Well let me start off this by saying that our current chat box is well cluttered and has a bunch of different chat zones within it.

As a start to reducing the amount of spam on my screen is for ghosted chat. Chat will show chat that has been said a few seconds ago and will remain there for a few seconds and if you want to see what everyone wrote you hit enter and along with the chat box where you write the entire chat will pop up as well thus reducing the amount of clatter on the screen.

I also had an idea for movable tabs I.e Trade and guild can be moved around in separate tabs and will have the same properties as text box as it shows only the very recent chat

Guild tab - G key shortcut to open chat
Trade chat - T trade chat tab
Zone chat- Y zone chat tab

When you hit 'G' it will write in guild chat you can then do /o To talk in officer chat.

Leave your opinion.

Liking it, but maybe trade and zone could be spaced together as /G and /o are?
People are already complaining that with the battlepokémons and shield bash there is an abundance of buttons gonna be needed.
Especially those with controlled would suffer

That's a good idea.

@Feyi
I think that would be best.

I agree with the tabs, but disagree with the "ghosted chat". As much as it works in Haven and the like, I feel it'll prove to be a nuisance in PvE and PvP parties. Mainly because you're not focusing on the chat. A party member might say something important, but you fail to notice it. The chat never tells you something was said after it's "ghosted". I highly doubt anyone would want to press Enter every time they wanted to check if someone said something.

On that note, I'd recommend the chat doesn't "auto-hide", as it were. Rather, you can toggle to hide it. In other words, pressing the key representing the tab you're currently on, will automatically hide the chat. Pressing it again, re-shows the chat. Pressing a key for another tab shows the chat and changes the tab.

OR, have a universal "hide/show chat" key, alongside the tab keys (to avoid confusion). Noting that a "party tab" will be needed.

If you're on, say, the guild tab, if someone speaks in the party tab, the party tab is highlighted in some way. Which applies for all tabs. Highlights do not disappear until AFTER you're in the text box for the respective tab (so the system confirms that you've actually read it).

Just my 2 cents.

Yes, I agree, I never pay attention to these type of chat boxes.. I don't think the chat is as big of a problem as the fact that it covers up people's names and hp bars in LD.

While you have a point we can make the tab button show all the chat at once and check for your important message.

And i feel it is very unlikely that one wouldn't see an important message as you surely don't afk in a danger mission.

And naturally if the message is of great importance it is said before the party button is pressed and so hitting enter to see what people said isn't too much of a pain.
