A new weapon series idea. Spray guns would work similarly to the autogun series, but the bullets would look like little
puffs of mist. Visually, they would look sort of like a bulky alchemer with a wide nozzle. Spray guns server a unique purpose.
They do no damage. At all. No normal, no elemental, no shadow, nothing. However, what they do is practically guarantee
to inflict their target with their corresponding status effect.

Normal shot: Fires a spread of vapor globs, the color depending on which status it inflicts.

Charged shot: Similar to the normal shot. However, it also leaves a lingering cloud of mist near
the end of its range. This cloud is the same size as one produced by a 2* mist bomb.

Statuses represented:

The spitfire series inflicts fire.
The choker series inflicts poison.
The fogger series inflicts stun.
The incapacitator series inflicts shock (debatable)
There is no freeze-inflicting one, for obvious reasons, nor is there a sleep-inflicting one.

Now, I know what you're going to say: This will either make mist bombs obsolete, or will be pointless due to mist bombs.
Here are the advantages and disadvantages of each.

Spray Guns
___________________________________________
+ A lot quicker (does not require charge)
+ A viable status-inducer for gunslingers
+ Actually inflicts statuses more quickly and surely than mist bombs
- Covers a shorter range and radius
- Holds the player in place while firing
- Does absolutely no contact damage at all.

Mist bombs
____________________________________________
+ Huge, wide AOE which increases with better versions
+ Allows the player to walk while using
+ Does small elemental damage on hit
- Has a long charge time, followed by a fuse time
- Leaves you vulnerable for the obligatory charge time
- May not necessarily inflict statuses on quick targets which escape quickly

mehh...?

So just mobile mist bombs? I kinda like the idea but it really doesn't seem to be needed. I guess this could be added but I just feel like it would just over shadow the mist bombs :l so +mehh...?

This seems like the most overpowered LD weapon of all time.

Loadout: Chaos Set, Blitz, FF, incapacitator
-stun/interrupt target with FF, spray with incapacitator, insta-charge Blitz and kill because of the removal of invincibility frames.

Loadout: FF, GF, Fogger
-stun target instantly, then FF/GF combo to death.

I'm sure there are other possible loadouts too, but the point is that guaranteed statuses are OP.

@Klipik

We should try to balance things (or try to crush suggestions) due to lockdown. It is already incredibly imbalanced and is a rather minor aspect of the game. If it matters that much, make the bullets? move slowly.

@OP

I rather like this idea. IMO it wouldn't outclass the haze bombs as it would seem like it would be hard to affect many enemies, which is what bombs excel at. What level of power would the statuses have? I'm thinking weak or moderate, because I don't know which one would put it more on par with the mist bombs.

~Ethanol, the guy who dislikes it when people try to balance things based on lockdown.

@Eth

It doesn't only apply to LD, being able to apply short-range statuses almost instantly with a high chance of success is also way too good in PvE against large single targets.
