It's that time of the year again! In case you don't already know, I was last year's Secret Santa organizer. This year, there has been some changes to ensure we don't experience any technical difficulties (which we had last year).
What's new:
• This year, I will handle all the pairings and as such will not request your email. Pairings will be sent via mail on the 21st.
• Last year, I organized a Christmas party at the last second. Many people attended but not all. For the record, our Christmas party will be on Christmas later in the day.
• All rules, excluding the requirement of the email, still apply. Look at my old post below.

Greetings Dear Knights,
I know you've been waiting for the spectacular event to come: Secret Santa! For those who don't know what this magical custom is about then let me explain: Secret Santa is a tradition in which members of a group or community are randomly assigned a person to whom they anonymously give a gift. In simple words, it's a gift exchange with people (in this case knights) who you may or may not know. The rules are simple: If you want to receive a gift you must give one. To ensure no one is given a cheap item I will set the minimum value of the item/CR/CE to be 5kCR. Remember it's the thought and creativeness that counts! In the scenario that we have an odd number of people who sign up then I will jump in and be a Secret Santa too. Feel free to sign up (in comments) including your in game name (IGN) and a wishlist! Keep in mind that it's not guaranteed what's listed on your wishlist will be what you get, however, you will get something :D The signups will end on the 21st of this month so be sure to get in here fast. We will be doing our gift exchanges via mail on December 25th (that's Christmas smarts) early in the day.
Shortened Version/Requirements:
• You will need to list your IGN (in game name) and wishlist to sign up
• Your gift needs to be 5kcr or above in value. We encourage creativeness.
• Gifts will be sent out on 25th early as possible and party will be at a later time during the same day
FAQ:
Isn't 5kcr as minimum requirement a bit low?
Do keep in mind that this is a thread open to all Tiers. For a new player, 5kcr might seem like a lot.
How should I check the value of my gift if I don't know how much it is worth?
Use the AH's lowest buy out price as a reasonable estimate. Do make sure to cross check with some experts in game though.
Can I send my gift early?
I'd prefer if you didn't. It just takes away from the spirit.
What if I can't send my gift on the 25th?
Just send it to me in advance with whatever jolly message you want. I'll forward it to your assigned player on Christmas.
Is this a reputable event?
Despite all technical issues we had, I'm pretty sure the majority of old participants can vouch for the legitimacy of this event.
I'm confused, how does Secret Santa work?
Let's say you were A. You are giving to your selected knight, B. B is giving to C (or in the very unlikely case, back to you, A). Everybody receives a gift regardless (considering there will be an even number no matter what).
What do you mean there will be an even number no matter what?
In my old post, I state In the scenario that we have an odd number of people who sign up then I will jump in and be a Secret Santa too.

There is a few thing i wondered about :
- Who shall i give gift to ? do you choose this ? or do i give it to the people i want ? or You use the secret santa generator ?

-He'll choose who we give to via a generator, and we will find out who it is on the 21st
-You're supposed to send the gift to them via in-game mail as early on the 25th as you can. Not everyone will be able to make it to the party, and the person you're giving to may not be there to receive it in person
-He'll announce that closer to event time.
-On the 21st sometime
-Just one or two (or whatever), depending on what you wanted to give them and what was on their list, as long as it's worth at least 5kcr (example: Looking at my list, you might get me a Frosty Maid Headband, plus a bunch of Blaze Peppers and Torchstones to both even out the temperature and make up the price difference, since I'm pretty sure the headband is worth somewhat less than 5k. For Contri, since all of his are far more than the minimum requirement, you might have to get him something not on his list if you had a low budget, but if you could spend 15k, you could get him the Alchemy Orb he wanted.)
