Just wasted 50+ minutes in fsc to noobs who all quit by the 4th depth. They asked me to bomb so I didn't bring blitz so now i cant even solo it. Also what happened to soloing rooms on the 2nd depth? Why are people spending almost a half hour to clear that floor? There should be an ingame blacklist so we know who not to party with.

If the party says elite the randoms should be elite. Simple enough reallty... The problem is there is no penalty for quitting whenever you want. If you quit a mission in the middle you shouldn't be able to repeat that mission until the next day. What annoys me is when i got back to haven I saw one of the people in my party in the mission lobby for another fsc.

'Tis true. You should know what you're doing if you're playing Elite.
At the same time, though, give a little grace. Someone could just be tired, out of it, or having a really bad day, and make reckless decisions because of it. Or they might have done well in Normal and Advanced and want to practice Elite. Don't make their day worse by yelling "OMG U NOOB STOP RUNNING INTO BULLETS!" Also be aware of WHO is to blame; if you saw the bomb plain as day near the explosive block, you shouldn't have gone near the explosive block, and it doesn't matter how much damage you did, you shouldn't have gone near the explosive block.
Now, if they're really bad, you might want to, as politely as possible, tell them to get a little more practice before trying another Elite run. And if they're purposely griefing, kick them out and tell them not to let the spikes hit them on the way out.

Fair enough if they want to play on Normal - it's there for everyone.
/r Topic: Fighting on a difficulty one isn't ready for isn't recommended, but I say give 'em a chance: if they're having difficulty, just tell 'em politely to go on an easier difficulty until they're ready. Whether they do or don't is up to them, and it may not be their fault that they're getting their hides tanned, but for the most part, I'd guess they're fighting on Elite to better themselves, although it's more likely because they want loot. It's not like the game rewards players for being Normal mode Scrublords.

I don't gear to solo vana when i'm in a party support bombing, I can do the first four depths fine without a blitz (did you read the first post either?). Please enlighten me of a video of you bombing vana with shiv, ev, vt, and dcb while wearing chaos with a swiftstrike buckler.

I think it is possible to solo Vana with that Loadout (I had to check the wiki for the Electron and Deadly Crystal - fragging acronyms), but I don't think it's a good idea. That said, I won't stop anyone who'd do a video of them trying to beat Vana with that Loadout.

Funny thing. Back when I was
Funny thing. Back when I was a noob on FSC, I was willing to join randoms, since they would carry me. Now that I've gotten pretty good at it, I find I'm reluctant to play FSC because I might be dealing with scrubs.
The thing is, it isn't always evident you're playing with scrubs until you reach Vana (although there are clues based on how they deal with earlier levels).
Once you reach Vana though, that's when it can get frustrating. Especially now, you want to beat Vana, because of the rewards you get once you do.
I find a simple question just prior to Vana can help you determine whether or not you should spend sparks of life if you happen to die on Vana. Just ask "Who wants to do water?". If anybody says "We all water" or someone offers to water "As well" after you already determined the water boy, then that guy's probably a scrub. Then there's the issue when someone suggest that there be a specific Slag Killer (especially if you have a Shiver Bomber).
I realize there are many ways of beating Vana. But I find that more often than not, when players say certain things before a Vana fight, then they're probably not that experienced against Vana. Which means they'll do "foolish" things, like stand in front of Vana, prompting Vana to attack. Or "Stealing" the water from the waterboy. Or not supporting the shiver bomber (assuming you're playing with one).
Of course, this is all par for the course when you're playing a MMO.
As for the whole Elite thing, I actually find it's not all that different from the old days. The Slags take a bit more to kill, but they've always been able to take a hit or two. The big difference now is not being able to OHKO the Trojans. Although with all the new skills at our disposal, I guess that's a reasonable trade off.
Dont party with randoms? Simple enough really...
