What overrides the other?

I have a question regarding offense vs. Defense

1) A Dread Skelly Recon hits a non-UVed skolver striker. (Base dmg BTB vs. Normal Skolver). Lets call this dmg A.

2) A Snarbo Striker hits a non-uved skolve. (MAX dmg BTB vs. Normal skolver). Lets call this dmg B.

3) A Snarbo striker hits a skolver who has MAX piercing on each piece. Lets call this dmg C.

4) A Snarbo striker hits a skolver who has MAX piercing on one piece and no UVs on the other. This is dmg D.

What one would result in the most dmg?

Dmg B would be the highest, naturally. But after that, would dmg A be lower than, the same as, or more that dmg C? And if it is lower, is it greater than dmg D?

I am trying to find out what amount of defense is equivalent to an offense buff.

Is it 2 points of defense (medium piercing on one piece, or low on both) that is equal to 2 points of offense buff (striker class dread skelly)?

What is the ratio of dmg bonuses to defense bonuses? If possible, I would like to know in numbers. (For example, 6 points of defense equals 3 points of offense). Something like that. (Yes I know this should be in coliseum, but sorta applies to pve? Maybe?)

Oh yeah, I dont think it

Oh yeah, I dont think it matters, but this would be interesting to find out both with armors that naturally have piercing defense and those wit

Also, I will put the above scenarios in numerical terms if it helps.

Damage A: 0 (base) attack vs O (base) defense
Damage B: 6 attack (max) vs 0 defense (base)
Damage 3: 6 attack vs. 12 defense (max on each piece)
Damage D: 6 attack vs. 6 defense (6 on one piece only).

What ratio of attack:defense would result in the same damage dealt as a 0 attack BTB (Dread Skelly as recon) vs. A 0 defense skolver (No uvs).

Basically, say the dread skelly recon with BTB does 200 dmg against skolver. What attack:defense ratio would still result in the BTB doing 200 dmg? Would it be med sword attack bonus (2) vs 2 medium piercing defense UVs (4?) <- just an example

If any clarification is needed, let me know! I suck at explanations

Have you tried the topic directly below this one?

Also see killbotxtreme's topic.

1) 335 damage
2) 290 damage
3) ehhh 242-ish damage? killbot's topic lists damage against a low UV, and that's reduced by 6 compared to without the UV. It'll definitely be no less than 240.
4) about 270 damage?

Math. How does it work?

How do those numbers translate to a real scenario? Is the difference between 290-250 enough to say the later needs an extra hit to kill an average knight?

@Juances

1 pip = 41 damage. If we assume a dual penta-heart striker (I think that's 20 pips?), that's 820 health.

820 / 290 = 2.8 hits.

820 / 250 = 3.28 hits.

That's an affirmitive. 4 hits rather than 3.

Also I edited my previous post. I was fudging numbers. And might still be!
