If anyone else has noticed....

Shadow:

Turret: Undead (Howlitzer)
Healer: Fiend (Silkwing)

Elemental:

Turret: Construct (Gun Puppy)
Healer: Gremlin (Tenderfoot/Ironclaw/Darkfang Mender)

Piercing:

Turret: Slime (Polyp)
Healer: ???

I think there should be a beast healer. I had an idea that it could be a new type of chromalisk which spits a puddle of pink stuff which could heal any monsters in the puddle. Any monsters nearby might move into this puddle because they know they need healing. By every tier you could make it so the puddle can get bigger and heals more. I don't know what this monster could be called so if you support this, please leave a name if you can think of one :?

You can interpret that in different ways.
Silkwings are classified as fiends, but still fit into beast levels.

First off, Healers don't deal damage. What do turrets and that damage classification have to do here?

Onto defense, a beast healer would be weak to pierce, just like silkwings.

Menders are neutral to pierce... there's only one option left.
What resist pierce? constructs and slimes. Slimes are weak to shadow...so are menders.

Conclusion: Construct healers would be more unique.

There are 6 monster family

There are 6 monster family types. They're divided into 3 (2 deal shadow, 2 deal elemental, and 2 deal piercing). Each group exept for piercing has 1 family type with a turret of some sort and the other with a healer, and yes, Silkwings are fit for beast levels. Plus the construct family already have a turret :3

I see these family types so 1 has a healer, and 1 has a turret. Simple. Piercing inflicting monsters do not have a healer of some sort. Which is why I think that this monster would 'fit' these beast/slime themed levels more than a Silkwing.

Well, I think categorizing into damage categories doesn't really make sense, since healers can't attack. I don't even know why you'd group turrets and healers together. Instead, base turrets on attack and healers on defense:

Turrets:
-Piercing: Polyp
-Elemental: Gun Puppy
-Shadow: Howlitzer

Healers: (weakness)
-Piercing: Silkwing
-Shadow: Mender
-Elemental: ???

So, what you really need is a healer that's weak to elemental. If you follow the trend of the turrets where there is one damage type that never does critical damage against the class, then you need a healer that is neutral to shadow and weak to elemental. Which means, construct healer.

I think the more major problem rather than having a new healer i

s that we really need a jelly "elite" enemy. Right now, we have the Feverish Hugger, the coward behind the shield, the Nomnomnom Dog, the... oh waffles... we need an undead "elite" enemy and a gremlin "elite" enemy as well...

Just sayin'

Ice Cubes are elite jellies.
Also, Gremlin Thwackers are elite gremlins.

We need

things like T3 mender protection thing for other healers(Oh wait, the only other one is silkwing). If they can't attack, they should have some defense. Also, I heard that in beta, gremlin menders were insanely overpowered and had this heatseeking projectile. Yeah.

Let me just fill in this table.

Shadow:

Turret: Undead (Howlitzer)
Healer: Fiend (Silkwing)

Elemental:

Turret: Construct (Gun Puppy)
Healer: Gremlin (Tenderfoot/Ironclaw/Darkfang Mender)

Piercing:

Turret: Slime (Polyp)
Healer: Silme (Royal Mini)

It's a slime, clearly listed as a slime here, and another thing can be healed due to its presence. Sure, it doesn't actually deal any piercing damage, but neither do the other healers. I think it counts.

@Hex

Hmm? Why don't we see Ice Cubies when in Jelly Arenas? Why do I see Mecha-Knights?
Why don't we see exclusively Gremlins in gremlin arenas? why are there Mecha-Knights?
Maybe these enemies are elite in a sense of how difficult they are, but they aren't truly elites because there are still Mecha-Knights in other themed arenas.

@Klipik,
What do you mean by "brutes", are they not the same as elite monsters?

Nope.
Not at all.

The "brute" wave in arenas is the one with either a bunch of Alpha Wolvers or Lumbers, in the last room.

Ah, seems like I just mixed them up after reading that before

Well it's not like they put Rock Jellies in the arenas... I don't know, but half the PvE game balance problem seems to stem from a lack of Pierce/Shadow-weak enemies

Adding mobs to fill these rolls would probably help fix that balance because Contructs and Fiends wouldn't be the only ones with elite-class monsters.

(hmmm this thread has been totally derailed)

You don't seem to be aware of the monster structure gaps. Why do you think mecha knights appeared instead of greavers right up until the greaver buff?
