I'm tired of somebody accusing me of Auto-Target in Lockdown, and frankly there is no way to show it; i suggest that a red dot be put at the right of someone's name who has AA, or showing if someone has AA when you full inspect them.

-edit: AA toggle will also be shown.
Maybe latency too? :3
Showing if you have AT/AA or not in Lockdown AKA PROVING YOU DON'T USE AA
This is amazing :0 dunno why this never popped in my mind but yeah this seems cool
It should be called the red dot of shame
Because then we find out Contri and Feller have been using AT this whole time, and then we cry, because our so called "superior beings" lied to us.
However toggling would be a way around it, because many don't actually know toggling exist or have it as a control but don't use it, so labelling anyone with AT toggle wouldn't be fair.
I'd leave mine on all the time just to watch people rage about it. Seriously, you guys are just hilarious xD
Quit being a little kid and show people you dont use it.
Like how Jumazo recorded his 1v1 with his phone.
Listen kid, if an option in your settings has to be shown to everybody, then your GEAR should be 100% visible to everybody. The amount of money you have, the screen resolution you're playing at, the FPS you have, literally EVERYTHING should be transparent.
I'm not defending AT, it's for people who play with their feet or have no hand eye coordination. But this suggestion is beyond stupid.
So you're suggesting that for every time someone doubts someone they should make a movie..
If you're gonna be aggressive in your comments at least think twice before you post.
Anyway: yes suggestion isn't great because the schism in LD would reach new heights.
This only diverts from the main issue, which is that we could do with some lobbies.
AT isnt the problem. Its what kind of person the player is.
People who are the bird poop on the bottom of the bin? These people are the lockdown trash.
Example? Dootytooty.
People who have no prob being open about AT and are skilled yet polite? These people are the gems.
Example? Almapirlo (seriously nice person).
That about sums it up.
HAHAHAHA bird poop at the bottom of the bin.... Omfg...
this suggestion is not to spark an all out witch hunt of aa but as to protect players that keep getting accused of it viciously (like myself) and who are sick and tired of being called a noob by some people... Also, if you do happen to play with aa, the red dot or inspect would not deem you without skill, but be irrevelant, as to end any further questioning.
WHY
Don't
they
just
remove
it
in
pvp
@cyrd Scenario: Hey look at my 40k dmg with no UVs and no trinkets (player has full inspect off). Full inspect should always be ON to stop these bums from getting big heads. Most people that have it off, have things they want to hide. Same can be said for Lagging, nobody can prove they are lagging without a video. People feel the need to talk about every disadvantage they have so people think they are pro.
At least it'd stop people for being hypocrites. Maybe it would also make people realise that LD is about a lot more than AT but I'm probably putting my hopes too high.
@Cyrd:
"WHY Don't they just remove it in pvp"
Because erryone lives in Virgina, aight?
I suggest they get marked with some kind of green/brown-ish aura that looks so ugly that they'll stop using it.
Make them explode in pips as well every time they have to resort to combo'ing someone with 200+ ping they still can't hit otherwise, 'cause that's kinda common scenery recently.
why not remove AA altogether? Because a lot of people have argued for that already to no avail. And most players would leave LD after they ealized that they have no skill.
I think it'd be more effective if OOO applied a keyboard/mouse macro sniffing and checks to detect changes to the files themselves. I know there are cases where people do alchemer switch bugs that shoot + switch + increment angle of gun via one button. Another one would be to triple combo an acheron at the right times for perfect invinciframing with a single button press for all three combos. Not to mention there's reason to believe people are modifying the models and textures for recons to spot the ones that are cloaked very easily now. I'd reckon a major percentage of LD uses macros, while a half a dozen might be modifying files themselves to pick out cloaked recons.
O_o Whoah people actually do that? I thought AA was bad enough.
Yes it happens.
I've heard of a handfull of players who mod their client so that they are able to spot cloaked recons and also don't set of a deathmark when they are recon themselves. The latter one is pure speculations based on various dialogues on my end. The first one however, is true.
you can't change something the game does by changing client files, just what it shows you. For recons not showing a deathmark, thats not a mod, theres a trick to doing that.
Ok, so I normally use guns (alchemer, valiance, biohazard lines) and there's a surefire way to really tell that AT isn't a factor in their playstyle:
For mobile guns (basically everything except autogun/magnus lines), AT doesn't lock on if the user is moving during the shot (proof).
