Please fix your 'treasure vaults'

Make them ACTUAL treasure vaults.

Not a blinding display of colorful rainbows that reminds me all to much of the world inhabited by teletubbies.

Stumbling around I almost expect them to turn up ...man those things scare the hell out of me.

ANYWAY.

My suggestions for you are that you shrink them- cut the bs with all the coins scattered around- its a waste of time to get them all, precious little of which I have, and instead put down a few unique containers that drop pieces of gear for that tier of knight- or even rare materials.

Yeah, I don't care how low you have to make the chance of these treasure vaults actually coming up, but please make them happen.

The current treasure vaults don't fit the bill.

Thanks.

PS: OH and what the hell is up with putting down a sign of "Welcome to the treasure vault, relax you're SAFE here" and then place a few invisible virulisks that sneak up on you when you believe them, are you purposefully trolling players?
Sheet...

Pls fix your thought process

If you have so little time, what are you doing on a "MMORPG" where the primary factor is grinding?

You so 1337 you don't know the term 'grind'?

I give you 0, same amount of [redacteds] I give.

Dude, I don't have a problem

Dude, I don't have a problem with the (lack of) crowns. My problem is that the freaking Kleptolisks won't stay still and instead run like cowards when they see me coming. I chased one the entire length of the vault before cornering it and killing it. My friend was right behind me with another one.

@Skold

Dude, this isn't about ME, it's about an identified problem with the vaults, get with the program.

Are you a triple-0 employee?

No?

Then bugger off, your opinion isn't wanted here.

This is a suggestion thread, nobody asked you to opt in.

Don't like the facts?

Get out and continue being huh...'leet' and grind some more, I've got better things to do with my time.

My problem isn't so much with the 'lisks or the lack of crowns.

Mostly that the treasure vault has no actual 'treasure'.

OOO has a very loose idea of what 'treasure is', I'm trying to make this known to them, that maybe just maybe in other universes not in their own, 'treasure' MAY yet mean something else....something that's more akin to...I don't know...TREASURE???

QUOTE:

Definition by the online free dictionary:

"treas·ure (trzhr)
n.
1. Accumulated or stored wealth in the form of money, jewels, or other valuables.
2. Valuable or precious possessions of any kind.
3. One considered especially precious or valuable.

UN-QUOTE!

Number 3, especially valuable- a few scattered crowns are not valuable- they're a waste of time to collect.

QUOTE:

ac·cu·mu·late (-kymy-lt)
v. ac·cu·mu·lat·ed, ac·cu·mu·lat·ing, ac·cu·mu·lates
v.tr.
To gather or pile up; amass. See Synonyms at gather.
v.intr.
To mount up; increase.

UN-QUOTE!

Crowns scattered everywhere-that's not accumulated, that's spread out.

Treasure, people.

Make it happen like it is.

Thanks.

You amass cr, with little fighting/work

Maybe you need a little time...

TV's were designed as a break from the cw... If you're so bothered by the fact that a level exists that gives you essentially free Cr compared to say, oh I dunno, all the other levels in which you kill things, then why don't you go enjoy some red hot firestorm or jk farming?

If you can't enjoy a part of the game that's been made easily avoidable and lasts so little time when you're in a party, then pls, by all means, avoid it.

By the way, the drop rate of equipment is considerably boosted in Treasure Vaults.

nope.

they need to boost the payout of treasure vaults, yes, but not by sending there sure gear. equipment drops are very rare because they are very valuable, and it must stay so. also, (real) treasure vaults contain lots of money. I would change the initial paths of money to be more rewarding, change all boxes to red, remove the enegry gates that appear eventually, and that should be enough for me.

Treasure vaults ought to give

Treasure vaults ought to give more money. I'm not saying they need to be get-rich-quick floors, but I shouldn't be disappointed when I land in a treasure vault as opposed to a graveyard.

As for the PS in the OP, I think yes, they are intentionally klepto-trolling, and it's wonderful. I remember writing LOL when one snuck up on some guy in my first vault, only to get one of my own pills stolen as I typed.

there's a reason i placed quotes

@mtax, the quotes over mmorpg are intentional, as things currently stand, even with missions, I just see an MMO w/ RPG elements, and that's ok, SK has some pretty neat stuff. While no it's not absolutely tops for its kind of game, it is still a unique thing. I just feel they're attempting to push harder on the RPG aspect (missions has more direct text and walls of info than most of the rest of the game) and kind of losing a little sight on the most unique thing they have, the clock works.

@OP
Even if you'd have requested that an extremely rare version of a TV be made that has what you are asking for, that only had a minute chance of appearing, I'd have shown more support and patience for you, but instead, you're asking the dev team to trash the old ones in favor of your idea. That is what makes me unhappy. You could ask any forum-goer here, I've made some suggestions asking the same, but really such things don't help anyone. Even if it's for a complete rebalance, avoid telling someone to trash their work.

Now how about you change the op to attempt to salvage this concept of yours? Or you just going to let it rot?

@Skold Do you seriously think

@Skold
Do you seriously think attacking someones opinion that way will get them to ever do anything you want? I don't mind people having aggressive personalities, I'd love to see a nice angry lady any day, but if you're actually putting in a request it's just not in your best interest to act that like that.

Instead of picking at the specifics, cant we all just agree that treasure vaults shouldn't be WORSE then other levels?

Some quick ideas, all involving elevators:

  • A vault will contain two elevators: One that works like the regular one, and another one that goes down two floors, letting you skip unprofitable floors.
  • The elevator leading out of treasure vault is a free ride. This way, the player won't feel like they lose mist by visiting vaults.
  • Should the elevator lead to a treasure vault, no mist will be deducted for that ride. Same effect as above, but the point won't be missed if the vault is the final floor of the run.
  • At the end of the treasure vault, there'll be an elevator for each floor of the next depth, allowing players to choose which level they would like to enter. This is great if there's an arena right after the vault.
  • Treasure vault elevator won't lead down, instead they'll have a sideways elevator leading to one of the other levels on that depth. The level will specifically not be the graveyard, but rather randomly picked from one of the others. The elevator will be cost-free.
  • The roulette at the treasure vault elevators will have a greatly increased chance of Lockboxes and particularly mirrored Lockboxes.

And, since this will become very relevant very soon:

  • All minerals picked up in a treasure vault will go directly to the players inventory rather than needing to be carried to the elevator.

*Blink* *Blink*

Just throwing this out there, the reason for mist energy is to travel the clockworks and play the game for free, so the idea of refunding people is just like, why? Secondly, even if the majority of SK users buy CE, OOO has said that they will not supply the public with any in game item for free, including CE. But anyways, about this thread, there was a time when I thought they were dumb, and to an extent, I still do. But honestly, just asking then to "Fix them" is dumb. If you know what you want to fix, then ask them to fix that part. Ask for more money, ask to remove them, etc. Also, as with many aspects of the game (not that it's done really well, or anything) the point of the safe sign, and then enemies is to give starting players a challenge. They don't know the little buggers are coming, so they don't prepare. It's (supposed to be) a complete surprise, relating to the fact that we really don't know everything about Cradle. And lastly, I agree with Skold in the first reply....

If you don't have time....
