heck ull probably lose 30% of ur players in the first 2 weeks of this update.

This sucks
To anyone who has not become endgame ready. I feel for you. The costs to raise yourslf into the elite has become astronomical.
Why do you ask? Well the reason is called greed. Three rings and Sega exist to make profit. They exist to make profit despite the recession that America is facing. In fact they are in league with OPEC.
What does this mean you ask? The creators of this game wish to live in lavish houses, and have hawt barely legal girl toys. So they are doing this to you. If you grind runs to make CE, you will have to now do t3 runs. If you do not have t3 gear, your only option is to give money to Sega/Three Rings.
Dont believe me?
The only way to get gear level 4 gear is to bind and then level up 3 star items. Which means the market for equipment does not exceed 3 star. You will NOT be seeing amazing 5 star items. You will NOT be seeing amazing 4 star items in your auction house. Why? Again the greed of three rings. You will be forced to buy recipes, which means grinding or selling CE (more money for S/OOO) You will then be forced to level your own equipment, and because any level below t3 is no longer self sustaining you will be forced to buy more CE.
In the fires of Mordor there was not a single ring forged to rule them all. In fact SEGA-ron forged three. Three rings to rule them all and in the darkness make them cry. Cry and shed tears of anguish. How many young children will now have to argue with their parents to get in game CE. How many tears will the 000 rings cause? Only Frodo can answer that. In closing, my suggestion to all of you, buy water based instead of petroleum based. You will need it.

Sounds legit, but I have over 9000 guild members who are quitting.
The only bad thing about this update is that only a small percentage of the people who are raging and threatening to quit will actually leave.

...I don't believe this update was very well thought out. Unless it was thought out to make people pay money. I mean, two hundred (twice the previous amount) CE for a three-star item? That's a bit ridiculous, since you now need Crystal energy to craft a three-star item. But wait! You can buy the CE from the mark- oh wait, the price is rapidly increasing due to a massive demand for energy and even /less/ demand for crowns than before!
Okay, maybe you can't craft that piece of armor. Maybe you can pay someone to- nope, now items that require a leveled up item to craft can't be traded, even when bound.
So, here are our options: pay (and you'll need to if you want to have anything above three stars, and therefore, get into T3), or grind, a lot.
...yeah, I'm not dealing with that.

yep, the update really sucks.
besides your problems (which are bad as well, the "give items to others so they can upgrade them" wasn't something I thought about, but yeah that's bad for all who did that and couldn't finish it yet)
My problem is, that I've just learned my Silversix recipe to easily see what mats I've got. This was about 10 minutes before the Update happened.
I didn't upgraded my Silversix as well because I was waiting for lower CE prices (yep I need my money :D)
That means that I didn't got the difference between the old recipe price and the new one AND have to spend double energy to craft my FRIST item with this recipe. That just sucks (and is unfair in any mean)
The other thing is, that I'm far behind my friends, they are playin' Tier 3 for a week or so (and got 5 stars already), and I can't go Tier 3 with them (but wanted to upgrade my Antigua tomorrow so I can play with them)
So this update can also split friends who want to play together because there is no way to reach them once u are behind them.
So at least give me the difference between the old Silversix price and the new one or (better) let me craft my Silversix for the old energy costs :(
PS: my English isn't that good at all, I know :D But I hope u understand me ;)

ah and pls add a "frame limiter" (or what ever) to the game so it doesn't use 100% CPU anymore (or 50% or 25% depends on how much CPU Cores u got)
No one needs more than 60 FPS! And no one needs to waste money (real money) for energy costs that are caused by a game which means to use all CPU for nothing (wasting CPU cycles is also a bad idea for Notebook users...)
It also slows down the PC and is a bad idea anyway

Which runs are self sustaining
T2 Jelly runs nets you about 6k cr from start to finish
T3 FSC without Dule nets you about 9k.
Currently energy prices to buy 100 ce is 5071. WHat does this mean?
With the update being minutes old, I have no doubt that energy prices will spike @ around 6500 cr. If you are NOT endgame capable you will begin to need to buy CE. T3 return in CR will be around what a preupdate jelly run is. For anyone who is not capable of t3 runs, Sega and Three rings has now forced you to buy CE. The game is now only free for 1 hour a day.
So what happens next?
Anyone who runs t1 and t2 has been screwed. With the costs to craft so much higher, it takes these players so much longer to get endgame ready. Increasing the time it takes to allow someone to become endgame ready, only means one thing. More profit for Sega/OOO. Not only does it increase profits for them, it keeps players in t1/t2 longer that updates with new and interesting content no longer needs to be as fast.

I'm not pissed, but I am extremely disappointed that such a drastic change was made without any notice at all. I have a 10Heat Ascended Calibur that I was going to Craft into a Leviathan Blade today. It is now utterly useless to me, the CE that I used on it utterly wasted... because I already HAVE a personal Leviathan Blade. Likewise for a number of other items that I was heating for eventual sale. All that effort, completely and utterly wasted, now just a useless lump in my inventory.

It's more catchy and I don't think there's a person that likes every aspect of this update. Three Rings went a bit too far today.

I won't be playing as much as I used to now. Like most people said, the economy for 4* and 5* equips is dead. This isn't the biggest problem about it though. Good chunk of why people buy Crystal Energy with cash is to buy 4*/5* equips. Therefore, with them being non tradable, there will be a lot less people buying with real cash. 800 CE to craft a 5*? 400 for a 4*? 200 for a 3*? REALLY?!?... By the way, during the 5 - 10 minutes that I was online, CE buying prices rose a good 400 crowns from the price before the update. What is the point of raising the crafting prices? It will only turn off more newbies even more than how it was before. Buying crystal energy is now almost useless besides doing dungeon runs and crafting. WELL WHOOP - DEE - DOO. If you took out the rule of bounded equips when crafting before/after, I wouldn't be as pissed off compared to now.

That bump was a bit unnecessary.
Anyway, I'd like to remind everyone that it's a good idea to keep things civil if you want your voice taken seriously if someone from Three Rings reads everything.
That being said, Spiral Knights just became a bit closer to "Pay to unlock this content" in the form of a huge grinding barrier to get to T3. That's what saddens me most. :c I can't trade to get into T3 anymore either.

Okay seriously OOO? What players needed was a crown sink, to increase demand for crowns. Not a lowering of crown demand IN ADDITION to a GARGANTUAL spike in CE demand.

I was leveling gear for in-guild competitions, what am I supposed to do with a fiery-atomizer/ash of agni, Divine avenger, and Gran faust that we going to be made after leveling the items WHEN I ALREADY HAVE THEM. Give us a week at least so that we didn't waste mats and ce making gear that does us Literally no good... I understand not having full disclosure but this was a HUGE FU to the playerbase who could have leveled and traded/given that gear with a little forewarning.
