You know how I see stubby toes on players? I'm tired of seeing that. Tired of seeing peg legs on players. Okay, fine. There is a little bit of toe space, but other than that, no.
Why not....make the animal-related armor transform the knight?
Like for wolvers, your feet and legs turn more wolver like, with fur and actually hind heels. (I think that is what it is called. :/)
The fur could just be prismatic, or at least related to the armor.
For lizard-related and dragon-related armor, your boring arcane salamander boots could be replaced by, in the picture below:

Sloppy handwriting and drawing for the WIN! :P:P:P
I will draw the Vog Cub Armor feet soon enough to give you guys a feel of what it looks like.
Well, because beasts have been walking on all fours this whole time, their legs are anatomically different than normal humanoids. Their feet are elongated while their calf are scaled down vastly, this provides the pushing force that is evident in canines and felines. They also have larger soles and fatter toes for a better support on the ground, same goes for their paws, well except their fingers are not as long as humanoids have, as well as having a fatter palm/sole.
Technically if you want to see how knights are going to look like if they have these beasty legs, you should check us gremlins out. We stand on our paws, but we bend our knees down so as to balance ourselves. A tail is most appreciated to maintain balance.
Best possible picture to depict our upright position
