Greetings.

It's been roughly two years since I've played Spiral Knights, and I've come back to quite a few changes. Aside from the obvious and what must be exhaustively debated recent changes implemented within the past few months, the main one that I've noticed is that many of the guilds I knew -- my old one included -- have been abandoned. It seems a huge chunk of veteran players have stopped playing, and I can see why, but that's another topic.

Anyway, I'm looking for a guild so I thought I'd make a post here. I'll give you all the pertinent details of my person so that you (being, I assume, someone of your guild who seeks to recruit others to your UNSTOPPABLE ARMY) can decide whether I'm really the guy for your little party of sword swingers and bomb planters.

ACTIVITY: Pretty regularly way back when; right now, hard to say. I've been playing every day for the past week, but who's to say how long that will keep up? I'm a grad student with a near full time job and a full thesis project on the side, so any guild that "requires" regular activity from me is a no go. I'll do what I can to help the team and stuff, but having things demanded of me, like time and resources if I can't afford to give either, won't really work out.

EXPERIENCE: Pretty good. I'm strictly a free to play player, but luckily I actually won a fanfic contest a couple years back and was awarded a pretty decent amount of energy for it, allowing me to speed a bit quicker on the way to 5 star gear. I mostly do PvE; I find PvP a bit dull, although it's nice to jump in to change things up now and again. The bomberman thing is always an amusing crown expenditure. I'm a very good team player, but I can also solo virtually anything. This does not include Vana, though, and the Royal Jelly at this point is a bit hit or miss (I haven't had enough exposure to him since the changes to figure out whether I can wreck him on my own or not). For what it's worth, I am only a "squire" and only did a few missions. I stopped doing those because I'd rather roam the clockworks and kill bosses than waste energy getting through stupidly easy missions, although I suppose the payout once you hit stages 9-X makes it all worth it.

GEAR: Three weapons and two armor sets. My weapons, as of right now, are Glacius (my one true love, my Glacius is my prime weapon and never leaves my side), Graviton Vortex, and a 4 star Flourish. My skelly set is comprised of a Sinister skelly suit and a Dread Skelly Mask; the latter of which has both piercing and fire resistance. My demo set is currently a 4 star suit and a 3 star helm which I'm currently in the process of leveling. Now that I think of it, actually, my demo armor is fully heated and ready to become a volcanic suit, for which I already have the materials and recipe. So, I guess I actually have a 5 star demo armor. I was working on the helm, but honestly I mix it: I wear my demo armor, skelly helm (its a double UV and is much better than the demo) and carry all three weapons at all times. Currently seeking a Final Flourish recipe, which will be my final 5 star gear. Then, who knows. I might start looking for other things to craft for the fun of it, or start rolling on ragecrafting recipes I already have to get much better versions of my weapons. I also have a 5 star Volcanic Plate shield, which I carry around sometimes just for funsies because it looks awesome. Side note: I don't use any guns. Those three weapons are all I have, but they're all I really need 99% of the time (though it necessitates a 250 CE purchase of weapon slot every month).

PLAYSTYLE: Crowd control, baby. Ideally, I play alone against tons of hostile mobs; this way, they are only targeting me, which allows me to drop my vortex bomb, holding the enemies in place once they come after me, after which I switch to Glacius and freeze them solid, giving me time to deal with anything not caught in the bomb. Thaw damage is a bonus as I leave the captured and frozen enemies to their fate. With a party, though, things can go awesomely with proper coordination: I drop only the bomb, while my buddies throw vials or use other similar Brandish-line weapons. The vortex and the freezing is exactly why I can solo almost anything. Along with my ridiculous shadow resistance and my flourish, I can tackle anything undead, which is why everything Vana-related (except the guy himself) is a joke to me. I love graveyards, too. I still hate fiends, though I heard they got nerfed a bit.

ABOUT ME: I'm a 25 year old grad student in marine biology, currently residing close to Miami, Florida. I'm looking for a mature guild without tons of players (I don't like large guilds), although guilds with tons of players are fine as long as there aren't tons online at any given point. I prefer using VOIP; TS3 is what I use most often. I still haven't figured out whether the ingame VOIP works for me. I don't think anyone can hear my voice in the game.

That's all I can think of as far as the basics go. Wealth shouldn't be important, but I've got a few thousand energy and anywhere between 10k to 60-70k crowns at any given time. Never did a shadow lair; would be interesting to try.
