Double Weapons

There are a lot of people are coming up with the idea of wielding 2 weapons at once, but this one is a little different. I see a Knight at the Core wielding two flourishes, and I see a knight at the homepage wielding a sword and gun. So how about a new type of weapons? The shield problem will be covered. When you select a character, you see the shield hovering above the knight's hand. There would be 9 types of double weapons, 1) Sword with Sword, 2) Sword with Gun, 3) Sword with Bomb, 4) Gun with Gun, 5) Gun with Sword, 6) Gun with Bomb, 7) Bomb with Bomb, 8) Bomb with Sword, and 9) Bomb with Gun. Here's how each type would work:

1): The right-hand sword would start the combo with 2 slashes, then the left hand sword would end the combo with a stab.
2): The sword would do 2 slashes, then the gun would fire.
3): The sword would do 2 slashes then the bomb would be laid on the floor.

4): The right-hand gun would fire, then the left, then the right.
5): The gun would fire twice, then the sword would slash, firing a burst of energy.
6): The gun would fire twice, then the bomb would be thrown.

7): The left bomb would be laid on the floor before you charge, then the right bomb would be laid.
8): The sword would slash as the bomb is laid. (On the charge attack)
9): The gun would be fired as the bomb is laid. (On the charge attack)

1): The left-hand sword would stab like a flourish charge, then the right-hand sword would to a big slash.
2): The sword would do a big slash, then the gun would fire a large shot.
3): The bomb would be laid, then the sword would do a big slash.

4): The right-hand gun would fire a large shot, then the left-hand gun would do the same.
5): Sword would slash, firing a large burst of energy, then the gun would fire.
6): The bomb would be laid, then the gun would fire.

Did you ever thought of, that the GMs also have something different to do than programming pictures, animations, stats.... for 9 different new weapon-types? I don't know how experienced you are with programming, but every child should know, that this really is a big amount of work, time and money they would waste on a little feature, which a lot of players would even not like?

lol nope. You can't make this a good idea. No one can

no -1. This would take too much time of coding to get everything down and this won't work well either as many weapons have different attack combo styles and charges. Also polaris+blitz

@Waffle: Wrong.

@Skyga: GMs moderate. Programmers program.

@Pery: The reason shield is usually removed when discussing this is because it's the first thing people think of as a counterbalance. Yours essentially does nothing for that, and all it really does is add four more weapon slots with automatic combos.

How about we remove the right-hand flourish from Vaelyn so people start complaining about not being able to play as left-handed instead?
And yes, I am left-handed.

But anyways, this idea is EXACTLY the same as Dual-Wielding, and it's just annoying, how every day someone gets this stupid idea.

Sorry, I wasn't clear enough.

THESE double weapons would be pre-made, for example:
Sword with sword: Fencing Kit
Gun with Gun: Rocket Shooters (Each gun would fire one shot each)
Bomb with Bomb: Bomb Dropper
Sword with Gun: Dueling kit
Sword with Bomb: Boom stick (I laugh every time I hear that! XD)
Gun with Bomb: Bomb launcher

There would only be 6 new weapon types: Double Sword, Double gun, double bomb, sword-gun, bomb sword, and gun-bomb, and they would do the same damage as any other weapon. (PS: where have I heard of the boom stick before? I think it's in a movie...)

They'll look good with a swiftstrike but too silly with a plate shield....

Pery, you were clear enough. The point is, that programming such things is very complicated, and takes a lot of time, money, work and so on.... and it's even much more complicated, when it should look good, which is (in this situation) not even possible. The idea itself stays the same as Dual-Wielding, you just added, that these combinations would be pre-added, but this should be clear from the very beginning of this Dual-Wielding-idea-crap. So just give it up...

I believe boom sticks are percussion tubes of various lengths that produce different notes and tones when bashed together. My school used to use them.

We already can dual wield. It's default. Don't believe me? Look up switch shooting alchemers. That's shooting two guns. It's not just alchemers. Some of my friends quadruple wield with various guns, swords, and bombs. You can't use them at the same time but those controls would be too tricky anyways.
