I've been planning on some guild events with another guild. A snowballfight for example using our members.
However, if we're gonna do this in either guildhall we feel like a certain taco guild will come to screw things up.

So I guess my question would be: Why is it not possible to ban certain people from your guild hall? I mean, guilds are expensive, and a lot of effort goes into building them, I think it's only fair that you'd be able to ward of certain people you don't want chillin' around in there screwing up your events.

You didn't understand the OP. The OP wants to be able to ban certain players coming into the guild hall.

Sounds good

This would be a guild "ignore" list, essentially. I like it! If the banned players list is public within the guild hall, that would be nice too.

In the same sweep, could there be a "banned guilds" list? The easy way out of that is to leave the guild and rejoin, but still...

We definitely need this. It'll not only allow guilds to have events without being disturbed by less-than-mature people, but it'll allow guilds to be more comfortable in keeping their halls open to the public. Back when I ran my own guild, I liked having it open for friends to come and chill out in, but it sucked when others who hate me (Yes there's a number of people, a few of which I could name if I wanted who hate me but I don't care c:) would come into the hall and ruin everything by being an idiot.

Sure I can report them if necessary or use /ignore, but wouldn't it be nicer to be able to teach them a lesson by simply giving them the banhammer from your guild hall? That way when they try to join it again it'll say something like "You have been banned from this guild hall." or "You are no longer allowed to enter this guild hall." And possibly give us the option to add a reason for why they were banned in the first place, very much similar to the way Game Masters ban players from the game. That way it could say something like "You have been banned from this guild hall. You were banned as a result of: "begging for money" or "insulting other players" or "disrupting guild events," stuff like that. It doesn't hinder their ability to play the game so I don't see it being a tool for abuse, other than the fact one might use it to ban a player from their guild hall for no reason or because they don't like them. But in that case the player that has been banned for that reason could report the person who banned them for being offensive or something, who knows.

Either way this is a really good idea and I'm all for it. Please OOO, pwease? :3

OOO, cmon.

How can you be a "guildmaster" if you can't even control who can come into your guildhall or not. It's either everyone gets to enter, or no one.

my 2 cents

IDK where it is but someone made a compilation of the GH implementation they should make, this was one of the 10-20 ideas they put together...

I'd love it...

I just doubt OOO can actually do this because of how technical it is
