SKYLARK CONFIRMED
At first I thought it was part of a tortodrone, but this... I dunno. I'm having a hard time imagining what the completed picture could look like.
Try looking at it from far away, it fixes the resolution and gives you a scale. The only thing I can think of is either it's a new sprite, gun, or enemy. Oh, or maybe the new boss as a sort of countdown.
It's a butterfly wing. Some sort of cyborg butterfly, but yeah.
It could be a gun, but isn't it funner to say it's the Skylark?
Looks like a weapon. Reminds me a bit of Protoss Psi Blades. However, if you rotate the image 180%, it could just as easily be a gun.
It's the same (or at least similar) background as the profile screen for knights.
Hmm...
I'd say it's a gun.
From the new names we have, assuming this is a gun, could this be the Winter Grave?
it's a submarine, the skylark, a new armor, a new weapon, a new enemy, or a new sprite. yeah, something like that.
EDIT: it could actually be a slingshot too.
hadn has confirmed my theories, it's a double slingshot.
I think they heard about our love for greavers Hadn.
If they have mothra I demand Godzilla!
I still say it's very large and shiny. That's all I need to know.
Can this be found in the game files or something? Or someone on Cradle on the title screen? Please tell me the original source so I can get a good look at this.
Original source is SK facebook or twitter.
The both parts were separate but someone took the liberty to combine them.
So yeah, I want to believe it's the Skylark.
The mystery raw images and your linked image reminded me of this. A more fitting reference, considering the nature of the game.
The words Arvensis(LATIN:FIELD) and Japonica(JAPAN[Latin:Japonia]) are related to the Alauda genus of passerines many called SKYLARK!!!! :P As Capt-Ozlo Implies
From wikipedia:
Eurasian Skylark, Alauda arvensis
Japanese Skylark, Alauda japonica
Oriental Skylark, Alauda gulgula
Raso Lark, Alauda razae
Looks like this has been solved. Good job.
I can't access that image, and the TV Tropes page isn't very much help. For the sake of your point (and since Phantasy Star Online shares many similarities with this game, it may be an accurate one), can you transfer the image to somewhere accessible?
Failing that, I'll continue assuming the Skylark is a crashed super-capital ship.
The Skylark crashed, where did that part of the ship crashed? The WATER?? Probably not, but It's a guaranteed part of SK lore of what happened to those scattered parts. Take on to account the names of the teaser images, maybe somewhere in a field in a place vaguely reminding one of japan?
The image only shows very, very small part of the Skylark, apparently.
You cannot comprehend the whole thing at once.
This is cool :O
So... Skylark remains crashed in water, perhaps?
WINGS OR BOAT OR GUNS FIRST
Choose wisely.
YOUR DIVINE AVENGER ISN'T NEAR AS POWERFUL ENOUGH AGAINST ME
(Why do you destroy us? We are your flesh.)
I hope it is a mechanical Mothra, fiend and construct, maybe?
"KIIIIIRRRREEE!" - Mothra/Giratina
It WOULD be nice to have a Skylark...then we can actually know that.
At the same time, it's nice not knowing about that...it's like a little secret, provoking wonder and curiosity...something that this game is good at doing...
The object resembles the ancient generator a lot, looks like a key to me. A key to what though...the core? nah that would throw everyone off.
It can be ANYTHIN! Think of all the possibilities! Or keep thinking
BTW Autofire: Callahan is Lex c:<
Forget the green thing in the middle, the background looks like the background when you inspect someone, so it could be a new gun. Like also when you hover over a weap in arsenal, it comes up, I think it's a new gun, due to the background.
EDIT: It's definitely the skylark
If we could post spoilers, everyone's speculation that the image is of a gun would be wrecked.
>AROOOGA. AROOOOGA.
Isn't that like the sound of a submarine diving alarm? Submarines confirmed!
Please do state where the original images can be found. This is intriguing.
