Er, some help with my party? I feel awkward asking for this in someone else's event thread, but... I would like that :) And this is a wishlist.

I just see a lot of people posting only items that most gifters won't be able to afford, which is of no help to someone who wants to get them a gift. If I get a giftee who has nothing but wings, halos, and hard-to-find items from older boxes, but I can only afford to put 20k (or 50k, or in some cases, 100k) into a gift, then I'm going to have to guess just as much as if they hadn't put together a wishlist at all. Many others have nothing on their list under 100k aside from crowns and energy, which is about as impersonal as you can possibly be and no fun for the gifter to give.
I get the feeling that some people are actually expecting these extravagant gifts, and I don't like to see people disappointed.

I had been under the impression that the wishlists were there to give the gifter an idea of what the giftee might want or need so that they can gift accordingly, rather than to be a list of things the giftee doesn't really expect to get and is in no way actually helpful.

Hmmm...
Perhaps develop a questionnaire for next year, rather than a nebulous wishlist? Things like the color theme of favorite costumes, whether or not trinket/weapon slots are welcome, whether there's an accessory type they like to put on most/all of their costumes, any mats they're specifically collecting, what type/level of sprite food/evo catalysts they might need, any prize boxes they'd particularly like stuff from, etc, and then have a section for "wishful thinking" requests. That way, even if they have a lot of big requests in that last section, any gifters would at least know that they had a Maskewraith they were trying to get to level 100 and had a couple of Heavy-themed costumes that could use some accessories. Maximum spending limits wouldn't have to be a thing, but each person would still have a functioning idea pool of things for their gifter to glean ideas from.
