I've been playing for the past few days trying to farm shining crystals but they hardly turn up. I think I've done more depths than the amount of crystals I've gotten. Like I got only 3 shining crystals from a treasure vault once, 0 crystals on an arena depth. For me it's like 1 in 15 treasure boxes that I'll see rarities popping up. I thought this was just me being a bit unlucky but it's been like this for a few days. Anyone else having experiences like this too?

Edit: What is this sorcery!? The moment I post this I get a treasure vault bearing 21 shinings and 9 from a candlestick level. Rates, why you so inconsistent! e.e

Heres an easy to get shinies,

Heres an easy to get shinies, courtesy of OOO.

Speedrun D24 FSC (takes about 3 mins for me). Average of 9 crystals per run. It is anawesome way, since yyou can fully heat a 4* thing in about an hour.

That is currently the fastest way to get shinies. (Elite).

Just make sure you have a gun that can bypass wheels, and a good weapon like WRH or brandish. Then youre all set. Also, you migght find some eternals or SoLs as well.

Rates

I've noticed since the last update, they shifted the rates to be more common from red boxes and less common from green boxes.

I'm not putting a lot of time into the study because I expect more changes with the clockwork redux.
Additionally, you may find it interesting that treasure vaults are extremely more desirable with the different rates - as they contain about 50% red boxes as opposed to ~10% outside them (ignoring post-boss which are only red boxes and post danger areas which are again around 50% red).

Although your 1/15 rate seems a bit low, as I was recording 1/8 for green, and 1/4 for red.

I have not noticed this

I have not noticed any decrease in the drop rate for 3- and 4-star fire crystals. I still get lots of them.

I can't comment on orbs, 5-star fire crystals, or Sparks of Life.

Also...

If you are doing runs in the Copper King Gate T3, dont expect a lot of boxes to open in the first place.
Coral Titan T3 area has better depths in my current "average boxes per depth".

There's a reason I don't like compounds - and its not because they're difficult. It's because they have a really low average number of treasure boxes. Graveyards are the only thing with a worse average than them. The best 3 (as most people would guess) are arenas, treasure vaults, and clockwork tunnels (if you do the 3CE danger area).
