Hexadecimal is a bit different from regular decimal numbers.
I've been studying HTML coding recently (and I must say I love it to death i can remember the compatible tags off the top of my head and type them!), and hexadecimal is a coding value for colors of things. Text, background, etc. It begins with a pound sign (#) and it as a maximum of six (6) digits that are either letters or numbers as a way to code in that color.
Example: #ffcc00 = yellowish-orange
#1f5a18 = Dark green.
TL;DR: Use a pound sign and 6 digits with random numbers and letters to make colors.
