You are now reading this post in Morgan Freeman's voice.

Why give the dash invisibility? Heck if I know.
Isn't it more adequate if monsters can see you? Sure.
It's kind of hard to answer the question when the title, the introduction post, and so many other things are misleading the reader to believe you are just another person who is angry at how easy the game is now.
Yes, people won't read up to post #37 about this when they just see the first post showing a video and telling everyone that the game is being nerfed to the ground.

@Coolnew
Its not off-topic because you are saying that OOO doesn't like skill. So I am replying to that and making you remember where you came from.
Oh being a Unity officer doing recruit test. So on your run I remember, and so do others, my VV made you sick, my Swiftstiker Buckler made you nervous and your hands were sweating due to being very nervous. Sorry but it has been what over a year.. year and half since that run? So of course we might not remember but some of us might. OH I remember you very well. Care to know you.. not so much. But okay take it with a grain of salt. You post on the forums you will get replies. Thank you. Well maybe it's time you moved onward towards untouched land to see what it will offer, as you said, "This game is a toy."

@Mister-Chilled that's for you: http://youtu.be/nR0foZfH50c so what you said = invalid too. Nice tone, yours, though. MC, In my test run I just said you made me anxious by saying "now the real test is about to start" or something similar. And I do not come from you for sure. LOL. I perfectioned everything of my playstyle without your help. Just because you have been playing for more time than me, it doesn't mean I didn't destroyed you multiple times in lockdown. Of course this statement is as irrelevant as yours. About my thread, you said the trick worked because I was waiting a bit before walking. That was appreciated. Now I stated my point again with a new video. Keep every other invented story for yourself. Nobody cares nor asked.

@Contri https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DJl5eTtQ5aQ

@Mlkl if one reads the first post with video, he should understand that this is just another thing. Not the critical one. The nature of the forum thread should be the one pushing people to discuss about it. Since it looks like I was misleading, I apologize, but I still hope for no more OT answers like Contri's or MC's.

@Mister-Chilled off-topic stuff needs off-topic replies. Defending my position versus your lies is more important to me.

Anyway, I'm tired of fighting all of this. I give up. This thread can be moved in the graveyard as far as I know. If you like, keep discussing. I'm out of this.

This post has a tone of concern.

Chilled, I am not sure why you are still responding to Coolnew's point in the FIRST post when you seem to have read the thread and understood what his point was at post #37 While your point seems to be that when Coolnew was in Firestorm Citadel during his test, that he found it hard, that really doesn't answer post #37.
The point has changed within the past few hours. The first post was no longer relevant to the current discussion. Coolnew understood this, and he apologized for this here, at post #57.
Please remember that opinions and subjective views do change, and may not fit with your own or another person's.
On the topic itself, I'm not sure what there is left to discuss.

Congratulations, you can jump

Congratulations, you can jump out of turret aggro range since dash makes you temporarily invisible to enemies (non player of course).

The game becomes too easy once you can solo all the danger missions, shadow lairs, and shadow lair bosses without the use of trinkets on average man's ping. I carry a higher ping level and a solid level of skill, and I'm inches from completing every danger mission solo, done half of them even, but it's a fight to get there.

I don't use trinkets.
I use only 3 weapon slots.
I don't hoarde every item in game.

It's a decent challenge outside of standard raids, I plow through most standard content short of the really underhanded stuff.

Dashing (and bashing) does not remove skill from the game, but gives players more tools at their disposal that, if used properly, can increase their potential.

The puppy dash is an exploit I am quite aware of with this patch, and even enjoy using it myself since it's faster than the previous two methods of glitching turret targeting. (I have 4 methods total, though)

I think if they raise the roof on content soon (which will be necessary since the addition of this and battle sprites) and you can be happy with that once it gets done.

If you spec into every item in game or ROFL-OP trinkets, you are quite intentionally removing a level of difficulty by being overly prepared in missions.

When utilizing the Troika dash, various locational abnormalities occur such as hitbox, etcetera.
Say if I dash across a zombie's breath, the damage blast will interrupt the zombie's breath before I even move. This doesn't really line up with how the animation works. Also, in a similar manner to hammer dashes, a correctly aimed troika charge can cross corner to corner fire traps.

