It's what you're trying to do here but you fail so miserably at it, that the people actually doing a fine job at it have to interrupt it to clean up your mess.

before guild updates, we used it as a way to symbolize we'd never go over 69 members, but then after the guild update we decided to just keep it around for old times' sake and it eventually spread from there outside of the guild, and for those who don't have a history lesson on why we use it, it ends up getting seen as such; and as a result of the aforementioned jumping the gun and blatant lack of research before fingerpointing, i didn't see the need to volunteer the information when it was frankly more enjoyable just watching you all make idiots of yourselves for no reason

at the end of the day, it's not our fault it picked up the double entendre you all gave it, but at this point i kind of like how much it's grown

but yeah, that's pretty much it - hence why i also said i'd take the warning/ban for it, because assuming OOO kept logs from that far back of guild development, such as member registrations, removals, additions, promotions/demotions, and the like, they could go verify it themselves

so are we done beating a dead horse for no apparent reason yet, because i'm starting to feel like this is the only apt way of describing what's happening anymore

Okay so tell me why this is relevant to why 69 should be used in an inappropriate way? So you guys don't use it to mean something vulgar but that doesn't stop others from using it that way. I know it appears as if others may be using 69 as a way to attack EoS, but in all seriousness, despite the origin of 69 it has spread to be something vulgar. As I said in the original thread, how would the issue of 69 itself be brought up without it make it look like EOS was being attacked? I myself am not targeting EoS, so please stop the in game torment.

I guess mostly it was making fun of how we don't approve of 69 by talking about it in the same Haven I was in. I'm assuming it was intentional. I guess the real harassing was someone (I'm assuming someone from EoS because it happened right after the Haven incident) made a knight named Sixtynine-Hollows and mailed me 69 Wicked Idols. Though it shows badly upon their character, I don't consider it cyber bullying.

the wonderful thing here is, this isn't the french premier league. and i'm not going out of my way to intentionally expose you to it any more than you already have been, so as it is it's not even remotely close to enticing hostile responses from anyone. for the most part, we keep it to ourselves outside of the occasional public chat where we're amongst friends. on that note, i think we've ventured far beyond "respectful" given the direction you tend to steer all of your discussions, either by labeling someone's way of thinking as "unreasonable", "lame", or going a bit further and labeling the person themselves as something they're not based solely off of your opinion.

i will not stop using it, and i will not be asking anyone else to stop using it either, either within the guild or outside of it. if you're offended by it because of a label others have attached to it, take it up with the others. if you think our reasoning for using it is lame, then that's on you and your inability to think beyond the scope of your own experiences, which apparently must be pretty chaste considering you're offended enough by two numbers to try and get an entire guild warned/banned just off of the suspicion that we're up to no good.

It is bullying so report it. If you want to make a difference don't allow the bullies to get away with it. We have done nothing wrong. We haven't directly mentioned names yet they continue to make fun of the situation by targeting players.

I'm honestly really confused at the lack of authority in this game. No other game forum I have been to is managed like this.

@Arcknightdelta: Although your original intention may not have been directed at a specific group or person, you are taking it down to that now. It's easy to get emotionally involved with it especially with the opposing side has acted in the manner in which they have, but it's still best to try to remain neutral. Plus that only adds to their idiocy if their the only one doing anything direct.

Well that's not really what I meant. More like you are letting your emotions show. It's what they will feed off of if you let them. It's also what you are feeding off of.

like i said, i've no intention of not using <69 in any way, shape, or form at this point based on the last day or so of you constantly belittling those who have differing opinions from your own, nor will that change if it becomes something that becomes a new addendum to the terms of service. you can't preach values of respect and equality while simultaneously attempting to backhand anyone who offers a different mindset than you. and yeah, people have claimed that 69 a sexual reference - where exactly did i say it wasn't? i said that <69 was not, so perhaps you should be the one taking notes at this point.

After having a cup of tea. I have decided..........I have made a point for all to see, I can't completely respect the reasoning of why some think it is ok to use an online slang abbreviation as a joke, if it means something obscene, others have made a point either for or against my point, I have submitted a wad of emails to 000s enforcing why I think harsher action should be taken, they are in charge of enforcing the rules, I shall not bring this topic up ever again.

AKD, I'm glad you are letting it go, it's for the best. I saw one suggestion from someone, I don't recall whom, but I agree it's a great idea. A forum ignore feature, where you can ignore certain players. Sadly, with Drupal, I don't think that can be done :C
