we also have the big iron as another construct and maulos as fiend. besides, vana is not a fiend. fiend UVs don't work on him, and his defenses are unique.

I figured it out:

The fight starts against a 'construct' but after fighting his first phase, it reveals it was actually a gremlin on a mecha suit.
Then, when he takes enough damage, he injects a mutagenic to turn into a beast. The beast later becomes evil and becomes a fiend. We finally kill it, but it returns as undead. We burn it, but the ashes merge with some sticky substance on the floor and turn into a slime.

Multi-family boss. Is everyone happy now?

What makes you say 2014? I think that the arcade redux will probably be implemented after the Dark Harvest Festival since Nick said it'll take several updates to do. Since events take a few updates to change and then remove things before and after, it would be a wise assumption. Besides, that's a pretty safe assumption since it'll be nearly two months at that point since this announcement. The boss probably wouldn't be until after January though.

He didn't say on here it'll take THAT long. Unlike the Battlespirtes where he did say back This January they'll be out the first half of this year and they were. Granted it didn't take PRECISELY this Jun for them to be released, but still. It's around that's range. Not in the center, but somewhere in it. so... Don't jump to conclusions just yet.

Several UPDATES. Unless you're talking about this:

I'm talking about the allotted time that would pass between this announcement and the end of the Dark Harvest Festival.

What do you consider as the release date on this thread? The date it starts or the date the last part gets implemented?

Both of you are probably right. Nick will release something in october-november, but all the features this thread promises might not be completed until 2014.

I consider when it was first posted. I know that a lot of these things wont be implemented until much later, I was just saying that the Arcade Redux would be implemented sometime after the Dark Harvest Festival at the earliest. I wouldn't expect the mission campaign to be added anytime before January or February. The new co-op thing though, that MIGHT also be put in with the Arcade Redux, but I wouldn't count on it. This certainly is a tall order for the devs though. A lot of people are really looking forward to this, especially its older players, but you can't rush these things unless you want another Sonic 06 on your hands x_x

they have prepared the BS update, biggest update in history, in 7 months. these will be several updates that will change the rest of the things (exept PvP, apparently). I would go for december on. at the earliest.
can someone tell how much they worked on the other bosses if that one can? so we can have a comparason.
someone must start a contest like the one some had with the BS update. who gets the colsest day wins, you know.
nepe, please don't remember me of that game again. it never existed.

Actually, that's not a bad idea about the contest. We'd just need to find some really rich player who's willing to shell out their pockets for it, hehe.
Anyways, I wouldn't know about when the other bosses were added. We could go through the Announcement subforum and look through those posts.

the posts on announcement tell me only when they were released. I would like to know how much time did it take to the release. I search for either previous announcements (that would have been done here in GD, so there is a lot of work to find out) or intel took with Spiral Spy.

tweeter, sonic 06 was full of bugs, story is good-ish until the last chapter for which I dug up a hole for whoever got that idea for the finale, also characters were highly unbalanced.

Well, getting off topic now, are we? Hmm??

Seriously, though, some of you may need to stick to the forum's topic. This isn't a place to repeat any unsatisfied experiences with that game. Please, talk about it somewhere else. Therefore, we need to get back on topic, so any chatter about that game is completely not necessary.

None of you Knights even know how long it's going to be before the new tier 3 boss, renovating Arcade experience, new Rank Missions, Challenge Mode, or any of the above, are released. Just because you think it's releases are going to be farther than any of you thought doesn't mean it has to be. It's all up to Three Rings to do their announcing when they're making the new content they've already announced or not yet, even if we all get a little or a lot of anticipation inside of our hearts and minds. Don't rush them. Let them do their announcing at their own pace.

