Elite Orbs of Alchemy. Myth?

Hello forums,

I'm having an obvious issue here.

Can't seem to find these elusive orbs anywhere I've looked, and yes I've googled and investigated each result thoroughly.

Here's another thing: I run places with people, and they say that they've found some elite orbs, whilst all I find is stinking shining shards or glowing shards.

What's the go?

How does one make them drop?

There's been no reliable way for me to find any so far apart from occasionally buying them (but I'm not doing that anymore).

This is a really fun game, but I'm getting really burned out on the fact I need these orbs to advance several pieces of equipment, and it's just not happening.

Unhappy face.

Peace out.

I ran about 10 Elite RJP Runs today & 2 different people got an Elite Orb.

Luck just happens.

@OP The pain doesnt stop

@OP
The pain doesnt stop there.

Once you get to 5*, (after somehow finding eternal orbs), you wipl been about 28k E (or about 2.5 million crowns) to heat up your stuff. Or you could do 534 vanaduke runs if you tancy).

I would wait for next update to see if any changes happen.

2 things.

1. They're rare. Like 1% or less rare. And they only show up in treasure boxes, which means on average you see about 10 per depth you complete. It takes awhile to get them if you want them as a drop... which brings me to point #2.

2. They're easy to find in the supply depot, if you get annoyed trying to find them drop. I haven't tested the exact drop rates since the arcade redux part 1, so I can't recommend doing missions with a higher payout compared to farming for orbs.

You can read more of my analysis in the thread over here. The research is on hold until they complete the arcade redux (hopefully sooner than later).

There are good places and bad places to run for elite orbs

From what i have heard the mission axes of evil(rank6-2) or something is one of the best to farm elite orbs, OCH being the best, just not sure if you have it.
Buying them with CE on supply depot isnt actually that bad of an idea tbh

Stratum 4 arenas and danger rooms are the way to go. The arcade is there for a reason.

@Zeddy

I did 19 T2 arenas, and about 6 danger rooms, not a single Advanced Orb.

There is a arena I went to today to get two advanced orbs in 3 runs I recommend you go check it out, it's wrench warfare from that arcade with the eagle I think, on depth 9

Wow geez, thank you all for

Wow geez, thank you all for your input on this most tricky subject.

I guess I'll just save up a load of cr and buy them from the supply depot, from the looks of it it seems the way to go.

Yeah, three rings, if you're getting a wiff of this, up the drop rate on this item please, because its stupidly low.

One percent on an item you NEED to advance equipment in order to advance levels?

Please.

IMF is also pretty good for

IMF is also pretty good for elite orbs, and it is pretty easy to solo/duo.

Some of the prestige missions are pretty good for boxes too, like Assault on the Machine Shop , although I'm not sure what orbs you would get--I typically do them for shining crystals. Speed running them for boxes then going straight to Haven at the end of the second level rather than using the elevator allows you to do it again too.Scared to Death and White Collar Captives aren't as good since the first has gates since it's candlestick keep-type level, and fiends are harder to avoid and also sometimes have gates with switches and mobs to fight through.

Ya kno? I'm going

I'm going to start taking screenies more often.. because out of 12 Elite JK runs... I got 7 elite orbs.

Then I went and crafted myself a silent nightblade.

OH LAWD don't even get me started on the high drop rate of Eternals.. gosh I could make every 5* in the game with all the darn Eternals I have... I just wish they weren't bound so I can start selling em.

Your 33 eternals are pitiful

Last I checked I had 113 eternal orbs and no idea how to get rid of them.

Now simple orbs... That's another story.
