First,I'm player who always play with "Red Ping Bar" Every time.I never get into yellow bar too. Really! I Try too decrease my ping but failed.So I have to stick with this terrible ping.

I see there is no thread about teaching high ping player to play Lockdown Yet .So I make this one and hope everyone will help too....

~~~Things You Should Know First ~~~
- Practice makes perfect! (Troupe-Forums)
- Your screen are showing the past. (Thowardz)
- Your action take half your ping time to get into the server.
Such as attack,walking,boost/invisible/shield,healing on Heal Pad Etc. (Klipik-Forum , Thowardz)
- You just have to know how to control your latency and take advantage of it (Feller)
- Understand the timing, and lead your attacks. (Rogue-Wolf)
- Dodging constantly helps you stay alive (Leekcoco)
- Work with someone, rather than roll alone. Going solo with high latency makes you an easier target. (Rogue-Wolf)

~~~About Weapon Or Class~~~
- Gunning is tricky,You have to aim enemy carefully. You need to guess where the target move and think how fast your bullet go. And then you have high ping. make it harder because you can only see the past. If you not good at gun don't use it as primary weapon (Erlandr , Thowardz)
- Try and make someone follow you in a predictable way so that you have an easier time guessing and "aiming" if you want to gun with high latency (Leekcoco)
- Fast guns can be useless, Instead of Valiance or Alchemers, Use Polaris or Biohazard (Feller)
- Slow swords can work better. It's easier to hits with and less hits to kill. Because they have high damage and wide swing.It's will be your best friend. (Troupe-Forums , Feller , Thowardz)
- If you're not doing well in an aggressive role, you should look into going with a support role (such as a bomber). Less effort on your end, and you'll help your team mates. (Rogue-Wolf)
- Try to avoid evading, instead, offensive action is your best choice of defense (Stelli)

Why Would You Capitalise Every Single Word?

There's no specific 'Stretegy Or Tips-n-Tricks' for high ping players, you just have to guess where opponents are gonna strike milliseconds before they actually hit you so you can counter/dodge them.

as for playing with a high ping:

Don't rely on guns (except for maybe a polaris)
slow swords work better - easier to get hits with and less hits to kill

I might add more if I remember

High ping players can make other people in the game lag? That's good information, thanks.

As you've said, the most important thing to remember when playing with high ping is that what you are seeing has already happened, and you have to predict where the enemy will be in [half your ping time] in order to hit them. I say half your ping time because that's how long it takes your action to get to the server, which is where everything happens.

Is quite simple

1.- fast guns a are useless, instead of valiance or alchemers, use Polaris or biohazard.
2.- wide range swords are your best friend
3.- with 2 bars your avatar is 2 - 3 bodys ahead from the real position (2 secs delay).
4.- be careful of AT users, they usually hit from 10 mtrs.

Avoid caping, opponents will always hit first because of latency.

I got a new dedicated line, with much improvement, I'm getting 250 ping for US and 400+ for EU.

Fml, most of the time you'll be like a sitting duck, especially when you are capping, by the time u see some striker boosting towards you, even if you evade, it will be too late; as you are viewing the past.

I gun with high ping, and it's not impossible. Yeah, everything sucks in general. Getting hit from 10 tiles away, dying as soon as a player with high ASI shows their forehead, weapon switches not registering . . . Though most of the time I swear people just walk into my bullets, the only thing you can do is try and make someone follow you in a predictable way so that you have an easier time guessing and "aiming" if you want to gun with high latency. Dodging constantly helps you stay alive, since you can't trust what you see.

They all have the same latency I do, and they have nothing to envy 4 bars players, even when we have a TITANIC disadvantage.

As far as I know, Danyx have the second biggest damage after me in LD, in a non-fixed match. We both play with 250ms - 400ms.

You just have to know how to control your latency and take advantage of it, remove AT (Just to prevent your balls drop down your pants to the floor), and start to predict opponent movements.

Feller, please stop talking about high latency. 2 bars is not a 2 second delay. 2 seconds is 2000ms. You might as well not do anything with latency that high.

Blueflood, as an Australian player, with pretty mediocre Internet, I have an average latency of 700ms+. Dodging is nigh on impossible, simply because you take damage from people you don't even see yet. With that in mind, dodging a Polaris is still relatively easy; which is why I've never understood why people suck at it so much.

Now that all that's over...
- Capitalizing every word makes it more difficult to read; not easier. Fix that.

- Remove the part about "if you have high ping, you'll make others lag". That's not helping. It's discouraging people from playing.

- Remove the "AT" from where you say to watch out for others. AT makes them a bit better, but the issue is not in AT. It's in your latency. Say it's difficult to dodge, and you should really keep moving to confuse your opponent.

- Saying "avoid capping" is just plain wrong. Worse still, you mention "they'll get the first hit", implying you shouldn't try to fight either. Again, you're discouraging.

well, either move to the US, or hope that ooo one day will add an Asia Pacific Region Server.

It makes a lot of sense, as we have players from aussie, malaysia, vietnam, who dont read or write chinese, making us impossible to join the Taiwan/Hong Kong server.

I did try the Taiwan/Hong Kong server once (Since I live in Hong Kong), and tbh with full bar, it feels like playing a different game..

Best Tip There Is

Practice.

When I first started playing lockdown, 6k damage was a good for me. Now I can hit over 10k without trying most games. Practice makes perfect!

This is a pretty decent guide, even for decent ping players fighting those with epic ping (ex: 100 ping vs 10 ping). The slight difference in reaction time and taking it into account are pretty vital, and it scales with the ping difference. For USA players it's a good thing to keep in mind when you visit EU or the other way around.
