Every time someone turns on the water in the Vs Razwog and Compound 42 missions, the sizzling steam from doused shadow-fire tiles makes another cloud :)
Cradle cloud conspiracy
"Where'd you hear this? Because according to my Chem 122 class, there is the "Law of Constant Composition" (Or the Law of Definite Proportions), which basically says that H2O will always be H2O, and always react the same way as H2O, regardless of where you find it. The H2O on Mars will act the same as the H2O on Earth."
I think they're probably thinking about water with different isotopes in its chemical makeup, (ex: Heavy Water has hydrogen isotopes in it that are heavier than normal). As I recall scientists can tell a lot about water based on the isotopes present in it and the ratio of different isotopes. (age and origin at least)
Although I have no idea how water isotopes are relevant to the discussion of water being on cradle, or more water related things appearing on cradle either.
A better use of our time would be having a good hard look at this diagram and figuring out how the hell Cradle performs these functions. THEN we can talk about the chemical compositions of clouds.
P.S. Hydrogen Peroxide (an oxidizer that can be used as a propellant) reacts with Ozone to form water at temperatures above -120*C. Chemical run-off anyone?
Are you asking where the water that melts from all that ice goes before it evaporates into clouds?
Down into the swamps of course: http://forums.spiralknights.com/en/node/90468
RE: The-Worst-Knight
Currently that is the only thing we have that comes close to Cradle. So we must draw similarities until the point comes that we are proved wrong, or we must admit that our theories are wrong. Or I need to explain what I was talking about. It's probably the latter.
So; How did the clouds form and where do they go? The image I linked shows how this happens on earth; by drawing parallels and making up ideas that mirror those methods we may figure out where the hell all this water comes from.
So far I can see that due to the lack of (visible) oceans that all the water that make the clouds must come from evaporation. Or volcanic steam (read: Gremlin factories). The main problem is how this water is returned back to Cradle and where (if it evens does) precipitate. We have at least one area that we know has rainfall. Is it the only one? Of course not! Do you not see how the rain falls in the backdrop of some Clockwork levels? But how does the water return once it has fallen is the real question.
Firstly, rain falls in way more than just that one mission. Don't you play wolver dens?
Secondly, all locations where rainfall occurs are Skydomes, so it's obvious how the water returns.

Take some jelly. Take some fish. Look at that sandwich, delish. Just make sure you dont eat a real jelly fish.

dat top gear reference. (post #50)
and dat julian smith reference.
Also tortos are constructs, they probably wouldn't work underwater...

I was stun by one when I was 6 D:
@Post
Well...I don't see why everyone is going "asdfghjkl" over the fact that there are clouds outside of the atmosphere, when it's possible to have floating platforms supported only by an elevator beam :P
Hex, you're wrong. Canonically, the graveyard in Blades of the Fallen is built just outside Haven, but the level design is poopy so if you stand at a correct spot in the arena you can see a background. That's probably uncanon. And the elevators are a part of the "poopy" design, too.
So there we have real rain.

So it is.
I wanna have a series of "surface" missions, where you get to explore the surface of Cradle. Maybe there could be another Strange town somewhere out there? Another section of unexplored Clockworks? New monsters? A whole other camp of knights (surely they couldn't have ALL ended up at the rescue camp...)?
Guys? any ideas on when having the dark harvest festival begin?
I will say its on november am i right guys?wish there will be a patch for pumpkin boss >_<
Agreed. I've always wondered what was on Cradle's surface. Laser beam cannons? Awesome gear conveniently stored in escape pods? Gremlin Villages? (They all can't live in the clockworks!) The creatures that turned into the zombies we see in the clockworks? Dihydrogen Monoxide...?
Any number of these things could happen!
I like the water effects in the Crash in Cradle ro what ever mission that one is. You get bird view of the landscape and the water.
does it have anything to do with Glowclouds in haven?
