Here's a question for you:
Why aren't you or the other developers responding to the player community? There's a single post here or there by nick that doesn't satisfy anyone, and you aren't posting much either, given that you're the "Community Manager".
I nor anyone else here expects personal responses to every post we make, but for goodness sake's, you guys dumped a terrible and bug riddled patch on us, and you say nothing. There's no way I'm going to continue to buy CE when I can't even play the game due to lag, and I still can't see the Auction House. For those that have the patch working as intended it's still terrible.
Look, do you want our money or not? It doesn't take that much effort to directly address well written concerns.
I don't see what's so difficult about this.

Very well, tomorrow afternoon there will be peanutbutter cheesecake with chocolate frosting. It tastes like a decadent peanutbutter cup. Pop by my place for a slice (first come first serve).
You know, I don't mind the patch. I kind of like it. I just hope that opinion isn't entirely drowned out by loud complaints.

i'm with ya on that one. The patch might've screwed with the game for a lot of people, but I don't really feel like it affected me all that much... My opinion will probably change once I hit T3, but until then, I'm still playing.
Will PvP ever be implemented again? Are you guys thinking/working on it?

I betcha he knows. On top of that, I'm sure they're all aware of who "he" is and so you can simply say Ian if you wanted.

Thanks for the posts so far tonight. I've been seeing you in a bunch of threads, and it's really awesome.
I may not be your favoritest person, given that I'm one of the folks that's been pretty rough on your recent work, and spend way too much time on the forums (when the decent computer is in use by the lady here, which is half the time, I keep the forums open in a tab on my netbook).
But, man: I love your game. Keep it coming.

Clearly, I must try to be a little less repetitive in future. You must have read me nattering on about materials sinks and the like a gazillion times by now.
It comes up a lot, so you guys must be on to something! I'm very keen on new material and crown sinks for the game. There's a couple we know we want to do and there's likely a couple that will materialize if I read a gazillion or two more suggestions :)
Is there a working release date for the pvp? How much (a rough guess) more time will pvp need before it's ready?
We have an internal release date for PVP, but I can't share that just yet. You can expect to hear something about it in the near future though. I'm actually curious just how much interest there is for it. Most people aren't that competitive in a by-default PVE environment. So the challenge there is to make PVP games that you believe everyone would play.
May I suggest team pvp? We could have capture the flag or guild vs guild brawls, amongst other things. Or perhaps a version of pvp where you start off with the armor you choose, but can pick up weapons. That would be fun.

1) I would enjoy PvP.
2) Lots of depth allowing for many different strategies and counter-strategies is what I prefer.
3) I've been playing networked games going all the way back to Doom then Quake. Battlefield 2 was the first team-based game which I found simply incredible. Between the two styles, I prefer the team play, be it team deathmatch or capture the flag. It is important in team battles that individuals can fulfill different roles rather than just being a button masher for everyone.
If you could design a weapon or an armor set, what would it look like? What would the name be? What kind of damage would it do/protect against?
I hate to "pimp" my own suggestion, buuuuuuuut

Oh cool, have you worked with any recognizable players then?
Oh and another question that you probably don't have to answer, but anyone going to do anything about the partying mess now? People are pretty much stuck together in parties now whether you like those people or not, otherwise you have to return to haven even if you're a party leader.