Also, sorry if I'm going off-topic for this, but, for the record, that game was one of SEGA's experimentations into HD gaming back then, and it's results were... oh, how shall I put this delicately... much unsatisfactory than many had hoped due to their much unnecessary rushing and struggling complications from the company, and so on. This is not the time to talk, nor relive about it, anyway. But the point is, they've learned from their mistakes since then, and are still getting better as time went on. SEGA was only learning and trying out new things and they're still trying their best. They may make some mistakes now and then, but they'll always pull through and live through it.

on topic, we are not rushing OOO on anything, we don't expect updates often due to the little dev number we have. betting on when it will be posticipating dates doesn't hurry anybody, we are setting dates way in the future.
off topic, I have played SG and it's fantastic, and SU too (went halfway through before my friend's PS3 fused), so I know that was a sort of testplay. in fact, yes, we went a bit off topic for answering one question.
and don't out thing delicately on that game, we know SEGA knows they have made mistakes.

No. OOO has a small team of devs. So the update is unlikely to happen right after the danger times event.

We do have evidence. Look at every update.
It was
(a) not wanted
(b) half-baked
(c) released late
(d) released on time, well thought out, wanted

D is in the minority, at the moment.
Every once in a while OOO will come out with a good update, but most of the time it took forever or another reboot is needed shortly because of game-breaking bugs and/or they just fail to fix bugs and they're there for a long period of time (cough Lockdown loadouts).
And then there's the previous update where there was some good and bad, but mostly bad.
(note: I know we need the Forging system for elevators to be free, but i'd rather elevators cost 10ME/CE and have 100 ME a day then spend days and weeks and months and years Forging. Removing health-revives/universal crown pickups hurt the game too.

You need to give us these thread or the community will start raging and people will start quitting if they think there's no new content, and I am glad you give us something to look forward to, but at the same time I doubt it'll be anytime soon, so it's kind of a lose-lose situation.

My theories

well.. first off. i have several theories as to whom the new boss will be.

1)It will be a gremlin.
this may sound far fetched but ill show my evidence.now according to the information currently available to us cradle is a kind of prison in which the clockworks is a defense system. it was built by king Tinkinzar (hope i spelled it correctly xD) to hold what ever is inside the core. we knights are trying to pry it open in hopes of getting our alpha squad back. naturally any warden will stop whoever is trying to escape(or in this case who ever is trying to help the prisoner escape).so i guess king Tinkinzar or the crimson order under his command wil try to stop us.Nick said it will be a primary antagonist so i guess this sounds good.

2)It will be a swarm.
this was my first theory (and there is such a type. all veterans and pros know that).this will a part of/whole thing which resides in the core.we are exploring the core and how to enter it and whoever is inside might escape in our attempt to open the core.this creature would be very strong .he is literary the source of all energy in cradle!! if he escapes then our mission would be to stop it. it was our primary mission to open the core so naturally the creature wold be our primary antagonist.

3)It will be a no-type
yes!! now this is awkward but probable. this aint gonna be a shankle or wisp.but the ALPHA SQUAD itself!!.there is currently no genre which this would fit so it will be no-type.it is practical.think of it, our best members go missing and enters the core u have seen what it does to monsters. it infests them with swarm.and they become corrupted.my guess if the same fate awaited the alpha squad and now they are a corrupted team of our finest knights seeking to destroy all spiral knights and help to free the creature inside the core who is the source of the swarm.our sole mission was to discover the fate of the alpha squad now well know as they've turned evil!!
So those are my theories. Negative out!!!!!!!!!

1 nick said it will be a new antagonist. gremlins are our current one, so it can't be.
2 well, yes, could be. but that would require open the core, so no.
3 we haven't seen the core yet. we've never been in there. you actually refer to the swarm, which is not the core. more similar to the description of parma is the sanctuary, but since we go down to get to the core entrance we know, it's still not the core.

1.gremlins werent our sworn enemies they were just showing hostility towards us aliens.we were the ones trying to destroy thier weapons (on missions).but yeah this is a bit unprobable.its just a "theory"

2.yeah but what if dude?!!! we are working day and night trying to bust open this tin can.somethings gonna happen

3.what if the swarm phenomenon is caused due to the creature inside the core? it matches the description.its a dark energy and ALL energy comes from the core.anyways i agree. yeah the team got infested with swarm and became corrupted.

in the end im not a phropet and these are just theories.u gotta open ur mind to posibilities!!!! :D

I've opened my mind enough to get my own lore.
core opening makes the game end, so it's a no-go. or it makes us land to another planet which will arise the same problems we have here in 6 months.
