Wat? Wat?
That's some of the stupidest **** I've ever heard of. Almost every other game I've played, administration of the forums and the game are two separate things. I almost feel as though I need to make an entirely new account to post if I'm going to get locked out of playing an account that I have spent real money on.
What's worse, I'm not even temp banned from the forums! Just the game! Wat the ****?

Doesn't really seem to make much sense at all. So... I'm still free to commit offenses on the forums (not that I even know what I did, since all I did was get a message saying I violated some forum rule, nothing specific), I just get obstructed from playing the game? I don't really see the logic in that, at all.
I know people who are permabanned from the forums but can still play the game just fine.
Sunday. So basically only losing game time today and tomorrow, although it is kind of annoying that my prime gaming hours are these two days I've locked out of the game.
So you'll probably see a lot more of me around the forums, which again, very counter-intuitive, since I'm supposed to be punished for something I did on the forums.
@klipik I heard 000 lost their web master, so they may only have very limited control of the forums, and so have to take action in-game to discipline forum offenses.
I got a warning and 2 bans via the forums
1) Posting bad words
2) Posting bad words AGAIN
3) Bumping the 9/21/2013 discussion thread?!!?
Plus, one of the bad words bans was on my alt (not Steam), which got a ban on my main on Steam. I think they IP track O.e
My advice: Don't do that.
Send a support ticket if you don't know what you did wrong.
actually, to me, game forum policy should be so in any game. if you are a bad forumer, it's mildly probable that you are speaking like that in game.

P.S: Part of the reason for this might be that Drupal is terrible? Maybe it can't do temp bans.
In the game, It's fine to swear as long as you're not being totally mean to anyone. In the forums you gotta filter it yourself.
It's almost like in home and in public. I can swear at home (though I choose not to), and while I'm in public I refrain from it at all times.
well that's beyond my comprehension. maybe it's because you can't file a support ticket, or maybe just because they want you to rage in the forums so they can permaban you.

To post, you have to login. Can't they flag the account on the database rather than relying on drupal?
To be honest, I think it's just fine. It's not like you're two separate people, one for the forums and another in game (unless you are, in which case you should either get a second account for each, or you should seek help from a professional). Also, I believe the terms of service in game are nearly same as that of the forums, thus if you break one, you break both.

Frankly, this doesn't surprise me the slightest. I go on an on about why, but I'm not going to sham these devs anymore than I already have.
This happened to Fehzor actually a few months back. Apparently there is a list of words that aren't allowed to be used on the forums and she used one that wasn't on that list and got an in game ban from it. Big long discussion thread about it if ya wanna read up on it. Here it is.
EDIT: This is also why no one has heard from Fehzor on the forums since.
To be honest, I'm probably just going to post with an alt account from now on, if this is how 000 handles disciplinary action... just seems unprofessional to ban you in-game for forum activity. No other game I've played handles bans like this.
I just got a warning for censoring myself too. I've just about had it with this game after this stupid update that's pretty much thrown all their work with the Battle Sprites out the window. Unless the DHF or Winterfest event is up, I'm not playing this stupid game anymore. I'll be moving on to more quality-type games like Pokemon or the games that I have stacked up in my Steam library. Pretty much milked this dead cow for all it's worth anyways.

You're talking about the fire crystals right? Yeah.... seems like a big mistake. I may ride both this temp ban and this terrible radiant crystal decision a month or two... Wonderful 101 looks pretty nice, and then next month Super Mario 3D world is landing...
I like Spiral Knights a lot, great level design, great art, fun music, but it seems like in terms of management of the game has been awful, and this is just another straw.
How is pleading your case to us, forumers, gonna help you out?
It would be smarter to PM the GMs before they get ticked off and make your punishment more severe.

You annoyed a lot of people, can't say I'm even moderately surprised.
The Fire Crystals was a good idea to make the gaming experience more drawn out. It's just been executed poorly.
I'm talking about this current one put in that absolutely mocked the Drakon users by not only nerfing them into being no longer useful, but also buffing Seraphynx and Maskeraith to OP level. I'm leaving because we weren't given what we were promised and these devs have just kept lying to our faces about '' new '' content that is to come. I've had it and I'm not taking it sitting down anymore. I'd demand a refund if I didn't think that the energy packs that I had bought didn't go to good use. Ironically, they did go to good use.
... by helping me buy games that are actually worth sinking money into.
I'm logging on right now to settle my debts and part with good guildies.

Nope. I would have taken a perma ban on the forums over a temp ban in the game any day of the week.

2011, although I stopped mid-2012 I guess and resumed about 2.5 months ago. Never even been on GM radar before, now all of a sudden I'm temp banned? Pretty crazy.

Incorrect. When you create an account, you agree to the ToS. That applies to both the game and the forums.
Perhaps the forums doesn't support a temporary ban. Actually, that seems pretty certain.

I say, just roll with the punches. You may not know what you've done, but surely there must be some sign of toxic and ban-worthy behavior somewhere.

Really, the only thing to do at this point is to reconsider your choice of words and overall demeanor, or deal with it. That's up to you.
Sorry, but I agree with Khamsin on this. If you're being held responsible for something you did on the forums, you should be punished on the forums. If it's so detrimental, then it should also be punishable on the forum and in-game.

Maybe once Nintendo decides to do a Pokemon game on Wii U I'll get back into the series, since I haven't played since Gen 2.

Yeah, the rumble games look pretty cool for party style environments, but not a whole lot of depth to them.

Khamsin, Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald is arguably the best generation of the pokemon series. Its villains felt dynamic rather than being simple petty street crime or being completely over-the-top. The pokemon were unique. The game introduced IV's and Natures, which would add a completely new element not just to end-game players, but to competitive players. And the region... Oh my god.... The region is just... B- E- A- UUUUUTEEFUUUULLL.... Personally, I think Kalos is the best generation since the region is even more beautiful, exploration is encouraged more, IV training is no longer ridiculously difficult, you can pet your pokemanz, and you finally get character customization!
But that's just my opinion .3.

Not necessarily. I still have a dragon type on my main team and it's still very reliable! You just have to be cautious with your choices with it now as you would normally with other types.
See 000, THAT'S how you properly balance game mechanics. Learn from example.
As a competitive player, I can speak and say dragons have ran rampant since gen 3. It's about time something changed making them severely weaker without the requirements of having one or a steel type on your team to be good.