Decide what you're arguing about, please. This thread hurts my brain to read.

Take off your mask. Then show us your Smile.

Firstly, I'd like to know what the problem is. If it's about dash's "psudo-invisibility", then there's nothing to discuss. If it's about the general difficulty of the game, which is what the OP and title seem to suggest, then dash is a minor problem compared with everything else that's wrong. If it's about Coolnew being too pro for this game, then why complain? It's not the dev's fault for making the game more accessible to a wider range of people and generating revenue, although the need for tougher difficulty is probably needed for cases like this.

If you spec into every item in game or ROFL-OP trinkets, you are quite intentionally removing a level of difficulty by being overly prepared in missions.

^This.

And for the record, the "Psudo-Invisibility" thing is new to me: I never knew Dash did that.

Yes that; in the sense that that's the problem. You shouldn't be able to do that.

We shouldn't be able to... what? Craft every single item in the game? Or just use the most OP loadout in the game?

my 2 cents

After forming so many guildies to FSC and telling them the veteran test is FSC while dragging 3 corpses.

I can tell you T3 is hard enough.

You are just full decked out geared and have made it 100 times. Of course it is easy... but for newcomer... not so much, we have 2 guildies that just cannot do this vet test (which I find it awesome that we got a hard enough test that some people are afraid to even take it)

Just put your proto gear on with a Calibur, go in FSC and you will have the time of your life. I know I did, it was so fun and challenging.

Edit: I think dashing in front of mobs at a certain distance shouldn't aggro them. Of course dashing in front of them usually aggro them, still need to test if true. If you had been on the test server you would find dash okay. It got nerfed badly :D

WoW solved their problems

WoW solved their problems through Heroic difficulty. Still waiting, OOO.

@Shamamamlammabamma

You shouldn't be using player handicaps for content intended to be run with 5* armor and judge the difficulty of content based on that.

Even if you get the best armor and weapon set for a specific situation, it should still be a challenge. As of now, it's hardly a challenge without that set, and getting it makes it all too easy yet doesn't have enough effect at the same time. The way armors are designed right now isn't working, and the difficulty isn't really either.

:;

Walking the puppy room was always possible, as one of the videos pointed out, but from my own experience trying it (also, hugging the bottom wall), it seemed to have a random chance of detecting or not detecting me ¦/

I didn't do it myself because I preferred to be more straightforward using guns to kill the zombies, kill the puppy, and then continue on in the room as usual.

But let's humor the situation from the OP:
wow, you can now do a room legitimately (not using fancy tricks like shock or alchemer ricochets) with just swords. Congratulations OMG THE WHOEL GAME IS BREOKNB EASY ONO

...

Of course the game will be easy when you learn to take advantage of the mechanics. That's part of getting better. The only difference now is that there are now situationally-better options to use. What's the difference to us end-game players? None. What's the difference to the newer players? It's easier, if they choose to use it. It's still optional. I still forget shieldbash is a thing (admittedly, mostly because I just log on to play lockdown with people)

You know what though, I have fun with the new skills. We can clear areas much quicker too, just by virtue of the dash existing in places where levels were designed without dash in mind - I'm happy to be able to clear certain trap rooms and cover distance much quicker than before. Dash/Bash come with the tradeoff that you lose control for the duration of the thing, anyway.

The nice thing about it is that if/when they get to it, having "active" abilities such as dash/bash/pet abilities (the pets, if I read the description correctly, are essentially adding a 'class skill' to your knight) might make the current content easier, but it makes the interaction and possibilities for future content much more interesting. Imagine a boss monster with a shockwave AOE attack instead of just projectiles: before, your only option would be to attempt to tank it with a shield (stat-based, not skill-based), or run away. Now, you have the added option of timing an invincible dash (or in my mind, a "roll" - thanks Smash) to go towards/through it and get a more 1337 time. It's not like you're invincible during the whole movement anyway, right? (I get hit out of it all the time in Lockdown :x )
