The Future of Spiral Knights
Forge was ok for me, it isn't great and worse than the old system, but it's worth of the changes.
New crafting was good, the problem was the farmmode(elitemode) wich made the droprate go down to 0.00000... for new players.
The supply depot sale was ok, sure some people got mad because of it, but that's how the vanity items work.
the new ce price was rather good, it allows the people to get ce without having a 8k price all the time.
I didn't like the multiplayer reviving remove and that the drops are different for everyone(it would be a lot better if the drops are server side and not client side, so everyone gets orbs)
@Cirno
If you have to say "You've been trolled" It means that you weren't trolling and you just realized you made an enormous idiot of yourself.
If I were to bring back or change 3 thing in order to improve sk they would be:
1) Bring back the shared loot for crowns and heat (it's a little annoying to having people running around to make sure they get there cr and heat it makes it easier if one pick up for all, I feel that this actually discourages players from forming a party) mat should be like hearts the only thing you have to pick for your self.
2) Bring back health revives, lets be honest some people die a lot, could be a bad day or lag but sparks of life as the only way to revive hurts. Sometimes a party member dies alot and the only way we can rev them is via spark of life which is not always appealing especially when the threat is gone. This is how the game used to work if you have a party of 4 the enemies have about twice the health but you 4 time the man power, because of the increase in hp you are likely to take more of a beating than usual and are more likely to die but the plus side to that was that your team members could revive you with some health and you get to choose when to get back. This was great, it gave many advantages to forming a party with friends or with strangers. The new system does the exact opposite if you are forming a party with random players. Personally I now always go to the clockworks solo unless a friend or guild member want to tag along. I didn't mind reviving others before, heck if need heat I wanted the other party members to die, but now its different that party member now costs a spark of life, not half of my health which I can find heart to refill, not 10 mist energy which I will get back in about 2 hours, no it cost a spark of life which drop depending on how lucky you are. I feel bad not being able to help a downs party members or when have to second think it. But I have a second problem with the inconvenience of reviving a party via Sol
Lets take the following hypothetical situation:
You and a friend are doing a beast/status themed tier 3 arena and you and in the third and final part. You bring piercing defense along with shadow and pierce type weapons because a beast arena consist of mainly beasts, some jellies (mainly turrets), maybe a few gremlins and lumbers on the side for two and half segments of the arena. except for the last wave which WILL consist of 2 menders 4-8 beasts and 12 gremlins (demo or thwacker) or 12 mecha-knights. You have 4 bars of health, your friend dies right before the final wave which turns out to be those mecha-knights so you begin kiting. Your shadow weapon is the only reasonable thing to use
which if it is a night blade, gran faust the charge attack for the most part will be negated because it a counts as a projectile.
This is how it would have to play out when we had revives:
You kite a few times around spamming your shadow attack to no avail and since killing the mender is risky because you pretty much a one hit kill with elemental damage so you decide to kite around on more time rev you friend with half you health and fight together and if done well you get out of there without using SoL. This can be done without words which was part of the beauty of it.
How it has to be done NOW!:
you kit around a few time struggle to beat this with out dying in order preserve a good amount SoLs, you're not taking damage but you're dealing less damage than the menders are healing after a few min your friend tells you he is completely out Sols and can't help you. Since your are kind person you decide to revive your friend using one of your own SoLs and thus follow the 3 step reviving procedure in closed area full of enemies.
Step One: click on your friend name and come to a COMPLETE STOP O.O
Step Two: click the revive tab
Step Three: Take an a large amount of damage or in this case DIE!
In the arena or any closed area with a swarm of enemies reviving someone when you're the last one alive is extremely absurd because and AI no matter how bad it is loves a target that doesn't move.
Moving on
3) Give Alpha wolvers back there homing bite for at least tier 3
...Why was this moved to suggestions? o.O
In my opinion, the forge isn't the best thing ever... I mean, I came back 4 weeks ago (month ago~) and... I found that.
I wasn't really happy. However:
Don't bring back the Mist Energy. The possibility to do alot of runs in a day is reallyyy good, especially for starters.
@Lord-Bacon-Eater
Cutie, why are ye talking to people in hazmat suits? They're so dark inside them. :l
seems that GMs are listening to this thing. please no don't.
@Amnimonus:
1 alt drag, away! besides, now you care much more about loot, and that's the imporant thing.
2 a) if you don't have the ER by the time you reach the third arena you shouldn't do it. b) beast arenas spawn gremiln demos on the last wave, not mecha knights. I don't know if it's better or worse. c) now death means something. that's a good thing. before you could revive 6 times before death meant something. d) you forgot, after the steps you mentioned, that your teammate goes berserk for some secs, and he does an energy blast. so he could kill everybody.
3 all enemies AI must be reverted, but add a toggle.
>bad grammar
Wut.
Also, you've just been trolled :D
