The past few HoH posts have been pretty crazy. There were a lot of people that were really passionate about both for and against. To be honest how, I'm not sure anymore what the best decision is. Until the arcade eventually gets it's revamp a long time from now, none of us can agree on a long term solution since a whole new system may eventually come.

Here's a link to our arguments. As in debate arguments.

-So how about the now? It was really interesting to me that the main reason against the recent HoH posts was the fear of merchanting these recipes after they became harder to find. It's a legitimate concern. Mickmane even used himself as an example of how you can take advantage of the difficulty of finding them and getting a lot of money from it. Let's forget about reviving the arcade until after the update.

-Put these recipes in the HoH for now. I see no reason not to, as it would only hurt merchants. The only justification I had seen was that the Boss Tokens and their weapons were supposed to be more challenging to get. But why not make the only trial the initial grind for tokens? I'm looking forward to seeing counter-arguments to this, since I learn something new when I read these posts.

There's the simple option of selling them... at an higer price. Nothing big. +15%

they are rarer because thay are actually a bit more powerful. sealed lines, DBB, idk about BTB, but BTS is the most used shield, then there is pulsar, CoA, catalyzer with some practice.
if brandish was nerfed (and before brandish buff it did actually) DA would be the most used sword. pulsar is already the most used gun. cata needs some love. CoA is the best shield for FSC, and for shadow levels in general since it defends against the most feared statuses. DBB is the best bomb for wolver packs, and flinches gorgos which makes them worthless flying bags.

Blitz is used more than the Polaris and GOS ties with CoA in EFSC.

you mean that for general use blitz is more used than polaris?
well, yeah, Grey owlite is useful for those shadow fires.

Half of blitzers are only FSC farmers.
Polaris is overused everywhere, included LD.

Hmmmm

Basil has always had a very schizophrenic inventory, but the boss tokens do fit his current system better than do the HoH. For example, HoH merchants only sell full lines (while most of Basil's recipes are for items that are uncraftable (boss tokens) or absent from the HoH (statusbreak gear). While some items could probalby be moved over and shared (the scarlet shield would be a fine addition to Archilus's inventory, for example), some don't quite fit in the HoH. And the Basil items are supposed to be challenging to get, both to obtain them and to craft them (and honestly, basil is the most challenging part of getting those items. SK bosses get pretty easy to beat after the first or second run). Lorewise, having Basil (who likely has contacts on both sides) be the main source of items that are derived from the clockworks or from a combination of spiral and clockworks tech makes a lot of sense.

However, I can't really point to any solid reason why Basil's items shouldn't be moved over to the HoH. But I haven't seen any good reasons why they should. Right now, I suspect the biggest factor is what the arcade looks like after the new update, and until we get a good look at Arcade 2.0, it will be hard to determine what changes should be made to the parts of the game that overlap with it.

Mmm... let me throw a random excuse here: Lore based, those gears aren't Spiral-HQ made, that's why Basil is the only one with the recipes.
Of course, Jelly Set is the magical exception. (The mere mention of it makes me go ARGH >:c WHY IT'S A TOKEN REWARD???)

Derp. :3

Quick question...

Why can we not leave the HoH aloooone. I have no problem with it right now. Except for the rarity of boss recipies, but I can live with that.

You guys are really interesting.

Not only do I see different people concerned about this topic, it's an unsure debate again.
I am sorry if some of you are tired of these topics. I was actually just curious this time on the reception of the opposite idea.
As for this change, I don't feel too strongly about it. It's weird hearing some of the arguments being about the challenge because they're better weapons, when before in other posts the satisfaction of challenge were refuted when in regards to removing some recipes because either that didn't matter to them or because they didn't care about the challenge. I think I'll leave this here for a little more and put it away.
