone somewhere asked for it. As I said, the ui implementations and devilite/wolver nerfing were shots at the wrong (or at the very least, unnecessary) target.
I dislike the UI (because now my attacks snap downward, making it harder for me to play since I use keyboard controls, and graphical lag in haven) and wolver tracking nerfs and quite a few other updates.
HOWEVER.
OOO does show, although through moderate disappointment, that they -DO- listen to the community (or a portion thereof), and because of that I respect them (even if the actual decisions made do not benefit or are not wanted by the majority.)
I'm disappointed with the subjects they chose to tackle, but I am impressed by their drive. It's better than doing nothing or not allowing the community input at all, and probably they might become more intune with the general community needs/wants as time goes on.
My mini rant was bad and I should feel bad.
Apologies for wasting your time for those who read that, was a bit drunk earlier, and I didn't realize it was also a bit late as to what I was referring to. Re-reading everything, I really missed a lot of what was said beforehand, and I responded like a 4 year-old who could only hear half of the conversation, and only knew the meaning of a few words.
The only thing about that post I don't regret is the analogy I made, which can be useful in another situation, but not this one
Now for the answer to the question, I do respect OOO, though some things that have been done aren't to my liking, but it's not really too big of a deal
The following messages are my reasons for not liking the new update:
-Not used to the way the tabs are set.
-The portrait is disturbing.
-Vials and capsules are too realistic.
-The health is lower, and the percentages make me worse and confused.
-Shield bar is unnecessary
-Names aren't colored unless you're in a dungeon, Lockdown, or your friends and guildmates have colored names for identification.
I feel like I'm missing something, but those are mostly on my mind right now.
Benefits:
-Zooming
-Monster Info. Bar
-You can disable a lot of things, but it's not enough.
It's my opinion. I'm not flaming anyone for liking the new user interface. This is my opinion so like Ubernerd said... if you can't accept this then you can't stay on the forums.
That's all well and good, but this thread is about whether or not you respect OOO, not whether or not you like the update. Sooooo..... Yeah.

And for the record, I do respect OOO. It may not seem like it, but I do. Even if I am very disappointed with the recent occurrences. However, I'm beginning to think that they don't respect us (i.e. the majority of people who don't like this and have had countless quality suggestions about how it can and should be better). That thought makes me sad and more than a little bit worried about the direction of the game if it can be so easily influenced in a bad direction by so few.

And the same thing that Ubernerd said, I respect OOO for their hardwork and for keeping this game running till now, yet I dislike, and horribly, their latest decisions in many different cases. Hope they find the rope to the right way again, otherwise, this won't go fine forever...

Ah well ^^ I believe that OOO will manage to pass this "obstacle" of bad decisions :P Who knows? Maybe they'll receive a huge wave of new players once they manage to get back on the right track again ^^
I see no language in Dragneel's post. I see strong wording, but no personal insults or unacceptable language. And him saying "Do you know how to read?" seems somewhat deserved to me since you apparently didn't even read what he said about EPs and came up with a completely unrelated point.
