I've never really played Pokemon competitively, so that didn't really interest me. I just lost interest in the series because it became way too much of a grind. Without rare candy glitch, and with all sorts of gimmicks to prevent you from "catching them all" like legendaries RUNNING AWAY FROM YOU and all sorts of other silly stuff, it was just too time consuming to enjoy the end-game.

People are saying that X and Y feels like Generation 1 so maybe I'll give it a shot if it ever comes to Wii U, but otherwise... meh.

My intent isn't to get unbanned early or anything silly like that.

My intent is to bring attention to this specific topic and maybe, just maybe, have 000 rethink their policies on banning players in the game for something happening somewhere completely different, on the forums.

back to topic: now that I think about it, if you are a bad forumer, you should be banned from the forum. if talk bad in game as much as you talk bad in the forums, then you should be banned in-game. this situation actually doesn't make sense.

Thunder. Actually you are allowed to curse in-game, as long as when you are cursing you are not insulting anybody to the point of them feeling offended. That's why you can switch the chat filter on and off. However, because the forums lack a chat filter, posting innappropriate words/content are against the ToS. (In the forums.)

If you want to whinge about your mal-informed assumptions of the profanity guidelines, or want to laugh at people who are suspended from the game, make your own thread so you can look like a jerk by yourself.

The current forum engine is very limited, and I'm sure the CMs have better things to do with their time than to renew player's forum access whose suspension period has expired. Since the forums revolve around the game, and the main reason you're here is because of the game, the ingame suspension is sufficient for a forum offence. Also, 99% of players (due to the previous statement) prefer game access to forum access, so it's kind of a "hit them where it hurts" ordeal.
Of course, the "committed forum offense? chill out from the forums and play the game" approach is a far more reasonable one, but we won't see that happening until the web designer gets rid of Drupal and uses something better.

This isn't about accountability. This is about the punishment being unrelated to the "crime". It would be like having a drunk fight at your local pub, and then getting banned from your favorite sandwich shop as a result. You can still walk into your pub and enjoy it no problem, but your favorite sandwich shop won't let you in for a few days.

I've already said I'm willing to take a perma-ban if I violate the rules, but a perma-ban on the forums... not in a completely separate thing, the game.

No, it didn't. It is just going to make me post on an alt account more than likely if I have anything controversial to say. Heck, I can be more controversial, since I know they won't ban the alt account from the forum until several infractions.

I am not sure just how much of a troll you are kamsin, but there are few trolls out there that I hate, Nascarfan is one of them. He swear and gertsuper butt hurt in the forum and he is just as bad in the game, I saw him in Haven. He just didn't care about the filter at all and just starts swearing all over the place, I ignored him instantly without any hesitation.

The thing is, Khamsin, your behaviour on the forum relates directly back to your behaviour in the game, I won't be surprised that Nascarfan, Batabii and mighty-potato are already banned permanently from the game, these three trolls have been around the forum for as long as I could remember and I am glad to see noone in the forum is feeding them the attention they seeked. (however, feeding some others who are less, let's say, trolly. So I am still abit dissapointed...)

If you think people who trolls and curses should get away, then I think OOO should restrict more on the cursing, there is no reason why anyone should do it in such a wonderful game.

the thing is u would normally have to do something bad enough to justify that and OP didnt mention any details, that were given to him/her, so im just assuming, that whatever information (s)he was given along with his/her ban was unclear and scarce, which mightve left OP baffled trying to figure why (s)he got banned from the game in 1st place

OOO judges on case by case basis and if it wasnt a practical joke or something extreme like that, then we would need all information to be able to fully understand their judgement
and even then things might look different when changing perspectives and they can do mistakes too, in which case OP could send a support mail like suggested by others

I get trolled and bullied on this game all the time and they never get banned! :( And i got mad and unintentionally encouraged them! So i reported them and ignored them. do u guys get bullied 2? People even lie about me and say that they know me in real life! And they said they reported me even tho i am pretty sure i didn't do anything wrong!
Edit: oh no! i didn't realize this was in the graveyard! sorry GM's! i only try 2 make sure no one gets bullied like me so this will stay a good game!(idc if anyone cusses but if they cuss at other people i get mad!)