Unfortunately, despite this, there is no immunity from "bottom of the bin" scrubs who whine and complain at everything that kills them. As I said in another thread, I had someone pretty much harass me about how I was "using AT" for half an hour after he stopped playing with me, lecturing me about how it works even while walking with guns (^ see video: it doesn't) and how doesn't work for heavy swords (see game: it does). And he wouldn't stop until I took him to a GTH and had him try it in front of me.
ugh either way, the loser side of this community that doesn't own up to their own failings (failing to read/position and then blaming something else for their loss) is the worst.
i never asked to remove AT
i see this thread as a way for you to say "i dont use AT" in a public manner. too bad theres no proof.
and again, there are different things that should be made transparent before Auto Target.
@scirio:
Not deathmarking people isn't hard.
Spotting recon footsteps isn't hard either.
You'd have to be pretty wannabe to mod your client for that.
What about the people who actually use Auto-Target because they have latency issues?
They're just going to be hated on because of something they can't control?
You don't need a marker like this for that to happen, sadly.
but then removing AA altogether for LD would be nice...
Play Recon. Those pesky Auto-Target users sure will have a hard time hitting you then.
Wait, what's that? They're -still- hitting you? Hmm...
This is actually partly why I use recon lol. When you're cloaked, they have no choice but to actually use deliberately (...or randomly) placed attacks because AT doesn't lock onto cloaked targets. And if they can see your footsteps? All the same, because any decent recon needs to be able to fight while visible.
The only time I really care about an opponent using AT is when they're using hammer, because it makes it a lot easier to aim a "critical" double ricochet when they dash directly towards me :D
---
On a slightly unrelated note, I've been playing around with 3 hit swords (well, Voltedge/WHB/Honor/FoV) to try to empathize with the people who can't use guns. When I die (and I do, often) it's because I don't yet have the sword footwork and timing to step in and cut off their movements before they intend to hit me (as I'm used to doing with guns). Still not buying the whole "AT unfairness" crap that you people love to whine about. You can aim in the right direction, but it's pointless if you don't have the timing/range to do it.
It's to stop all of those ragers of accusing others of aa!
Solution:
Record every time you play LD and show your AT and AT toggle unboxed and unmapped.
You do and you do again, they don't believe it when you deny AA, and they keep raging; it's more than one person so I don't feel like ignoring everybody; how about just putting out there for those noobs to see i don't have AA?
That
Or you could just stop caring about others' opinions and proof-lacking accusations.
If they're especially bad, tell them to use AT and beat you. I mean it's such an advantage, and magically stop you from hitting them, riiiight? It makes such a big difference, riiiiiiiiiiight?
...I really do think that the only way to stop this is to make auto target unimportant and irrelevant.
disclaimer: speaking to 3-4 bar players here.
this will stop the AA ragers? well sorry to break it to ya hun, you're not important enough to have a setting built in the game shown publicly for everybody.
also you forgot about:
UV ragers
Connection ragers
FPS ragers
heated gear ragers
5* gear ragers
@Cyrd
We are talking about the predominant (by far) cause of rage.
Try taking 2nd grade again to work on your inference skills.
Those ragers you mentioned barely constitute 1% of ragers.
I understand the light under which you make this Dragon. I have seen you play and you are a very skilled player and you must always be bothered about it obviously.
However, this suggestion is extremely bad.
Lemme explain.
-Latency players. A big percentage of people in this game are affected so badly with lag that they have to use AT.
-People with unheated gear. Weak weapons, no chance at winning but luck.
-People with terrible computers. I am one of those people. I don't use AT(It screws me up all the time. I hate it.) but, my graphics card is a piece of cardboard. Whenever I dash past someone for no good reason or have a big opportunity to kill someone and didn't , the chances are I went through a frame spike or lagged. (No siriusly that is how it is 52% of the time.)
-This will make LD worse and more chaotic. People will constantl be bullied and the game will be to negative and LD would be a bad place to be all the time.. You are taking away one meager problem and adding in 20 more.
- If you are true about people leaving, at least 30% will leave LD. And LD is one of the main attractions of the game.
"-Latency players. A big percentage of people in this game are affected so badly with lag that they have to use AT."
"affected so badly with lag that they have to use AT."
"they have to use AT."
No. Everyone make their own choices. And anyone who chooses to use AT is a ******* noob.
Like I said, I don't want to remove AA altogether, but just get some sweet vindication from countless ragers; and I am not the only one that has to deal with these people.

PS Maybe SK can show latency like Leaghe of Legends.
Bleyu keeps telling me to "leAAve lockdown", that line getting a bit old mate.
But I suppose simple minds are amused by simple things.
This.
