Don't believe me? Here's a few screenshots in high detail with a CW's gear at a few different rotated angles:

If you run in high detail 24/7 with flawless frame-rate and look closely, You can see little gears in the holes and 3 connected hexagons that look like faded skydome pieces in Decon Zones. Maybe even that long truss beam that goes by.

I'm pretty sure there is a thread similar to this, though I can't remember nor find it, but I think it also said something about Gremlin Scorchers welding skydome pieces together, which I also noticed in Aurora Isles/Jigsaw Valley levels. But that's a different story.

Are Gremlins really the true creators of the Clockworks? Why do they come for our faces when they see us? Where did they originally come from? What is their intention of building the CW's if they might be the true creators? Why is there scorchers welding sky pieces together? How does the skydome rotate? Or is it the level rotating and everything is stuck on it with its own gravity? Why are you still reading these questions? Is this Nick's #10? POST YOUR THOUGHTS!

What's a geo-globe? I don't remember it being mentioned in the game...

If you look at Clockworks gears, you'll sometimes see cranes on them carrying disc-like things. Those are the Geo-Globes. They're also mentioned in the descriptions of the Apprentice/Squire missions (Like the 2-1 missions). They're also inserted into gears (those rings of light) and they alledgedly contain accessable levels in them.

EDIT: Geo-Globes were mentioned in the rank 2-1 missions before the battle sprites were released, and unfortunately those missions have been replaced with battle sprite missions. But what I said about them being inserted into gears and being lifted on cranes still holds true.

Here's a closup image taken in spiral spy:

Note that some of the image is warped due to the way the skybox rendering effect works.

Huh, Hexzyle's post makes it look more like they are just empty slots... kind of like there are sometimes 3 or 2 levels in slots rather than all 5?

Well, yeah. If you look at the gate map for an arcade stratum, there are a lot of depths with less than 5 possible levels.

Yeah... and there aren't Decon zones slotted everywhere :l

Well there sort of are, but not litterally everywhere. :l

All I see is a bunch of....

...Clockworks.

Isn't that the whole point? Also this is the OUTSIDE of the "geo-globes". So you can't tell what kind of level it may hide.

You know, I thought it was

You know, I thought it was obvious that Deconstruction Zones were what was left over after Gremlins smash up geo-globes.

@Warp-Master

They pretty much are. Deconstruction Zones are basically Aurora isles and all that jazz with the paint removed off the walls of the globe
