We're all tired of the bars aren't we? We can never tell what our actual latency is without going to pingtest.net and testing to the location of each server. Well how about this, an improved system for telling us our connection quality. More specifically a tooltip for ping instead of just the bars. It would work something like this:
Keep the bars the way they are, but make it so when you hover your cursor over the bars a tooltip pops up like stats for your gear etc. that shows your latency in ms, as well as maybe your jitter value (jitter is the fluctuation in ping, it's what causes rubberbanding). Maybe as well as the ping values it would be kinda nice to see a small table that shows the threshold of each bar level, such as #-# ms = 1 bar, #-# ms = 2 bars so on and so forth.
0-100ms = 4 bars
100ms - 150ms = 3 bars
150ms - 200ms = 2 bars
>200ms = 1 bar
And on another helpful note, servers are located in Ashburn, Virginia, USA, and Ireland, iirc.
