I took one look at the post, gave -9,999,999,999,999 just because of HORRID spelling and capitalization.

I've tried to get shotguns implented in various ways numerous times, each time finding the most balanced way possible to create said type of shotgun. Shotguns are just generally a bad idea in games which are dungeon-crawlers, yet have a multiplayer arena mode. The item gets created for the dungeons and is fairly balanced there, but it either sucks or wrecks in the arena.
A shotgun is like directly mashing a Callahan and Blitz Needle together.

Oh, it'll suck for PvP most likely, just like the Blitz Needle does. All pellets fired at once + invinci frames means you'll only hit them with one pellet each burst - a higher chance to hit them than with most weapons given the spread, but since the gun will be balanced to assume high number of pellets hitting in PvE, it'll do gimp damage in PvP. That's not a big deal though.
If we're going to have shotguns, I want to play as a fat scout. Tanking it with a shotgun should be fun. :>
